Miranda.
I was always torn between her and Ash, but Miranda is my "canon" romance of Mass Effect 2 and 3.

I have to go with Garrus. The relationship just develops so beautifully over the course of the trilogy and it feels so natural.
Tali is a close second though, and the only reason i've even played male shep, even though i never finished Mass Effect 3 with M.Shep.

Eh it's a tie between Jack and Tali. Both are great.

Liara is always my canon, and I'm a weirdo who basically repeats their canon every time. Given that FemShep is lacking in the lady-loving options department, I never really struggle with that though. However, I've always toyed with the idea of rolling a BroShep for Miranda - I'd love to try her romance, because I adore my lil' Aussie Ice-Queen-with-a-secret-heart. But, sadly, I just can't get into Mark Meer's acting - I personally think it's terrible. Maybe someday... I do have a "spare" playthrough save with the idea of romancing Thane, for the paramour achievement for ME2. Garrus is just too much my bro, and reminds me of my real-life BFF too much - I can never see him as a romantic option, even if I get over the male thing.

I think he's hysterical as a Renegade, provided you don't play him full-blown psychotic. He comes off as an impulsive but ultimately well-intentioned bro, and the Renegade lines in Miranda's ME2 romance are much more organic and less sappy. Miranda's the only romance I've played as ManShep, and Garrus as FemShep. And while I did enjoy Andromeda, I am seriously considering replaying the OT for Best Alien Space Husbando

And while I did enjoy Andromeda, I am seriously considering replaying the OT for Best Alien Space Husbando I've actually stopped Andromeda halfway through and am messing around with my OT saves to get set up on the XB1 for a new PT. I don't hate Andromeda, but it just doesn't grab me the way the OT does. That and I'm a little down at the moment, and ME and DA are my "comfort gaming". I've watched most of the game choices I didn't make on YouTube to see how they panned out, including a lot of BroShep vids, both blue and red. I still don't really enjoy them and think he falls flat, so honestly don't think I could get through a whole PT with Mark. Perhaps my long time love for Hale colours my judgement a bit, too. No disrespect to the BroShep fans. Not having Miranda as an option for FemShep is one of the saddest things in a BioWare game ever, for me. Bloody EA, ruining everything!

I just started a new ME3 playthrough with a previously unused import. Its Kaidan in ME1, and Garrus ME2. Never did an ME3 playthrough with drams, I am not sure how I will handle it yet. Maybe ditch them both for Steve? I don't know.
I am super curious about Allers, but the back-room deal with ign that created her is something I can't get past. Everytime I pass by her at the start of a new playthrough I tell her to take a hike.

I'm actually going to replay a Shep for the first time ever (I always make new characters in Bioware games). She was my first and romanced Garrus, but I only did 1 and 2 with her. It's been a couple of years, and I loved both her and Garrus so much that I'm going to replay from the beginning to get the entire story next time.
I also want to do a Miranda focused run and a Jack run someday as I think they might both be worth a full playthru.

"There is no Shepard without Vakarian" - I can't believe some people have playthroughs without recruiting Garrus. One of my most favorite quotes regardless of Garrus relationship status. That was the moment I knew my Shep was ready to kick ass in that final mission. Also have to add that shooting bottles on the top of the presidium is my favorite citadel dlc scene.

I voted for ME1 Kaidan. I actually played through that romance before, but my canon which I adhere to was modified to romance Liara before Garrus instead. I had a hard time roleplaying my renegade as liking her, so I figure the rest of the trilogy works better with a Liara-was-romanced-at-some-point background. I officially break up with her in ME2. And the Aria interactions are more fun with a bisexual, renegade femShep.
But yeah, Kaidan is great.

Liara's romance is kinda stretches throughout the trilogy it's hard to divide it.

Miranda, always and only.
Although, I'd be more amenable to more human female LI's. Miranda and my Shepard = OTP however.

If they remastered and I could romance Kaidan in ME1 without a mod, I'd change my answer.

I have been playing through my first trilogy alternate (ever) with manShep, and I ended up letting Ashley live. I enjoyed her character enough to want to have the full trilogy romance. I was originally planning on romancing Kaidan in the third game, but obviously can't do that now. I think I will go back and edit my canon to have femShep choose Kaidan during the Liara/Kaidan confrontation instead. Flirting with Liara throughout the first game should be enough excuse to have generated SOME feelings to explain away the later interactions with my ruthless Shepard.

Tali. My current Shepard is holding out for a reunion with Ashley, but I felt kind of bad turning down Tali (silly though that may sound).

I'd certainly romance Ash again. Love that girl.
Might do a femshep with Garrus at some point.
