My list would be something like this. 1. Skyrim 2. Tomb Raider reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider 3. Uncharted 4 4. The Witcher 3 And there is a new game in town and i'm not sure where i will put this one because i did not finish this game yet. But it's definitely in my top three i think and it's called Horizon Zero Dawn This is at least the most beautiful looking game i have ever played.

Well, Fallout 3 is still sort of my sentimental favorite. I won't argue that it doesn't have problems, and it helps to play with mods that require you to eat/drink/sleep and limit the amount of respawning. But it was the first modern-era game that I really got into.
The Witcher 3 may be the best-designed game I've ever played, though maybe a little too long for its own good - I'm on my second playthrough of it right now and frankly it will probably be my last, because I just don't have the time. And there are times when I'd prefer to have a little more control over Geralt's personality.
SOMA may have the most compelling - and disturbing - ideas I've ever seen explored in a game, and I definitely enjoyed playing it as a mix of exploration and survival horror.

The trilogy is still the best thing that ever happened to me. *sentimental tears* Other games of the past 5-10 years: Witcher 3 . . . Everything else. OK, I'll list some in no particular order: Skyrim (modded) Fallout New Vegas (modded) Dragon Age series (DA2 has the most replay value to me, Hawke rocks!) Witcher 2 Child of Light Tales from the Borderlands Walking Dead Ori And The Blind Forest Bioshock Infinite Tomb Raider Anno 1404 / 2070 Contrast Enslaved Assassin's Creed 2 (Brotherhood was good too) Rayman Origins Lost Odyssey Alan Wake Favorite games of my childhood/teens: Yoshi's Island (still consider it one of the best games ever made) Ocarina of Time Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10,12 Tekken 2,3, Tag Tournament

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. Even though I'm terrible at fighting games. Everyone is terrible at first. When I first started playing Third Strike i wanted to use the east Indian boxer Dudley but i had no idea how. So i simply kept playing the game with him and i got better little by little. No help from others, no tips or tricks from websites or gaming articles, just me, the game, and plenty of free time. Completely self taught. People have told me that im tournament level but I've seen what those guys can do and i disagree. Im good though. You can be too. All you have to do is play a lot. It's just that simple.

Well, making it outside Bioware, does make the list shorter. Let's see: Recent years, the one game that has been really big in my head, and dominated anxiety, dread, adventure, triumph, frustration and satisfaction, is ' Kerbal Space Program', or KSP for short. It has provided me with my own virtual career as some von Braun. My background as RPG player has likely influenced how I experience this game, because I love my little Kerbal astronauts and you bet I have busted my ass keeping them safe and sound. But busting my ass to really perfect my act is part of the fun. I'm often like that. I'm not having fun unless I take it really seriously. Looking farther back, ' Morrowind' was another big thing with me. Of course I liked Fallout 3 and Skyrim too, but I haven't spent quite as much time and they never grew as big in my head. I'd love to see Morrowind be fully rebooted to modern standards. (but please don't "improve" or "modernize" the ruleset, and for gawd's sake - no voice acted PC!) More,.. Hmm, 'Vampire, The Masquerade: Bloodlines' - Of course! Oh, the atmospheres, the feeling. I'm stunned and very disappointed that this game didn't influence game design more. But I suppose the disastrous sales had something to do with it. But time and word of mouth has made it a big game. I played it when it was new, with all the bugs. I didn't mind. I saved often, and particularly when a new patch was released. I always managed to find one recent save that was possible to load after patching. I never had start over. It's hard for me to put up a shooter here, because I play shooters for such a short time, by comparison. But I'll still hold up one: the original 'Far Cry'. The thing I got such a blast from was the complete tactical freedom. Something that allowed me to play a shooter the way I thought it should be played. But there's been other great shooters, original Half Life, original Max Payne. And I loved the two first 'Tomb Raider' games, of course. Wew, that came from a long time ago. I think I'll stick to those for now. There are plenty more (like a few Sid Meier games) but it would dilute the list, I feel.

I end up following studios or directors. My favorites are: Bioware - That goes without saying; Bethesda - Elder Scrolls and Fallout; From Software - Souls games, Armored Core and Tenchu; Obsidian, InExile, Latrian and Harebrained Schemes - Always have my attention; Square Enix - Lots of their famous jRPGs, but mainly Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest; Atlus - But only the Shin Megami Tensei games; Alexis Kennedy - Fallen London, Sunless Sea. Cultist Simulator looks fun. And I'll be following Failbetter Games as well; Hideo Kojima - Metal Gear Solid, Zone of Enders and even Boktai ; Fumito Ueda - Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and Last Guardian. Beatiful games; Koji Igarashi - Castlevania Symphony of the Night and similars; Others: - Love the Metroid series and Metroidvania games in general; - Had a hard-on for horror games back in the day: Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Siren, Galerians, Fatal Frame, Haunting Grounds, Rule of Rose. - Loved Bioshock series (but never played System Shock); - Love the Borderlands franchise; - Love the Tales series; - As I do Fire Emblem; - Not that big on Uncharted, but I loved The Last of Us; - I'm a fan of Assassin's Creed, because I like historical settings, but I don't think the series is particularly good; I think that's basically this. I liked the Witcher 3 a lot, but don't consider myself a fan of the series. But I'm anxious for Cyberpunk 2077 because it's my favorite genre and seems to have something that I think was missing in Witcher 3: Character creation.

- I'm a fan of Assassin's Creed, because I like historical settings, but I don't think the series is particularly good; I'm also an Assassin's Creed fan, very big into the historical settings the games go to as well as the general idea of hooded ninjas leaping across buildings and taking out numerous guards. Although, I honestly feel I'm more into the Desmond games (1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3). Everything after that kind of felt like filler. I like the ones with Desmond not only for its interesting overarching story, but also because I felt it got the perfect balance between the real world and historic world. Every other game just goes to the past (which can be a good thing, but kind of removes what made Assassin's Creed feel unique) and the movie (which I highly ENJOYED by the way) put a bit too much focus on the present, making it feel a little slow.

Well, my favorite game in the series is Black Flag. Man, I had tons of fun with that one. Even the modern world part was way more fun to me. The ones that disappointed to me were Revelations and Unity. 3 wasn't that good, but I didn't think it was bad either. Didn't even play Syndicate, but people say it's one of the good ones. But I was kinda over-burned of the franchise.

Bioware already isn't my favorite developer, that would be Blizzard. As for favorite game not made by Bioware, I have a couple. In no particular order:
Gears of War 3 World of Warcraft Hotline Miami 1+2 Dark Souls 3 Alan Wake
There are more, but these are just a few off the top of my head.
