MAking it very similar to what the Grey Wardens were doing with their mages in DAI. I thought that was kept hush hush if the GW weren't exiled, but the game doesn't confirm one way or another on that matter.

Ok, looks like we'll be in Orlais. Anyone know of any good town we could use that has a chantry? And is maybe close to one of the circles/colleges? Seems like one of the new colleges would be a fantastic place to kidnap or recruit mages who are anxious about being free.

Leliana's agent could be...let's call her, Sister Nenet? She knows about the mage disappearances and wants them investigated, but was unaware of travelers disappearing from the countryside as well.

No, I don't think so, so let's go with Velun. Then we can safely make it up as we go and will probably only need to reference Montsimmard, or maybe just visit the circle tower itself at some point.



I'll go find pictures of some cute medieval French towns to set the stage, and get an outline of the story posted so we know where we are going. Then, we should be ready to start.

Please give me a brief description of how your character will join this quest so that I can determine a posting order. Will your character be one of the first to approach the sister about a missing loved one? Will they be tracking a victim or culprit for some other reason and then join in? Will they see a posting on the chantry board? Something else? Some of you also need to link the character you will be using

Cool, but how does she meet up with the other characters? Do I need to have our NPC post a notice on the chantry board looking for people to investigate the disappearances? Or are you saying your character is a victim of attempted kidnapping? If so, I think we are having them get kidnapped from the Lake Celestine area, not taken to there

Our setting for at least the beginning of the story is Velun, Orlais, a town on Lake Celestine. Right across the lake is the city of Montsimmard, which houses the Orlesian Grey Wardens and a circle of magi (photos are of Yvoire, France, a medieval town on Lake Geneva with a population of 925...which I figure is a decent size for us to work with)
