Raises hand. How did you get Garrus in civvies on the Normandy? Mod? Yes, it's a mod on Nexus mods, kind of complicated to install, too. I broke the game two or three times trying to get it in. I still want to install a dress mod for Shepard for Citadel DLC, and I'm so worried I'm going to break my game again. I like posting screenshots regardless, but I'm really glad some people actually like looking at them, too. I always like seeing other people's shots. I would post more screenshots for ME if creating them was as easy as DA. Instead of hitting the Printscreen button where they autosave, I have to "print screen", tab out of the game, paste screenshot into Paint, and save manually. This makes cutscene shots nigh impossible and everything else a time-consuming PITA. Can't even do that in MEA though - all I ended up with was blank screens. WHY???!!

Cool, I have both of those. I just noticed them on the space map and visited them without getting any mission assignment. Does Pinnacle Station help you level up? I read in the Wikia that it's better to do Bring Down the Sky after level 50 to get the highest level gift. (Colossus armor?) I'm currently Level 40. Other than Pinnacle Station, the only quests left are main plot quests. Pinnacle Station only awards XP when you achieve the highest score in each arena (you don't get additional XP for besting yourself). Overall it's the same XP as killing 13 thresher maws or geth primes. But it's a combat gauntlet and the time trials can be frustrating. If you finish it you gain access to the only bottomless grenade dispenser in the game and a store that sells high-end gear, though you don't get to pick the item (you get a random selection from about 15-20 items). As for Bring Down the Sky, I always go there early to get the 2 or 3 grab-and-go omni-tools lying around but then I defer the fight at the main facility until I'm above level 43. Colossus armor is great at any level but if it's rank VII or above, you get an extra upgrade slot.

No fraps or anything similar installed on your computer? I've got Nvidia GeForce Experience, which autosaves screenshots in any full-screen game when I press printscreen. It caches video too, in lengths you specify beforehand, then can save that video to the harddrive with a keypress. It's pretty convenient, and the only game I had any issues with was DAO, though I managed to find a workaround. The program is a free download, though I don't know whether an Nvidia card is required to use it. I haven't tried fraps myself, but it is pretty popular.

1) Just scan the Keeper regardless. It's not like Avina can do anything. She's just an information VI. This may not be the one you're missing, though. It's 21 in all. 2) No. Trust me, you'll find plenty of worthless junk to destroy. You can only carry so much and plenty of things will end up being of so low value that it's just as well to convert it to omni-gel than to sell it. 3) Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station. Depending on where you bought the trilogy you may already have them. They aren't available for sale. It's possible to get Bring Down the Sky separately but not Pinnacle Station. Bring Down the Sky is referenced in a minor way in ME3 but Pinnacle Station doesn't add much of anything. I was unaware of that. I only started playing Mass Effect in early 2016. I'm doing a new trilogy playthrough (NG+) so my Shepard is already above 50. I'll see how it works out. Pinnacle Station is essentially tournament fights. There's a prize for completing Pinnacle Station but it doesn't transfer to future games. Too bad, because it's like in ME3 they realized they liked the concept and gave us a new arena. Further, something like the prize you win from Pinnacle Station is handed to you just for having Citadel DLC installed in ME3.

John Shepard:
- Chatted with the crew: Ashley (reassured her that, yes, I was glad she was on board and, no, I didn't blame her for the beacon exploding), Chakwas (she told me about Alenko's crazy L2 implants), Kaidan (he wasn't feeling chatty), Anderson (he sent me to tell Joker to prepare to dock with the Citadel), Alliance Requisition Officer (selling stuff I should be getting as part of the job - but better stuff, so there's that), Engineer Adams (sad about Jenkins), Pressly (glad I'm okay), Joker (commended me on my timing). - Citadel: Udina blames me for the mission failure even though a full blown Spectre died - that is, someone proven to be highly successful failed. So, you know, suggests a seriously powerful enemy. - Elcor ambassador loves us, volus ambassador is envious of us. - Ashley is suspicious of the place while Kaidan finds it peaceful and "big". Also, Ashley implied aliens and animals were hard to tell apart, but she may have meant that in relation to the Keepers because they're so weird and no one knows anything about them. She also wonders if anyone ever drowned in the lake. Really weird chick. Pretty, but odd. - C-Sec agent Garrus Vakarian distrusts Saren but his racist boss is stopping his investigation. No surprise that a turian would lack concern over the destruction of a human colony. - The Council ignored evidence by a "traumatized dockworker" who named Saren directly to me. It's like Chellix said: the Council will protect their top agent, even if it means ignoring evidence against him. - History between Saren and Anderson is why Udina thought the Council dismissed evidence. It's for that reason that Udina put me in charge of the investigation to find useful information. I was still a Spectre candidate so I guess this would give me an opportunity to prove myself. - Decided to help a salarian named Chorbon investigate the Keepers. - Was attacked outside of Chora's Den. Inside, got a lap dance from an asari. Talked to Harkin and he pointed me to Garrus. "He's an ass," said Kaidan. - Met a fan and gave him my autograph. - Agreed to help Emily Wong investigate corruption on the Citadel. - At Dr. Michel's clinic, some thugs were attacking her. Garrus was there and we took them down together. He joined my team to help find a quarian with evidence against Saren - a quarian who was in the hands of a criminal named Fist.

Alexis Shepard
- Watched a thresher maul destroy a Reaper. Briefly wondered about the feasibility of transporting grown mauls to Earth. Unlikely. Tried to talk Mordin out of distributing the genophage. Reminded him that he's the one who convinced me that the genophage was the lesser of two evils. Had to shoot him. Desperately didn't want to but had no choice. Followed that up with lying to Wrex. Felt sick about it, but I had to. The Krogan are too dangerous. At least he doesn't seem to suspect. *Cue ominous music* - Returned to the ship to hear everyone talking about what a hero Mordin was. Went to my cabin and threw up. Tried to talk to Liara about how I was feeling, but she was busy. She's always busy. War and shadow broker stuff aside it would be nice if she could cut out a few minutes for us. - Traynor came up to my cabin for a game night and I guess I needed something because she went to use my uber impressive shower and one thing led to another. Twice. Hopefully I can talk to Liara before she finds out. *Cue ominous music again* -Not my own biggest fan right now.

Karen Shepard, Soldier, ME2 cont'd:
Rosetta Nebula: 2175 Aeia – Jacob: The Gift of Greatness
The Normandy arrived in the Rosetta Nebula to investigate the fate of the MSV Hugo Gernsback, a survey ship that Jacob's father served on. The ship had disappeared over a decade ago, but a distress beacon had recently been activated. Some unknown party had sent the information to Jacob, and he wanted to try and find out what happened.
A crash site was detected on the planet 2175 Aeia, in the Alpha Draconis system. The shuttle took Jacob and Shepard, accompanied by Tali, to the sight of the wreck. The planet appeared to be a tropical paradise, and for a second Shepard wondered if the crew had survived the crash and decided to stay. Further investigation revealed something much more sinister had happened, however.
Fragments of logs from the wreck, the VI from the distress beacon, and discussions with survivors indicated that the the Captain had been killed in the crash, and first officer Ronald Taylor – Jacob's dad – had taken over. The local food caused neural decay, and there were indications that Ronald and the other officers had abused and taken advantage of the crew – saving the untainted food rations for themselves and preying on the crew members who were in no state to fight back. Eventually, Taylor killed the other officers to rule unopposed. It was pretty disgusting, and Jacob could barely contain his anger at his father's abuse of power.
Recently, the male crew had turned violent, and they had to fight their way through men and mechs to try and get to Taylor. When they reached his compound, he attempted to rationalize his behaviour, but it didn't do him any good. Shepard called in the Alliance to help the survivors and arrest Taylor – he would spend the rest of his life in prison for what he did.
Back on the Normandy, Miranda revealed that she had been the one who passed on the information to Jacob. Apparently there was some sort of history between them, and Miranda felt it was important to Jacob. It seemed like she was trying to help, rather than just messing with Jacob, so Shepard couldn't really blame her too much. TIM wasn't feeling so forgiving, however, and Miranda was called into the principal's office for detention for violating data security protocols.
Jacob was grateful for Shepard's help, but wasn't going to let either his father's or Miranda's actions get to him. Shepard wasn't surprised, Jacob didn't seem like the type to dwell on stuff.
At the helm, Joker summed up the whole situation - “That stuff with Jacob's dad? It's BS right? Cause it seemed like BS to me.” Pretty much, yeah.

My Paragon Fem-Shep Sentinel completed the Feros campaign against the Geth, saving the colonists there from both the Geth -- and the ExoGeni corporation. She built up morality and Paragon points by helping the colonists get their infrastructure up and running, though she noticed that they didn't seem to be quite "right." After dislodging the Geth from ExoGeni's main building and uncovering their unethical experiments on the colonists, she then used knockout grenades to avoid killing the now violent colonists and was able to kill the Thorian, the huge plant-like being that lived under the colony, controlling the colonists' minds. Did I screw up my dialog choices or is it not possible to publicly expose ExoGeni and deal with them as Shep does with Cerberus? Also, before I decided to start the Feros Campaign, there was one other main mission listed. (I can't remember the name...) Does Ferros lock you out of other missions? Currently, my Fem-Shep has just returned to the Citadel only to have the Council dismiss her concerns about the Conduit and the Reapers and relieve her of command. (Yes, she has received word that Commander Anderson wants to see her at Flux. Insane plot twist coming! ) As to companions, my Paragon Fem-Shep has managed to stay on everyone's good side. (Charm points help!) Her prospective LI is Liara. (She developed a taste for blue women during the Assari consort assignment. Yes, I know the Assari are "mono-gendered" but...) Wrex actually seems to like her more after Virmire. Even Ashley has opened up to her. (She talked about her grandfather...) While wandering the Wards, my Fem-Shep ran into an "Earth First" candidate. Ashley actually jumped in and took the guy to task for the anti-alien racism of his supporters. (I've heard others criticize her as racist. Is this the result of my Shep's influence on Ashley? Or is Ashley's attitude more of guarded suspicion rather than racism?)

Alexis Shepard
Today was a good day, something I haven't been able to say lately. After Mordin's death and my, albeit necessary deception of the Krogans it's been hard to hold my head up. Add in the collapse of my relationship with Liara, as well as having to kill Councillor Udina and I'd be lying if I said I didn't doubt myself more and more lately. Somebody has to make these decisions though. As Mordin liked to say, somebody else might have gotten it wrong. And, when all of this is over, if the Krogan wanna put me in front of a firing squad I may just let them because at least it means we survived.
Today was good though. Tali, Liara, and I destroyed the Reaper base on her home world, even faced down a Reaper myself... Well, I mean with the help of Joker and the Quarian fleet. The best part is that I managed to stop them from meeting their demise at the hands of the Geth. Both have agreed to join the war effort. No deception this time. It feels good. Tali has decided to join us aboard the Normandy.
Legion, sadly did not survive. He died sacrificing himself so his people could achieve full intelligence. I remember how weary I was of him when we met him aboard the derelict Reaper, but he has more than earned my trust. Samantha seemed very concerned even I came back, but she also seems to finally have her head in the right place to fight this war.
I feel better now than I have in a while.

I know I'm in the middle of an Adept PT I. ME2 but I've got this hankering to do a new canon PT. I've previously had Soldier as my canon version but actually thinking of going Vanguard. Here's my decision. Do I do a gender swap and romance Kaidan clear through to ME3 or remain celibate until ME3 when we can be together. One would give me the romance right away but the other would avoid the glitches from FemShep only dialogue or being called a woman throughout ME1. The whole reason for this is a) I'm reading a great mShenko fanfic right now and I'm having a hard time roleplaying in MEA. The difficulty with the RP means my "What did you do today...?" posts for MEA are boring for me. Hence, I'm back to the trilogy. Thoughts and opinions? Shameless self-promotion, but I created a mod for ME1 that allows MaleShep to romance Kaidan (and FemShep to romance Ashley) without any of the issues that come with the old gender swap trick.

I played a lot of Nicole Shepard tonight, but no progress on the playthrough itself. I played a bunch of missions repeatedly to get some dialogue recorded. I played a couple of hours worth of game for about one minute's worth of dialogue. sometimes i really hate me

Maybe you could post the link there for anyone else who might be interested. There are plenty of LGBT people here who might be interested. (Probably some straight guys, too, who'd love to play FemShep and romance Ash.)

I didn't even have my games anymore so I bought the trilogy and will start playing it again. I got thousands of hours out of the whole series probably and I got a bit over a hundred out of MEA with no real desire to continue.

Laura Shepard, Colonist, Sole Survivor Liara was eager to fetch the Prothean artifact from Eden Prime, and Shepard was eager to prevent Cerberus from getting anything that they really wanted, so the Exodus Cluster was the Normandy's next destination. The squad was shocked to learn that the artifact was, in fact, a living prothean, still in cryostasis. Shepard explored the site with her squad, and experienced visions showing her the last days of the prothean civilization. Seeing firsthand what awaited them all if they failed made her more anxious to wake the prothean and learn everything he knew about fighting the reapers and building the crucible. Unfortunately, what they got was not one of the greatest prothean scientists of the time, as Liara thought they would, nor even a scientist just barely good enough to warrant continued life support. They got Javik. Despite poor first impressions, Shepard felt for the prothean as he looked around himself in shock, his entire civilization -- and everything he had ever known -- long gone. Shepard made overtures, but Javik wouldn't be Javik if he weren't extremely rude. Back on board the ship, Javik was held under guard in Grunt's former quarters. Shepard insisted that he was no danger to any of them, but the guards hesitated to leave. "It's nice that you've learned to hold a weapon, Recruit Smithers, but I can take it from here. Really. Scram." I like this mildly annoyed expression on Shepard's face. I don't remember what offensive thing Javik said to prompt this, but I'm sure it was hilarious. Still, Javik was far more forthcoming than Shepard expected him to be, given his opinions of the primitive beings running the galaxy. Liara was simultaneously fascinated and horrified by the reality of this species she had spent years idolizing. Time to return to Citadel to restock and -- though Shepard would not say so to him -- to give Javik some time to get acclimated before putting him anywhere near combat. Shepard was both nervous and relieved to learn that Ashley had woken up and was asking to see her -- and her old friend Thane had managed to get in touch -- so her first stop was to Huerta Memorial. Shepard ran into another old...not friend, exactly, but at least not an enemy. Miranda planned a clandestine meeting with her old science experiment Shepard to discuss not much in particular. Miranda, you're like that friend who posts sighs and angsty song lyrics on Facebook and then says, "I don't want to talk about it," when you ask what's wrong. When the crew disembarked the Normandy, Shepard had told them to enjoy their day of shore leave, since there were no guarantees that they would get leave again any time soon. Garrus's interpretation of this was to go down to the refugee camp and take charge. Good ol' Garrus. It's kind of cute that he keeps a Shepard VI there with him, though. "No. No, it's not cute. You have the real Shepard right here. Dammit, Garrus." With errands run and quests fetched, Shepard returned to her ship. As soon as she entered the CIC, though, Traynor stammered out a concern. She'd picked up on a distress signal from Grissom Academy. While the school had supposedly been rescued by a turian ship, the ship's signature actually appeared to be from Cerberus. Shepard congratulated Traynor on her catch and went to investigate. Sure enough, they arrived to find the academy blockaded. Joker was pretty sure he could distract the Cerberus ships so that Shepard could sneak in with a small crew. She figured it would be a good time to test out EDI's new body, as well. Anderson's special friend gave Shepard the run-down of the situation, and asked Shepard to deliver a message to him when she was able. Shepard, having not quite caught on to the theme here yet, was surprised to learn that her former team member Jack was the instructor protecting the remaining students. "Psychotic Biotic," indeed. I was amused to see this mech have to stoop to get through the doorway. Jack thanked Shepard for the rescue with a punch to the face. "As charming as ever," as Garrus says. "Bite me, Garrus. Better yet, bite her. Probably how she likes it." Shepard runs into a few more teenagers who look much, much older than she does. Just as the group makes their final escape, Rodriguez gets cornered by Cerberus troops. Shepard grabs her, and apparently breaks the girl's right arm in the process. I mean, look at it. The students try to whine their way to the front lines, but Shepard sensibly decides they would be better used in support roles. Jack thankfully accepts this decision without complaint. Anderson gets in touch back on the Normandy. He is happy to see Shepard, and even happier to hear that his friend is safe. EDI makes an attempt at humor. She...should probably practice a bit more (short video clip in spoiler). The crew recovered some reaper tech from a Cerberus lab. I died a few times during this short mission. It was pathetic. Apparently, Garrus has been talking about Shepard to Victus. All good things, of course. Lots of planet scanning and fetch quests later, and it was back to the Citadel. Ashley was almost ready to leave the hospital, and wanted to see Shepard again. I look forward to seeing how Ashley behaves during the Citadel siege, compared to Kaidan. On her way back to the CIC, Shepard tripped on these floormats that had been randomly strewn about the conference room and sprained her cybernetically-enhanced ankle. (Seriously, I can understand all the exposed cables and such on the ceiling, but how hard would it have been for someone to straighten these damn things? Stay classy, Alliance. ) Next time...probably meeting with politicians. That'll be a fun one.

Shep straightened Kaidan out at the Citadel. No flirting! *cough* She's your CO, mind. Chewed Garrus out for firing during the hostage situation. Decided not to pick up Wrex and went on to Cora's Den. Thanks for the alert, Enemies Everywhere! You dumb mob. After much blah blah, Shep got made Spectre and landed a cool warship. Off to adventure!

John Shepard:
- Recruited a krogan named Wrex. He wanted in on going after Fist, mostly because he was being paid to kill him by the Shadow Broker. After taking down Fist's guards, and scaring off some warehouse workers, I interrogated Fist. He told me where to find the quarian with the needed intel on Saren. Then Wrex shot him, something I more or less applauded. Kaidan was taken aback but I might have done the same had Wrex not beat me to it. - Saved the quarian from a turian and a few salarians. Her name was Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. We brought her evidence to Udina and then the Council. It implicated Saren and an asari named Matriarch Benezia. Then they made me the first human Spectre and tasked me with taking down Saren. - Since I needed my own ship and crew, but couldn't be directly answerable to the Alliance, Captain Anderson stepped down and handed the Normandy over to me. Despite Engineer Pressly and Ashley's difficulties with aliens, I still brought aboard my new allies: a turian, a krogan and a quarian. I had a good feeling about all of them. - Before I got too far I received a distress signal from Kate Bowman. The asteroid X57, in orbit near Terra Nova, had been taken over by batarians who were aiming it at the planet. I defeated the batarians but their leader, Balak, escaped. Could have stopped him too but decided saving hostages was more of what I wanted. Got some Colossus X armor for Tali because I knew quarian armor was hard to come by. - On Sharjila, took out a pirate base and found evidence linking its leader to an asari ambassador on the Citadel. Picked up Onyx X medium armor. Wish I'd found heavy armor but this will do for now.

I've actually forgotten about this but Garrus completely befuddled me when Shep landed on Trebin and found reaper husks and the dragon teeth. He said he had seen it before and alluded it to machine cultists. Wuuuuuut???? Come again? You've seen it before? Where? When??? Of course, there's no chance to ask him. And Shep never said; oh wait, those metal toothpicks are very familiar. Where have I seen those before? Kaidan; You know, that planet where we were nearly ashed. I still remember when I first played this. I took it all in stride. Cultists? Ok, yeah. People with mad ideas then. Well, they dead now. And completely forgot about it.

I just did that yesterday myself (or some planet like that). When I see Husks, I think Geth. Instead, they say Cerberus has been up to no good?

Shameless self-promotion, but I created a mod for ME1 that allows MaleShep to romance Kaidan (and FemShep to romance Ashley) without any of the issues that come with the old gender swap trick. Sweet. I'm going to download it right now. Totally fine with a fresh start even though I recently started a NG+. There's a subforum for modding and user creations. Maybe you could post the link there for anyone else who might be interested. There are plenty of LGBT people here who might be interested. 1. (Probably some straight guys, too, who'd love to play FemShep and romance Ash.)rondeeno I've been a bit mod-happy since first playing Dragon Age Origins. This is my first PT with ME 1 and figured I should see what the developers intended. For the next PT, I would like to update the game as much as possible. Any must-have mod recommendations in addition to this one for ME 1? Also, I haven't culminated the romance yet. Is a nudity mod needed to avoid an "underwear" scene? 1. I resemble that remark! Too much Lara Croft in my youth, I suppose...
