What did you do today in ME?

dragontartare: Were you aware that a krogan head appears in DAI? It's part of Leliana's loyalty mission.

Ian Shepard/Adept in ME1: (Note: Had to launch from desktop instead of Origin so I could set the game properties to emulate XP SP2 since I was getting massive stuttering - problem solved.)

- Probably saved an amateur from certain death and returned her to her bar job at Flux alongside her sister.
- Took command of the Normandy!
- The Mako is meant for rough riding. I swear it's not me.
- The Cult of Kyle is no more since "Father" is dead.

Well, shit. I have to redo everything I did yesterday because the save I had from the monastery has Liara in the party instead of Garrus.   So, that's 3 missions to re-do, plus all the running around and scanning in between, including the first trip to Bryson's lab. Uggh....

On the plus side, I get to have lunch with Kaidan again.  

Ian Shepard:

- Found Admiral Kahoku's men, all dead at the hands of a thresher maw. There was a distress beacon present that lured them in. Killed the thresher maw.
- Rescued an asari archaeologist from Saren's forces and the geth. Got a new ally named Liara T'Soni.
- Killed an asari slaver/pirate.
- Destroyed a rogue VI on Luna. Became a Nemesis.

The dog tags are most likely new ones.  They show that Anderson came to the Defense Committee meeting with an intention of also getting Shepard reinstated into the Alliance (per his line - "We'll get it sorted out.")  However, the Defense Committee meeting was interrupted by the Reaper attack, so Anderson just used his own authority to reinstate Shepard (a field reinstatement) with Hackett later confirming Anderson's decision. 

If the player did the LotSB DLC, it is also possible that the dog tags are Shepard's original ones... confiscated from Shepard's cabin during the retrofit, which was originally started in order to convert Normandy into Anderson's mobile command vessel.  Anderson carrying them to the meeting would still simply show his prior intention to have the Defense Committee reinstate Shepard during the meeting.

If the player did not do LotSB, then the last place the dog tags are seen is on Liara's desk on Illium (although they are never explicitly identified as Shepard's dog tags).  In that case, those dog tags on Liara's desk could perhaps be the dog tags that once belonged to the person lost on Virmire or they are Shepard's and  her "fixation" with Shepard is a reason why she squirrels them away without telling anyone about them... even Shepard.

The first thing I did yesterday was go to Horizon to find out why the colony had gone silent. Unlike last time, the praetorian did not get the better of me...but a group of mooks did. I did not take any screenshots of that epic fail.

Ashley was thrilled to see Shepard and spoke proudly about her to one of the colonists, until Shepard mentioned Cerberus.

She was still kinder than I remember Kaidan being. She was angry, confused, and disappointed, but not verbally abusive. She actually stayed pretty calm. We'll see how the reunion goes in ME3.

Next, Laura went to Ilium where she heard Liara was living. Along the way, she ran into the woman she helped on Noveria, who had one more favor to ask. Shepard was happy to spend five minutes uncovering some illegal weapon imports.

She also found Conrad Verner, who had begun impersonating a naval officer and was causing trouble at a local club. She told him to leave the hard work to her, but not before threatening the asari who tricked him into doing it in the first place.


Ok...so here was the frustrating part of my play session. I started Shadow Broker.

First, the reunion. The best I can say about it is that breaking up with Liara to get with Garrus should be easy, because I won't feel bad for Liara anymore. For Shepard, they haven't been apart for that long, but for Liara...it is clear that she has mostly moved on in those two years. I mean, their reunion was basically, "OMG Shepard, hiiii!" *kisskiss* "Now let's talk about ME and my problems!"

THEN, speaking of "Commander Dumbass"...there should be an option to tell the random asari/obvious villain to go straight to hell. No, I will NOT tell you what my former lover has been-- what's that? Oh, I am going to tell you? Well...never mind.

Finally, during the boss battle, Shepard got stuck in the geometry and was completely exposed to enemy fire, so I reloaded to right before the fight. Game crashed. I restarted my computer, tried to reload the game, except now ALL my saves from LotSB say "unknown area" and will not load. So, tomorrow I get to redo the whole DLC again 

Well I played a crap ton of ME 3 today both SP and MP. Let's see I saved a missing Turian platoon and then helped them diffuse a bomb on Tuchanka, seized a ground to air gun turret on Tuchanka from cerberus, saved some civilians on Benning, helped Grunt exterminate some reaperized rachni, and played around 4 or 5 mp matches. Diving into ME 3 does help take the edge off waiting for Andromeda (though I practically spoiled the first few hours for myself anyway, damn you youtube and twitch)

I'm not sure, but maybe it could be either that they're new ones, or that Shepard gave the ones he got from Liara (if done LotSB) to Anderson when they were thrown in the brig. I kind of like the second idea and I plan something like that for one of my soon to be played Sheps.
Yes, I miss ME terribly and made aaaaall the plans to compensate for currently not playing

I'm doing the same thing Figured it makes more sense to pay for a month of Origin Access and see if I like the game, rather than pay for the full game later and possibly end up not liking it.


I ended up getting one of my corrupted ME2 saves to work, so I didn't have to redo all of Shadow Broker up to that point
