I can't over Nyasha's performance in this new romance. It's like he was always Jaal and never had to get back into the role. Jaal never seemed out of character with Scott. Still sweet, romantic, bold, playful and sexual. He's got to be one of my fav gaming voice actors now! I've seen actors come back to a role and they seem to have lost the rhythm even if it's a short break, but not him. Out of curiosity, would you say it is more sexual, less sexual, or as sexual as with Sarah? Ignoring the sex scene of course. Jaal is more aggressive with Scott, a bit bolder and more physical, so it's more sexual. Sara's is more gentle and tender with soft touches. |

I think I brought up the twirling when I talked about how I was wondering how they'd handle Jaal and Scott. Jaal with Sarah is more feminine, making it feel like it was made for the ladies. Jaal with Scott is made for guys in mind. I could see why some people doesn't like Jaal with Sarah due to her interaction toward Sarah. Interaction of Jaal and Scott are more masculine and forceful. Hugging, pushing, and submerging under the water while kissing with Scott as opposed to twirling. Jaal treats Scott and Sarah very differently. Scott is also the one who took more initiative during the lake scene while Sarah was more like being shown a surprise by the guy she loves like a candle dinner date. Jaal scene with Scott is romantic in a very different way from Sarah. For Sarah, there is a sense of prince charming while with Scott, it's more the feeling of two comrades falling in love. This is what I wanted. In ME3, they cut out scenes like Shepard straddling Kaidan because it makes Shepard look feminine. For Jaal, they have different scenes instead which convey a different feeling. I know some people would find it sexist like "Scott can't be twirl?" or "Scott can't giggle?", but those scenes were made specifically for females, with females in mind. They envision how Jaal would treat Sarah in that situation. It's not that Scott couldn't do those actions, but it's that Scott would simply be a stand-in for Sarah, basically a modified bisexual made with females in mind just like Kaidan or Reyes. Just like it could just be a tongue in cheek when Scott is referred to as Reyes' "queen", but it fits more in the context of Sarah, it was made with Sarah in mind. Scott was basically modified to be able to romance a straight character, a playsexual situation, not a bisexual character who see Scott and Sarah as 2 different people. This is so perfect and so true! You are good at this lol we didn't mean to get overly protective of Jaal, it's just a woman knows when something is for a woman. Those scenes with him and Scott would not be something most women would like if they wanted as you said a prince charming romance. |

Nice new romance content for Jaal/Scott! They did a good job making it feel just different enough to the Jaal/Sara content. I love how they dove underwater at the lake, very cute. And honestly I don't care for the twirling in the finale in the Sara/Jaal romance... I'd rather they change it to be like Scott's in that regard, LOL. (Twirling at the lake is lovely, though).
I loaded up the game to check out the "facial reconstruction" thing, but unfortunately now my game is really running like crap. :/ Now we need another patch to fix whatever this patch messed up performance-wise, haha.

His sister trained him well in the art of eyeliner. Perhaps too well. He has surpassed her. For the best too since Jaal seems to have a thing for intense lookin eyes. >:) Reel in the angara good. |

Personally, I really want a more evil gay/bi romance, but I'm not sure Bioware would do that since Solas specifically was made straight because they want to avoid the "depraved bisexual" option with him, so there's a mind set of making gay characters "good". What I wouldn't give for an gay evil Tevinter mage romance who is not about reform like Dorian but more selfish and self-motivated like Morrigan. |
