Curious Crow Yes, the Cerb Lab for reaper tech and the cannon on Tuchanka are still available after the coup. You just can't turn in the goodies you find for war assets. Update: DL now at 14%

Jane Shepard went to Feros, where she killed some Geth. Then she took a tank, and killed some Geth. Then she entered a building, and killed some Geth. Then she dislodged a Geth ship from the building, which killed some Geth. Then she headed back to the main colony, and killed some Geth along the way. When she finally made it back to the colony, she found some zombies. She killed the zombies. There was a lot of zombies. She also knocked out a bunch of crazy colonists that were trying to shoot her. Then she went underground to go chop down a big plant.
And then I shut the game off because the next part was going to take way too long and I wanted to get to bed. (I am playing on Insanity and Thorian Creepers can take an insane amount of bullets.

Jake Shepard helped Aria kick Cerberus off Omega. Went paragon this time so she reluctantly let Pretrovsky go. Rescued Ann Bryson from her dig site that was under attack by a shitload of harvesters and all the troops they literally dropped off. Next stop: once again don the monkey suit to meet with the quarian admirals DL at 40% - only 2 to go before playable status.

Laura Shepard, Colonist, Sole Survivor After getting one of my corrupted Shadow Broker saves to work, Obvious Asari Villain captured a nearby human as a hostage, but Shepard distracted her long enough for Liara to hit her with a table. I tried to get a nice shot of the table flying, but all I managed to catch was Asari Villain Butt, so I'll spare you. After defeating her second rogue spectre, Shepard tried to talk to Liara, again. Unfortunately, Liara didn't want to talk about "us" yet. She was still too obsessed with trying to find the Shadow Broker, so off they went to Planet Perpetual Cyclone. I kind of liked the atmosphere of SB's base, like I could get blown off the top of that ship at any second. Nothing really remarkable about the rest of the mission, except that Liara seemed more concerned about her drell friend than she ever did about Shepard. Who DIED. So, maybe I won't do her romance on my next run after all. I don't know. It feels kind of like dating a self-involved 19-year-old (which is what Liara is, I suppose). Which is fine if you're also 19, but not so nice when you're in your 30s. Does Shepard always grab Liara like this after the fight? Or is it a romance thing? After Liara helped her up, Shepard looked mildly disgusted and stomped off to help Garrus, who'd been knocked out in the cutscene before the fight. I tried three different versions of the breakup after that, including choosing the angriest options, but that made Shepard feel way too hurt and I don't want Garrus to be the rebound guy. He is her true love, after all So Shepard and Liara broke up amicably and said goodbye with a hug... ...even though Shepard still looked sad and lonely (and like a scary mannequin??) after she left. Next came a few minor quests and Jack's loyalty mission. Shepard learned a lot about Jack, and a lot about Cerberus. I wish there were some angrier dialogue options on this mission, but I still enjoyed it this time as I did last time. Shepard convinced Jack to spare her fellow torture subject. Back on Ilium, Shepard ran into an asari emissary of the rachni queen, who had a message to deliv-- holy shit. Why BioWare why?And then the asari went back to normal. And hit on Shepard, I think.

or they are Shepard's and her "fixation" with Shepard is a reason why she squirrels them away without telling anyone about them... even Shepard. I would like Bioware to explain why she has them and why she gives 2 versions of how they ended up in her possession? I now have this mental image of Liara and Anderson bullying Shepard by playing "Monkey in the middle", tossing his dog tags back and forth while Shepard tries to catch them. My Shepard wouldn't play that crap. She would shoot both of them. Take her dogtags without looking back.

dragontartare Yes, the scene always happens like that, even if Shepard's current LI is the other party member. It's one reason a lot of people don't like Liara.

Another ME3 playthrough completed What did I do? I know I did a little bit of this. I did some of that. I did a lot of the other thing. Yeah I know. Not very exciting. Would it be more exciting if my Shepard defeated the reapers with snowballs? No. How about my Shepard just ignored the reapers. That could work. What she did is turn her back to them. The reapers were at a loss of what to do. This never happened before. They went back to darkspace disappointed that everyone ignored them.

I must resist accessing that part of the forum where ME:A is discussed. 23rd March is so close... I. MUST. RESIST. ***** Meantime, Lilith Shepard took some baby steps in her fight against the reapers. She chased and found Leviathan and convinced the big bastard to join the fight against the reapers. Ann Bryson was a bit "damaged" in the process. And Lilith (and James) stole a new decoration for Shepard's cabin. Poor space hamster. Lilith Shepard is in her cabin now, trying to survive the hell of a headache got as a present from Leviathan. And she is concerned about future: assuming they all survive and reapers are destroyed, what about this new evil she unleashed upon the world? As if hordes of violent, bloodthirsty krogans weren't enough? I had to reload the last part several times. It looks like all the companions I tried have priority in front of Garrus in being concerned about Shepard and running to save her. For me it works only with Javik. Citadel meet-ups and party now. The end is near.

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME1 Hardcore:
Exploring the Argos Rho cluster with Garrus and Liara:
Metgos: traced a distress call from a stricken vessel, the Sacred Angel. It turned out to be a geth trap. All hostiles were neutralized using the Mako's weapons, on account of the planet being a heat hazard.
Tuntau: located a pirate hideout. Cleared the place out. The leader, Tonn Actus, had little of interest in his vault besides a tatty suit of krogan armour.
Voyager Cluster:
Binthu: raided three heavily-defended Cerberus research facilities and found clear evidence of rachni and Thorian cloning experiments. Recovered Admiral Kahoku's body.

So last night I fired up my xbox one to see if I had early access to MEA and it turns that I did. Who knew. Well safe to say I played that sucker until 4 am when I hit the limit for how far it will let me go in the story until release day. I still have time to mess around with it if I want but I will wait until release day. So today it was back to ME 3 for me and Nathan Shepard supposedly "cured" the genophage or at least Wreav believes he did. Funny thing is Nathan did manage to get Salarian support even though the genophage had been "cured". Either way the Salarian councilor now wants to meet with Nathan on the Citadel. Apparently Udina might be corrupt.

Laura Shepard, Colonist, Sole Survivor I didn't get around to any MET today due to playing the Andromeda trial, but here's what I did yesterday. Since Jack's loyalty mission was done, Miranda's was next so I could get their resulting fight out of the way. Miranda's LM went swimmingly for everyone who wasn't her life-long duplicitous friend, Whatsisface. Pointing a gun at Whatsisface Whatsisface pleading for mercy Shepard, granting him mercy Whatsisface's corpse, having not received enough mercy This time...unlike the first time...I had plenty of morality points to keep BOTH Jack and Miranda loyal! Whoopee!! Wish I had enough renegade points to tell them both to cut that shit out, but that will have to be a different Shepard in the future. I feel like Shepard really should step between them here and push them to opposite corners of the room. Got drunk with Chakwas. Next, it was time to go after Sidonis! I got this weird idle animation from Garrus. He wanted to pop his collar, I think. The suave bastard. Shepard asked Garrus at least twice if he was ok. I think it started to piss him off. Shepard, showing more mercy, this time for Harkin. Harkin got to live! Go Harkin! Would Sidonis also get to survive the day? I hadn't decided before triggering the cutscene, so I had to think fast. Come hither, Sidonis, and be sniped. (Or not?) He lived, so I could see how the scene played out, and I ended up liking it. He's a pathetic character. Weak and cowardly, rather than evil. Maybe he'll atone one day. Finally, a derpy derp face for your general amusement.

When we last left our heroine Jane Shepard (Vanguard), she was ready to go chop down a giant plant. Well...
She killed a lot of zombies and an Asari clone, then shot a root. Then she repeated this ritual until the plant fell into a giant hole. As a reward, a real Asari popped out and gave her The Cipher. It was as lame as it sounds.
Then Jane headed to the moon to shut down a VI program. She entered a base, destroyed some drones, then blew up some computer nodes. Then she entered a second base, destroyed some drones, and blew up some computer nodes. Then she entered a third base, destroyed some drones, and blew some computer nodes. Then she became a Shock Trooper Vanguard.
Next, Jane headed to Noveria. She traded a smuggled package to the administrator in exchange for a garage pass. She entered the garage and killed some Geth. Then she took a Mako and killed some more Geth. Then she entered Peak 15, killed a Geth Juggernaut and some Krogan. She ventured further into the structure, killed some more Geth, then killed some giant bugs, and finally repaired the facility VI.

Since MEA will be released Tuesday, I will do a trilogy run. I will start it late tomorrow once I finish my DAI playthrough. The other thing is that my ME3 playthrough will feature the Banana Peel playthrough. Its been about two years since I did that playthrough. It was one of the funniest playthroughs I've done. The other thing is for the folks that will be playing MEA on Tuesday. I challenge you to do a trilogy run before that day. Will you accept?

I am trying to test damage protection formula for good old ME1 since it looks like there may have been irregularities. Reading memory to try and get relatively precise numbers.
Running into a really annoying issue though (unless I just flat out am not remembering how to test correctly, which is possible). It looks like if you have any health regen in ME1 it will tick all the time... so printing health changes gives me a bunch of extraneous crap like this:
At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.012 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.010 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.011 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.010 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.009 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.014 Health Damage : -0.016 At Timediff: 0.013 Health Damage : -0.016 ...

Ian Shepard:
- Feros: Saved the colony of Zhu's Hope, with the exception of those turned into Thorian creepers and Fei Dan, who shot himself in the head. Killed all the geth. Destroyed an ancient plant with mind control powers. Rescued an asari from Thorian control. She helped me with a "cipher" from the Thorian that gave me the ancestral memories of the Protheans. - Liara tried to help me make sense of the Prothean ancestral memories but it turns out the beacon was damaged and incomplete. - The MSV Cornucopia was found adrift and full of husks. The crew had been mind controlled by an artifact and made to enter the Perseus Veil, home of the geth. - Found an ExoGeni research facility filled with Thorian creepers, many of which were loose on the planet. The lead scientist refused to turn herself in and she and her mercs paid for it with their lives. - Found a pyramid on Chasca. Universal or signs that something has visited Earth? Also found a facility with dragon's teeth and husks. They were all owned by Cerberus. Not good when humans are churning out these monsters. Another facility had some strange bugs. Last facility had a giant version of the bug next to Admiral Kohaku's corpse. Worst of all, Kohaku wasn't killed by the bug. There was evidence of needle marks. Cerberus killed him. Oh, and there was another pyramid. - Came to disable an explosive espionage probe the Alliance had sent into turian space in the wake of the First Contact War. It was a trap to kill me but I was able to disable the bomb. - Destroyed a Cerberus base and gathered some encrypted intel. - Fanatical biotics took Chairman Burns hostage aboard the MSV Ontario. The complaint was about refusing reparations for biotics with L2 implants. Even though Kaidan was with me, I understood their position since most L2's suffered far worse than migraines. Would have been a massacre but things ended peacefully.

Today Karan attended an academic lecture at Grissom Academy and got a tour through the Sur-Kesh labs. Explosions were involved. Also the Vindicator was dropped for the Mattock. Dislike that those two refuse to shoot in streams, but still, Karan will endure. He might also have saved the Hanar Homeworld with Kasumi. There were some minor explosions involved. Also listened to Avina for the first time (I think). She had interesting things to say, so that was nice. The game was quite glitchy today. Guardian shields made short appearances between saves and Liara decided to stand in front of the camera during some cutscenes. But no getting stuck on walls, so I'm fine with it. Also learned that I'm way more fond of Wreav than Wrex.
Current plan is to skip N7 missions until Tali is on board. Wondering if I can do the bomb stuff with her, but pretty sure the answer is no (since I'm keeping the Rachni stuff until after she's on board. Spider shrieks are the best shrieks after all). If I'm lucky I might be able to get Ash on the ground team at least. Plan for next session is to do a chat sweep of the Normandy, finish all planned talks on the Citadel and then start plowing through the main quest. Also need to remember to feed the fish, because Karan is poor and can't afford to employ robot Kelly just yet. But he did give the fleshy one a big hug today and gave her some stylistic tips to survive in this futuristic world. So all in all it was a slightly productive day for Karan and company.

Posted what I found with ME1 damage protection in the thread here: bsn.boards.net/post/424918/threadA few interesting observations though: -Damage protection stacking seemed to indeed work as per first post, wiki, old timers, etc... at least for weapon damage. -Shepard was taking two hits per Krogan melee most of the time, unless his effective dp was 68 or better. Not entirely sure what is going on there, or if that is really what trips it. First hit was not affected by damage protection, but second was (if hit twice...). If a math wiz wants to look at it and help figure it out, there are a lot of numbers in there. -Ash and Liara both had a hidden 25% damage protection bonus, I assume all squadmates have it. Tested on Insanity, I suppose it could vary. -Liara only took a single hit per melee no matter what her damage protection was. So I don't know why it seems to work differently for Shepard.

Ian Shepard:
- Cleared out a terrorist base, one civilian casualty. Killed a thresher maw. - Another thresher maw down. Found an ExoGeni mine where everyone had been turned into husks by an artifact they had found. Disabled a transmitter that was causing satellites to crash. - Took out a Syndicate hideout. - Second Syndicate base down. - Found a man in a coma on the MSV Worthington and a woman who killed everyone to prevent him from being taken off life support. Killed her when she attacked and put the guy to rest. - Cleared a pirate base and randomly found Wrex's grandfather's armor - which I only knew because I randomly had Wrex with me. Third pyramid. - Concluded my business with Helena Blake and made a tidy sum. - Landed on Noveria, found out Benezia was at the Peak 15 facility and had to jump through some serious hoops to get permission to go there. - Encountered those bugs again at Peak 15 and learned they're called Rachni. Supposed to be extinct.

I was away from ME for a few months. Replayed starfleet academy, phantasy star iv and played a lot of Arkham Knight.
About a month ago, I did a trilogy run with an engineer (my favorite class) that relied a lot on drones, turrets and debuffs, but never used sabotage on machines.
Today, played a lot of ME3 MP. Ended with a platinum extraction (all hands) controlling a geth trooper (assisted by another trooper and two juggs) on reactor against the geth faction. Man, I am going to miss the Geth A LOT in Andromeda. Same goes for the Quarians.
I think I will try a Soldier trilogy run prior to Mass Effect Andromeda.

The other thing is for the folks that will be playing MEA on Tuesday. I challenge you to do a trilogy run before that day. Will you accept? I would love to, but there is this concept called 'time' and I do not have enough of it.

When we last left Jane Shepard, she had just finished repairing a VI on Noveria...
Jane Shepard killed a bunch of bugs and repaired some landlines. Then she destroyed a bunch of Geth and repaired some fuel lines. Fixing those two problems allowed her to take a tram to Rift Station, where she met some stressed-out people. One of those people asked her to go cure some toxin. She cured the toxin, but had to fight some Asari and some Geth to do it.
Then Jane confronted Benezia, who sent out her minions to attack her. First it was Asari commandos, then Geth. Then finally Geth and Asari Commandos. At this point Benezia (briefly) broke free of indoctrination and helped Shepard bu giving her the location of the Mu Relay, before attacking her again. Benezia died painfully. The Rachni Queen asked Shepard to spare her life, so Jane let her go free. Then it was off to the hot labs to kill the rest of the bugs. Jane really hates bugs.
Next, it was off to Virmire to go meet with some Salarians. Jane took the Mako to go shut down some AA guns and kill some Geth. (Jane really hates murderbots.) The Salarian captain, Kirrahe, told Jane they had found Saren's base and he was breeding Krogan. Wrex wanted a cure to the genophage and got into a heated argument with Jane, but Ashley killed him before he attacked. Then it was off to go plant a bomb in the facility, giving Jane more opportunity to kill more Geth and Salarians, and husks, and pretty much everything else that moved. Jane really likes shooting things.
Jane found a beacon, talked to Sovereign -- Saren's ship that is also a Reaper -- and learned that the facility also studied indoctrination. It explained the Salarians. Jane got into a confrontation with Saren, which delayed her from helping both Ashley and Kaidan, so she had to bugger out while Ashley stayed with the bomb.

I just love ME3! I wasn't able to import my Shepard's face unfortunately and the CC was just horrific. I was ready to give up on my first and only f!Shep playthrough until I noticed that the default f!Shep looks remarkably similar to my custom so I decided to go with that and haven't regretted it one bit.
Today I tried to get the council to save earth but they're typically not interested in humanity (why did I save them again? They either have short memories or no gratitude). Nice to see Udina hasn't changed one bit, though. His first and foremost priority has seemingly always been humanity's advancement and that I can respect. He never was the typical corrupted, lazy and greedy politician, not in my mind.
So finally returned to Normandy. Annoyed by everyone mentioning "welcome back to the Alliance" like it's a big deal and something they need to constantly remind Shepard of. Even more annoying to hear Anderson was planning to use my Normandy as his mobile battlestation (or whatever). Pffft. I gave him the councilor's job and he couldn't even do that. Well, at least I don't have to deal with him.

Ian Shepard:
- Continuing on Noveria (which for the first time is free of turning everyone into blocks)...Helped retrieve a plague cure (killing that bitchy asari along the way). Used a maintenance tunnel to reach Matriarch Benezia rather than kill more guards. Fought geth, asari commandos and Benezia herself, who had been indoctrinated by Saren - or his ship. Saved the Rachni Queen but destroyed all of her children. - Tracked down Dr. Saleon for Garrus and let him make the kill. No more brutal experiments from that guy. - Killed a thresher maw. - Stopped Balak from destroying a human colony. Killed a lot of batarians and saved the human hostages. - Headed to Virmire and fought lots of geth. Convinced Wrex that Saren's genophage cure had to be destroyed. Assisted Captain Kirrahe in turning a drive core into a bomb to destroy the Virmire facility. Had a one-on-one with Sovereign, Saren's ship, which is actually a Reaper. Fought Saren but he escaped. Ash gave her life for the cause. - The Council didn't believe the Reaper threat and Udina grounded me.
