Leliana is the one true Divine. I worship at her fashionable shoed feet. Softened Leliana is the best divine by a mile. I did keep one playthough where I intentionally didn't soften her character, but i made sure to make Cassandra Divine, cause hardened Leliana freaks me out. I got hardened Leli on my first run, cause I had no idea that was even a thing. I agreed with her that she should kill the traitor, I had no idea that was all that was required for her to go crazy pants. I was like "What have I done?"

I go with the softer Leliana, but I still like hardened Leliana more than any other candidate, tbh. lol

Her goals are essentially the same, but she assassinates anyone who tries to rally political support against her. If i remember correctly she becomes known as the bloody divine? something like that.

Casandra's not that special though...but I really liked viv's

I think Liam might also be at a further disadvantage with the overall writing. Like you said, he pulled a gun on Peebee, but if he's not in that scene, it's Cora that pulls the gun. Someone is going to pull the gun there and because Liam has the higher priority over Cora in that scene, it usually falls to him. I ran Liam through the salarian mission with all the companions and I noticed that based on how the game prioritizes them, one person will do the "complaining" while the other does the "reacting." For some reason, Liam has higher priority than everyone except Cora in the "complaining." If Cora is in the group with him, she is the complainer, saying the exact same things he says. Liam was very consistent on my first game because I only brought him out on missions. I didn't drive around in the Nomad with him and didn't understand the complaints about his banter until my second game. There's a big disconnect between Tempest Liam and Nomad Liam. I have no idea what happened there. This follower prioritizing is common. DAI plays out that way as well. I've noticed that if I bring both Dorian and Solas along on certain quests, Solas will take priority over Dorian if there are magey things. I can't have that, so off Solas goes. (I don't know what happens with Vivienne, as I've never brought her anywhere regularly.) I remember in the end of ME1, one person would be in favor of saving the council and the other wouldn't. However, it wasn't consistent. I recall Kaidan filling both speaking roles at different times and me joking, "Way to take a stand, Kaidan." With this in mind, I was curious if history would repeat itself in MEA when it came to making the "deal" with the Primus. It was much more consistent this time. Cora, Peebee, and Vetra will be in favor of it. Jaal, Drack, and Liam will be against it. I paired up Drack and Liam to see if one of them would switch, but Drack simply got speaking priority and Liam said nothing. (Jaal will also take priority over Liam, too, which makes perfect sense in this context.)

What does hardened Leliana even do? The same but stabby instead of talky. Sounds fine, to be honest. All the past divines were already like that, except they were scumbags with scumbag opinions. I would've preferred an option to leave the Chantry in leaderless chaos, ripe for overthrow, but I am learning that life is all about compromise.

You all have a very good taste for the Divine. This art is amazing! I always end up with softened Leliana without actually trying, just from the RP choices I make. I don't even have the WT quest to endorse anyone by the method I take. I did get Cassandra on one occasion, but I had to game it in that case, and she was divine for my one play of Trespasser. It's not my canon, but I have yet to replay the game since playing Trespasser.

What else will I come to learn, "in time"? Well if I tell you NOW, then it won't be IN TIME, will it? Of course it will. By the time you finish telling me it will be whatever time it took to tell me later.
