Thank the goddess they were given the time & resources to do the Jaal patch, at least. They must have fought for that behind the scenes, and I'm really glad they did. It gives a hint of what could have been had things not been such a clusterf*** during development.
Even though I'd mostly given up on getting a DLC, I still had a little hope they'd come through with one. That hope getting killed stings.

I was seriously thinking of ordering the MEA artbook with an Amazon giftcard I got for my birthday, but after today's news it's safe to say I will be spending it on something else. |

Even if EA and companies like them go MMO, does not men Indie companies of gamers who like REAL RPGs won't be starting their companies to make their games. I checked out Greedfall because it was mentioned on this thread, and I'm carefully excited about it's release next year.

Soon every game ever will be a microtransaction filled multiplayer experience that lasts about 10 seconds until they release the sequel which is basically identical. FUN. HAhahaa oh my god I nearly spat my water. Where is the lie. inb4 MEA2 is just a Mass Effect cellphone gacha tapper game. |

I checked out Greedfall because it was mentioned on this thread, and I'm carefully excited about it's release next year. yeah I'm sadly thinking we may have to wait till these smaller companies can get a good foot hold with their desires to make the kind of games we all want. Technomancer was not great, but it was a good game. I have a feeling that spiders has potential. It's just a wait and see moment in gaming history. I'm gonna say that BioWare won't be the hero we need for much longer sadly. |
