A general list of non-Bioware games I found memorable over the years, in chronological order: *Defenders of the Crown (1986) *The Faerie Tale Adventure (1987) *Pirates! (1987) *Realms of Arkania Series (1991+) *Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (1992) *System Shock (1993) *Master of Magic (1994) *Fallout 1+2 (1996-1998) *Thief 1+2 (1998-2000) *Deux Ex (1999) *Planescape: Torment (1999) *TES 3: Morrowind (2002)
*Spellforce: The Order of Dawn and its expansions (2003)
*Anno 2070 (2011) *Deux Ex Human Revolution (2011) *Dishonored 1+2 (2012-2016) *XCOM: Enemy Unknown (2013) *Europa Universalis IV (2013)
*Pillars of Eternity (2015) *The Witcher 3 (2015)
*Stellaris (2016)
*XCOM 2 (2016) *Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire (2017) *Pathfinder: Kingmaker (2018)
I'm sure I'll notice I've forgotten about a dozen when I get home... but I wrote this from memory, which is appropriate since the list is of memorable games. And no idea what happened between 2000 and 2010. My memory of the games of that time period is not good, but perhaps it's just that the games that weren't Bioware (unlike KotOR, DAO, ME1) also weren't that interesting to me at that time.
Edit: Added Morrowind, Spellforce 1 and The Witcher 3. Otherwise.....2000-2010 really appears to have been a bad decade. I do recall it that way, in any case, after the Bhaalspawn Trilogy, Deus Ex, PST. the Thief games and others all came out between 1999 and 2001.

I got started with strategy games, though I don't play them as much anymore: Age of Empires II (1999) Pharaoh (1999) Zeus: Master of Olympus (2000) Empire Earth (2001) Warcraft III (2002) Age of Mythology (2002) Celtic Kings (2002) Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom (2002) The Battle for Middle Earth (2004) Dawn of War (2004) Civilization IV (2005) The Battle for Middle Earth II (2006) Spellforce II (2006) Heroes of Might and Magic V (2006) Starcraft II (2010) Crusader Kings II (2012) Age of Wonders III (2014) Endless Legend (2014) Kingdom (2015) Stellaris (2016) Offworld Trading Company (2016) Wargroove (2019) Of course, there's non-Bioware RPGs as well, though I only got into those starting with Origins: Divine Divinity (2002) Fable (2004) Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines (2004) The Witcher (2007) Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) The Witcher II (2011) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012) Shadowrun: Dragonfall (2014) Divinity: Original Sin (2014) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015) Shadowrun: Hong Kong (2015) Sunless Sea (2015) Darkest Dungeon (2016) Divinity: Original Sin II (2017) Plus a few that don't fit in either of the previous categories: The Sims (2000) The Sims 2 (2004) The Sims 3 (2009) Super Meat Boy (2010) Terraria (2011) Don't Starve (2013) Ori and the Blind Forest (2015) Funny thing is, I've played tons more games, but I either didn't particularly care for them or have completely forgotten.

Wow - There are lots of games I like beyond the Bioware stuff. Just a short (but far from complete) list of games I played lately: The "Legends Of Heroes" series: Trails In The Sky Trails In The Sky SC Trails In The Sky the 3th Trails Of Zero (fan translated) Trails Of Azure (fan translated) Trails Of Cold Steel I Trails Of Cold Steel II And I am waiting for the English PC port of Trails Of Cold Steel III and IV From the same publisher/developer Ys Seven Ys - Memories Of Celceta Ys VIII - The Lacrimosa Of Dana (I probably going to play the old Ys series too, but after the "trails" series I had enough of "Old School" isometric-style games for a while) Tokyo Xanadu eX+ And some other (but certainly not lesser) games: Witcher series (all 3 of them) Fallout 3 (heavily modded version), and yes I played Fallout 4 and still want to forget about that... Assassin's Creed Origins Assassin's Creed Odessy Divinity 2 (yes that oldie) Divinity Original Sin Divinity Original Sin II Elex Nox Rebel Galaxy X4 - Foundations SpellForce 3 Starpoint Gemini Warlords (+ Extensions) Pillars of Eternity (+ Extension) Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition The Risen Series (1, 2, 3 - yes clunky, but still fun to play) Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Tales of Symphonia Tales of Zesteria Tales of Berseria Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Shadows: Awakening
And more games, but I guess this is enough for now...

Hmmm hard to think about my favourite games outside of Bioware as my instant thoughts go towards Mass Effect and Dragon Age whenever i try and think of good games.
Id say, Deus Ex (only played current gen versions ie human revolution and mankind divided) Tomb Raider (latest reboot) Hitman (latest reboot) Red Dead (revolver, redemption 1&2) Splinter Cell Batman Arkham series Alan Wake James Bond games (guilty pleasure of mine) Project Gotham Racing 4
If anyone has any suggestions on games i should check out based on my list above that would be great, most people always recommend Skyrim, Fallout or The Witcher 3 and ive tried all 3 and for some reason, despite acknowledging they are all clearly decent games, ive failed to get into any of them and not played past the first hour on any

Dragon Age Origins keeps popping up in my mind lmao. There are, however, many great games out there. -Silent Hill (1-4) -Tales of Vesperia, maybe Symphonia as well -The Witcher 2 -Fallout New Vegas -Shadow Of Colossus -Final Fantasy (7,8,9 and 12) -Zelda Ocarina of Time must be included (for huge nostalgia purposes) -Dragon Quest VIII -F-Zero -Skyrim -The Last Of Us I am sure there are more, but that's what I can think about right now

A lot of mine have already been said but mine are probably the Fifa and the Formula 1 games. The recent Tomb Raider trilogy and The Longest Journey series. At least those are my faves outside of Bioware's games

The Shining games by Camelot in the 90s before they had a falling out with Sega. These games are; Shining in the Darkness (Sega Genesis) Shining Force (Sega Genesis) Shining Force Gaiden (Game Gear) Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya (Game Gear) Shining Force 2 (Sega Genesis) Shining Force CD (Sega CD) Shining Force Gaiden (Game Gear) Shining Wisdom (Sega Saturn) Shining the Holy Ark (Sega Saturn) Shining Force 3 Scenario 1 (Sega Saturn) Shining Force 3 Scenario 2 Shining Force 3 Scenario 3 Shining Force 3 Premium Disk (free bonus disk given to those who had proof of all 3 Scenarios) ^ The late Total Biscuit playing Shining Force 3 Scenario 1 first battle. The year I first played Shining Force 3 Scenario 1-3 was one of my gaming highlights. Was when I quit my job one summer and for 10 months it was all I played. First time I've been that hooked to a game before discovering Mass Effect Trilogy. And the cool thing about Shining Force 3 Scenario 1-3 is that decisions you make in Scenario 1 affects Scenario 2 & 3, ditto for the choices in 2 affecting 3, so it's like Mass Effect. How cool is that.

Hmmm... So many. The 6 first are in order, but the rest I don't know how to rank.
The Longest Journey (might actually be my favorite game of all time, ranking higher than even BioWare games) Tyranny The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Life is Strange Tacoma The Sims franchise Banished SOMA Oxenfree Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Orwell The Long Dark (not story mode) Grand Theft Auto V Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
I also have waaay to many I haven't gotten to yet...

Tons and tons are fantastic. Ultima series. Final fantasy 1-12 GTA3 borderlands Elder Scrolls series Fallout series Civilization games&alpha centari Fable 1&2 Freedom force
Quite a few star wars games Shadowrun SNES and genesis, retuens, dragonfall, hong kong Team fortress 2 Diablo 1&2 Starcraft Warcraft 1-3 Might and magic 1-9 Tons of tomb raider games uncharted series most of the Burnout games shenmue 1&2 Mario games Pokemon games zelda games Ratchet and clank games Metroid Halo 1&2 Dues Ex Arcanum Magicka Zork Gold box D&D games like pool of radiance If I was trying to narrow it down to a absolute favorite man I don't know. I might say Final Fantasy 7, its not the best game but it left a huge impression on me. It was the first game that really changed my opinion on what games could be, the jump from whatever Nintendo I had to a play station my friend had brought over while I was in college was so huge i pulled together my tip money and bought one even though I really couldn't afford it. I have enjoyed many games more than it since then but it permanently opened my eyes and nothing else had or probably could have the same level of impact.

Fire Emblem Awakeningfirst Fire Emblem game I've ever played, and it's great though it has a bit of a predictable storyline at times, there are a lot of likeable characters in it plus I can make my character(s) into one man armies, that's always fun also...it allows for loads and loads of shipping
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion I love that game, especially the expansion Shivering Isles (Sheogorath is my favorite Daedric prince) plus Martin's death gets me every time, and yes...I did head canon that my character had a romance with him (even still do at times)
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Amazing game, I just sometimes wish it wasn't so easy to become the leader of each and every guild I mean...my heavy armor hammer flinging character can join the thieves guild? what's up with that? Also it has dragons (to bad you have to kill 95% of them )
The Sims 3 (and any Sims game in general)
every now and then I need a light and airy game, and imo. there's nothing lighter then playing Sims I'm terrible at building houses though, and playing fair (I use way to many cheats) oh and being able to actually make a 'legacy' but hey *shrug* it's fun
And...technically still a Bioware game, but... Neverwinter Nights 2 the one game that kindled my love for Bioware, and RPG games in general we bought a new video card for our shared pc (back then my brother and I had to share it due to reasons), and the game was given as a free gift alongside it my brother didn't like it so asked if I wanted it, so I was like...sure I'll try it didn't finish it at the time, but I have finished it and the expansion (Mask of the Betrayer) since and I still love it

Hmm, games outside of Bioware?
KOTOR 2 Dishonored 1 + 2 Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (I almost died of happiness when they announced the sequel!) Witcher 1, 2, and 3 (2 is the least favourite of the series though) Kingdom of Amalur (not as deep as I wanted it to be, but good fun nontheless)

Oh man, I played A LOT of Solitaire as a teenager. Spider Solitaire mostly. Because back then that was pretty much all my PC could handle. Gave me something to do while listening to my favorite music. Always played on the highest difficulty with a shameful success rate of less than 10%. "I'll beat it this time!" was oddly motivating, lol. I should pick it up again!

Skyrim - I checked steam and I've played over 5000 hours since 11/11/11. World Of Warcraft - I've played on and off since 2005 3-4 months of every expansion
I can always fall back on these 2. Skyrim for singleplayer and WoW for multiplayer.

Destiny or Skyrim. Got plenty of game series I enjoy, but I ultimately end up coming back to those games during summer droughts, or when I don't have anything else I'm interested in playing.
