There still hasn't been any claims that this is the last Mass Effect from anyone whose sources can't be traced back to Kotaku.

Yeah, I've still got BioWare on my shitlist after all of this, but I doubt so much that this is anything other than the expected shrinkage after a game release - they don't need all hands on deck to complete the game, so they can shift resources around to other projects. And any possible "hiatus" is no different than what Dragon Age is going through, considering we're likely to not see DA4 (which hasn't even gotten announced, or given a proper name) until at least 2019, meaning it will have been around five years or more by the time that comes out. Any follow up game for Mass Effect is likely to follow that same trajectory.

I'm honestly trying not to get my hopes up for the patch - burned too much to really consider it worthwhile to hope for the best. Like, my expectations are cutscene improvements, possibly an expansion of the romance cutscene with Gil, maybe one with Reyes as well, and maybe a scattering of new emails from Gil. I would LOVE for Gil's VA to have been brought in (since we know Cora's has been, I grant it's possible, but... again, not getting my hopes up) and they fix his story, or at least give him some new non-Jill related conversations, maybe fix up at least the last one, with the baby talk. But I can't bring myself to pin any hopes on that idea, not after... well, everything.
