On a sad note, Milogost Reczek has passed away. He did the Polish voice for Vesemir and Vik from Cyberpunk 2077. Rest in Peace.

So I didn't know where to post this, I guess this is the best spot. I recently discover the Wizards and Warriors YouTube channel, this channel retells major conflicts from fantasy fiction in the same style as history channels like Epic History TV, HistoryMarche, etc.
Warning. This video is heavy on book spoilers. Though it doesn't spoil any of the meat of the story.
^The 2nd Nilfgaardian War very much had a stripped from the pages of history feel that I miss in the Netflix show.

This video is heavy on book spoilers. Though it doesn't spoil any of the meat of the story.^The 2nd Nilfgaardian War very much had a stripped from the pages of history feel that I miss in the Netflix show. I just finished TW1 again after suffering from ancient-isometric-RPG-with-terrible-graphics-and-slow-ass-pace-player's block partway through Chapter 4 for like six months and started the second game, and have been looking around for something thematically relevant to have running in the background while I'm playing on the xbox, and here you are like an angel sent from Heaven with pretty much what's been missing from my life for all past Witcher playthroughs. And a criticism of the Netflix show to boot. I haven't looked at your other posts on the other Witcher topics yet, but unless you say something outrageously dumb I'm throwing them a like too as soon as I'm done here. I'm also playing the series with Polish sound, and will be sure to properly appreciate Vesemir's voice when I get to Wild Hunt. Though I always enjoy it regardless, since it's a beautiful language and he's an awesome character. And even without understanding a word the curmudgeonous-and-weary-but-ultimately-caring-badass-grandpa acting totally comes through. More specific to TW3, I'm trying to go for a Geralt who's semi-balanced between Signs and Alchemy leaning toward Signs, with only the bare bones in Combat, focusing on strong attacks and relying on the default dodge to avoid damage(which is half the fun in the game's combat to me). Anyone have any fun experience with using Signs strategically in Wild Hunt outside spamming Igni to melt armor and burn shields away and exploiting Quen for healing? Because I sure don't. ^^'

So I've been reading some old commentaries/walkthroughs on the different possible TW3 endings recently, and many of them seem to categorize the one where Ciri dies and Geralt is possibly about to be swarmed by monsters as (understandably) the "Bad Ending," the one where Ciri leaves to become Empress of Nilfgaard as the "Bittersweet Ending," and the one where the North wins the war and Ciri becomes a witcher as the "Good Ending."
Both of my TW3 playthroughs were without much knowledge of the books and before the Netflix series, but at the time I actually thought the "bittersweet" ending might be the best, at least for the ordinary civilians of the Continent. I know there's some allusion in the epilogue slides to Emhyr killing a bunch of people either when conquering the North or after he's won, but OTOH, Radovid is not exactly the epitome of a kind-hearted or even sane ruler. So it seems like there would be a lot of blood spilled either way. The events of TW1 and TW2 show that the North is perfectly capable of wars and pogroms on its own without a Nilfgaardian invasion and that Radovid in particular can be a vicious bastard. Redania and some of the Northern nations lose their independence if Nilfgaard wins, but Ciri would probably be a more benevolent and moderate ruler than what they had previously. I don't see her embarking on purges of defeated enemies, and I certainly don't think she'd persecute non-humans or magic-users. So even though it's hard on Geralt and Ciri to part ways, I actually didn't have too many qualms about choosing this ending the first time I played the game.
(There's the alternative of Djikstra, I know, but I'm not sure I trust him to rule benevolently either, and IIRC the game kind of steers you away from him by requiring you to let Roche and Ves die for him to take power.)
On the other hand, now that I've seen the first two seasons of the Netflix series, I'm wondering if I might have been wrong about this, seeing how brutally Nilfgaard treated the people of Cintra. If we're to assume that there were similar bloodbaths in a lot of the Northern cities, and that both Radovid and Djikstra would have stopped at driving the Nilfgaardians out rather than invading the south, maybe the body count would in fact be lower if the North wins?
(And I guess it's typical for the Witcherverse that Geralt is often stuck choosing between a series of bad options.)

Personally, I find the Empress ending to be heresy. LOL. I think the Witcher ending is considered the good ending because that is what Ciri wants, and it more or less matches the book series ending, and the Empress ending is seen as the bittersweet ending because its not what Ciri wants per se, but she is making the sacrifice for the potential greater good. Though the epilogue content for the Empress ending is really well done in my opinion.

Personally, I'd argue that someone choosing to man up and make the sacrifices they feel they ought to and taking up the responsibilities they find meaningful is a truer and better expression of who they really are than if they just go with whatever they want to do. As long as it's a choice she makes, and not someone twisting her arm or manipulating her, I respect it, and like the Empress ending because it makes me proud of her for taking on that burden. And frankly, after a full book series, three games and two Netflix seasons, I feel pretty confident saying that the Witcher lifestyle looks absolutely miserable and lonely and thankless, and if I was Geralt I certainly wouldn't want it for my baby girl. And I sure as hell wouldn't try to limit her options to railroad her into it just because it seemed like something she thought she'd enjoy. To me, the 'Witcher' ending is bittersweet too, with her enthusiastically choosing to live as glorified pest disposal for ungrateful bitch peasants who'll short-change and insult and ogle her at every turn, just because it's what daddy does too. Have been planning on going for the Empress ending this time around, but next playthrough, if there is one, I might give the "bad" ending a try. It does feel a bit cheap for Ciri to just go and fix the icy apocalypse and be back unscathed within a few months. And proper tragedy is so rare in RPGs that you just gotta appreciate it when it's available. That epilogue is definitely the most powerful and engaging of the three, from what I've seen.

It seems its Triss' turn now.
Instead of jumping into bed with Geralt she should have stopped for moment and said, "you know what, your daughter and your abusive wife are probably out there somewhere and need your help, so you may wish to find them or something." LOL.

I re-watched the previous ones, each roast seems to be more vicious than the last. Poor Triss even had fan theories thrown in. I think its time for a Geralt one next. Haha.
I think my favourite part was when he pointed out that Unicorns are actually sentient beings. Not that having sex on a stuffed Unicorn wasn't already weird as ****. Haha.
The walking like a Witcher bit is great. Ciri got off easy though, he didn't mention the Catriona.

Apparently TW3 is going to get some free DLC's inspired by the Netflix show. The DLC's will be available for both the OG and Next Gen versions. Ballsack armor for everyone! We only had to wait a year and half, but Ballsack armor will in fact be for everyone. LOL.

Blast Processor I just saw those videos you posted about how terrible Triss and Yennefer are. In my first and only playthrough I chose Yennefer in the end because one, Shani was not an option and two, Yennefer wanted to get away from the politics which is what Geralt wanted since the Witcher 1. But like I mentioned before I'm a Shani man and I wish she was an option.

I bought my digital copy through GOG it was the only Witcher game I paid for. I got the first two for free during free GOG giveaways. I would love to have a physical copy of the PC version of this gem.

Talking about physical copies of PC games. Anyone here remember the big boxes the PC games used to come in, and the thick instruction manuals? I was young then to appreciate them. If I was my current age back then I'd collect the boxes and manuals.

Those videos are meant to be April Fools jokes but that gimmick really only works once. So they've basically become a roast video instead. I'm hoping for a Geralt one in 2023, he ain't so hot either. LOL.
