Yeah, I'll pass this round. I think you should consider taking a turn before my next post (which is supposed to be now), everything is solved (Skyle vaguely agreed to cooperate, or at least not shoot anyone) everyone is present, and we are ready to move to the next location. So unless someone has an objection, you should probably move the plot in that direction. I'll see what I could do. My exams ended on Friday so I have a perfectly free weekend for R&R. And RP.

I got something, but before I actually put it to pen, I want to ask GeneralXIV - what would be Skyla's response to a non-confrontational, fairly relaxed and simple question of her name? And please, keep in mind that there has to be SOME answer, since none of the characters know her name, and they have to refer to her somehow. Literally anything. Callsign or nickname might be a better term than name, for the purpose of the question. Alternatively, if you want to handle it yourself, I can just leave the question being asked as the last thing of my post. P.S.: I've also edited the OP and the thread name now includes Ben Walker. P.P.S.: Maybe another "Who's doing what, where and when" here in the Discussion would also be good, since I'm not entirely sure what the timing is, especially on Ben's arrival. I'm also not sure where on the timeline is the last turn worth of posts compared to Sar having her Lancer gently lowered.

Far as I know, Xesthan mentioned one and only operative at the FOB where the comms are. With another somewhere in the general area. This brings an idea of wiping out one, and the other coming in soon. Which is where Skyla could pretend, if she's capable. Long enough for the final agent to get stabbed in the kidney or whatever. There's four Cerbies in the AO. One was way to theatrical with Zahn. Number two lost her head to Skyla. Number three is the Comm Officer at the FOB. Four is whoever is unfortunate enough to cross the merry band of misfits and be a Cerberus operative at the same time.
Preference is ala XCOM2, see if you can capture, if it's too much cheeki breeki, well... We have two snipers. One of whom is also capable of sneaking up and operating the bugger's kidney out with an Omni-Blade.
I'd say it won't be very far. Even my exact place predictions bring the entire area to a dozen blocks wide at the most.
I mostly just wing it, see what's going on. I have a clue where to take the plot afterwards, but it's just a very basic sketch, really. You know the saying about no plan surviving first contact with the enemy. Also, after a bit of thought, I realized you were right about Thanix missiles, so the big thing after comms reestablishment will have to be something more... realistic. Like a large mechanized infantry element two companies in strength. Not responding. Relatively large unit, large enough to warrant HQ sending someone over to see how bad it is, exactly.

Think we could? Nothing's set in stone. But the missiles are dodgy in the lore, as you mentioned, and Cerberus is supposed to be falling apart.
Don't really think we need a big bad destroy-the-world grade threat. Unless everyone wants a more combat oriented RP. I was wondering how well we could do without pushing violence, because I can't, for the love of God, find any group dumb enough to want to do anything. Unless, of course, we have what'shisnameagain the Krogan being all "Duuuude, fuck Wrex!"
...damn, I'm getting in the flow. Time to go to sleep approacheth.

The mechanized guys kind of met a Reaper. Nobody can be sure until someone confirms that yup, they're toast, though.

I know I promised stuff, but I'm not sure myself. There's an idea about revenge (and taking power, because righteous ruler and whatnot) for Wrex "leaving" Wreav.
There's definitely an idea that Wreav shouldn't be instantly seen, because we know what six discount Shepards will be able to do to him. Instead, I vote we encounter a Krogan unit that is allied with him, learn from them, and then try to track Wreav down.
I'll also go in a deeper explanation of the breach, so it'd be nice if y'all told me in what order we're breaching. It seems most sensible that Kato will go first, and Caelus second. I'm calling three for Sar. Four through six are to be determined. I'll try to wizard up a schematic of how I imagine that breach going (with my not-entirely-expert knowledge of CQB) and see if we agree on that.
Also, is there anyone taking charge of the squad? If so, Sar, Cael and Ben make the most sense, being career military, one an SF, another a seasoned Marine, and the third an N7. I'll take a bit of a liberty and just insert the stuff I was taught to do in real life (again, just civilian with an interest, not an expert). If one character or another does something that doesn't work with what Sar does, we'll chalk it up to that being what Sar was taught, and the others having different or no training in that (Up to your decision, of course).

As far as I know, the difference is that SWAT teams, unlike the military, can drag around heavy situational kit like a riot shield. Military-grade riot shields would also have to be at least Class IV (rated up to 7.62mm NATO armor piercing) which is too heavy to carry, and those shields actually tend to have wheels. Instead, the military goes in knowing that taking anyone alive is optional, so instead, they can have flashbangs, and if those aren't available, a pair of good ol' M67 frag grenades usually does the job well enough.
If you've ever played Medal of Honor: Warfighter, there is a good breach scene witnessed from the inside of the room. However, typical game (CoD, and even MoH when in gameplay) breaches are wrong, as the player character always stops in the doorway, which is againist one of the basic rules of CQB.
The order of people I have "dictated" pretty much comes from the fact that Kato goes first with the barrier (which does easily double as the riot shield, and yes, the first man through is the most likely to get shot) and by the time he's done with the Guardian, Cael is already smashing the other guy's skull in. Thus they should probably go as the first two, and then it's calling dibs, really.
If you want, you can edit the post, write in the arc-banger. Do mind the short fuse (inspired by the M84 Flashbang, which has a one to two second fuse once the pin is pulled). While an EMP grenade from ME3MP is more familiar, I always used it as more of a flashbang with an EMP added in to overload shields.
The one thing we probably have to do is keep Cael, Sar and Skyla from finishing off the surviving agent. There's intel to be milked, and these three seem to have a knee-jerk to Cerberus for one reason or another.

If Flashbangs are a thing then Skylas drones could come in useful, especially when breaching because she could fire one and get a good view from inside the room so they know where everyone is???

Sar's recce drone can do the same. Sans the blow a flash in their face, of course. She has Arc-bangers for that kind of fun.

The way I pictured it was a bit different, but I have a D&D session now so I won't have the time to make my sketch. I'll do that when I have the chance. In the future, it might be a good idea to create these sketches before we start the fight, so there's no confusion.
