Hey all. Now that a bunch of information has dropped, I feel totally comfortable sharing this information with you all. I've shared it privately with some people on the forum already, so it's not new to some of you. As some of you know, I have a very good friend who works in the industry . She always get to see some game footage in advance and she knows what a fan I am of Bioware games, so she always tries to remember some details about companions and romances when she can. A few weeks ago, she got to see some ME: A footage and she reached out to me to share.
When DA: I came out, I did this same thing, where I shared with a few people in a private message and everything that she shared (including the including of "with great respect" line and the inclusion of real nudity) were accurate, so I'm totally confident that what she shared with me is accurate again. I only asked her about romance/sex information for now, but I can probably get more information later. Many of you might remember this from back then.
So here's what she saw for romances:
She saw three different scenes. There was a male/female scene, a female/female scene, and a male/male scene. Default Scott/Sara were used in all of the scenes. There were two LI's shown.
The male-female scene and the female/female scene both were with Pee Bee. She first described her as a "sexy blue alien lady" but then I showed her a picture of Pee Bee and she said that it was definitely her because she recognized the distinctive black eye stripe. In these scenes, there was nudity (breasts and butt for both Pee Bee and Sara and butt only with Scott).
The male-male scene was with a human male. She described him as "brownish, but not black -- maybe latino or arabic -- face scruff, a high and tight haircut, and an average body". There was no nudity in this scene. There's romance dialogue, a fade-to-black, and then they wake up in bed shirtless together (so kind of like the Kaidan scenes in ME3, I'd guess). I described Liam to her (british accent, black guy, "cool hair") and she said it was definitely not him. Not sure who this guy is, but I feel pretty sure that he's not Liam. I've been speculating that it might be Reyes?
So, combined with this new information, I think it's safe to say that this is what we know: Scott - Cora, Pee Bee, Reyes?
Sara - Pee Bee
And we know that Jaal is available to at least one sibling.
If I had to fill in the holes, I'd say this:
Scott - Cora, Pee Bee, Jaal, Reyes

Sara - Pee Bee, Jaal, Liam (most likely), a lesbian (Vetra maybe?) That's what I was thinking too! I'm a little (prematurely of course) disappointed because Reyes seems pretty amazing and there's a lot of guys who seem to want to romance Liam with Scott
but if I can romance Jaal I'll probably be too distracted to notice that there are even other ro's. I won't even have to sigh longingly. But I don't want to jump to too many conclusions until we get confirmation. Here's to hoping everyone has at least one character they love! |

Is possible actually that Liam and Jaal are both bi, no? After all, they said there's lots of LIs, maybe everyone gets 2 among the squadmates and then one more among the crew and other planets |

Isn't that just about one romance scene with one LI for m/m and f/f though. There might be tons of nudity with other LIs or with same LI, but different scenes. I'd be okay with that, provided we have an equal distribution of big romances or at least the story relevant characters being bisexual/available to everyone. |

Yeah, I can only really discuss the three scenes that I know about. I have no idea what happens outside of those. There is the very real possibility that the other romances don't play out exactly like these. So you can hold out hope for a nude guy in another m/m scene!

Actually it's not really the nudity I'm concerned of, but that it could possibly be an indication that more time was invested in heteroromances than in homosexual ones. But I'll wait and see. Maybe it depends on the characters and not on the sexuality.

When DA: I came out, I did this same thing, where I shared with a few people in a private message and everything that she shared (including the including of "with great respect" line and the inclusion of real nudity) were accurate, so I'm totally confident that what she shared with me is accurate again. I only asked her about romance/sex information for now, but I can probably get more information later. Many of you might remember this from back then.
So here's what she saw for romances:
She saw three different scenes. There was a male/female scene, a female/female scene, and a male/male scene. Default Scott/Sara were used in all of the scenes. There were two LI's shown.
The male-female scene and the female/female scene both were with Pee Bee. She first described her as a "sexy blue alien lady" but then I showed her a picture of Pee Bee and she said that it was definitely her because she recognized the distinctive black eye stripe. In these scenes, there was nudity (breasts and butt for both Pee Bee and Sara and butt only with Scott).
The male-male scene was with a human male. She described him as "brownish, but not black -- maybe latino or arabic -- face scruff, a high and tight haircut, and an average body". There was no nudity in this scene. There's romance dialogue, a fade-to-black, and then they wake up in bed shirtless together (so kind of like the Kaidan scenes in ME3, I'd guess). I described Liam to her (british accent, black guy, "cool hair") and she said it was definitely not him. Not sure who this guy is, but I feel pretty sure that he's not Liam. I've been speculating that it might be Reyes?
So, combined with this new information, I think it's safe to say that this is what we know: Scott - Cora, Pee Bee, Reyes?
Sara - Pee Bee
And we know that Jaal is available to at least one sibling.
If I had to fill in the holes, I'd say this:
Scott - Cora, Pee Bee, Jaal, Reyes
Sara - Pee Bee, Jaal, Liam (most likely), a lesbian (Vetra maybe?) Woahhh, that makes me very happy! Thanks for sharing! I mean, I don't mind there being nudity or not, but a little confirmaton Peebee is an actual romance option, and for both Ryders at that, is pretty cool  |

Actually it's not really the nudity I'm concerned of, but that it could possibly be an indication that more time was invested in heteroromances than in homosexual ones. But I'll wait and see. Maybe it depends on the characters and not on the sexuality. If I'm being honest, I suspect that the m/f and f/f scenes will be comparable and, as I had feared, the m/m scenes will be afterthoughts. I know it sounds pessimistic but the ME team burned me three times before so I don't know why I thought differently this time. I was hoping that the new leadership on the team might do it differently, but I have a feeling that it won't be the case. I'm bracing for shorter and less graphic content in the m/m scenes. |

Whoa, hold your horses people. Those are only two romances out of a whole bunch, we've already gotten confirmation that some LI will have more graphic scenes than others, and if there are multiple sex scenes per romance ala DAI than the one that was seen may not even be the "main" one for that romance. I am sure we will see some man on man action at some point.

Yeah if this m/m rumour scene is describing Reyes ... it might be like how in DAI the Josie romance is very different from the Sera one. The Sera romance is the one with nudity... so maybe there's another m/m option with a better scene. Edit: Sorry. Fixed. Please do not ban me. |

The only one who really discusses sex with Anders is Isabella, and you can tell her to flunk off. Anyway, bring it back on topic, I think this is a case of the "how old is the leaked info?" If it's older, the scene might not have been finished. I mean, they keep talking about nakedness in their twitter discussions, so, obviously they aren't done with all the sex scenes yet. Not to say that you guys shouldn't be worried, however: m/m and f/f content has definitely been less in the past, especially in regards to Mass Effect titles. |
