There is a "disused passage" at the docks that has a couple battles and a good store, as well as a deathroot. You've probably already visited it though.

So I finally beat the Fenris recruitment quest. It was tough battle not only did Hawke, Aveline, Fenris, and Isabella fight waves of shades there were rage demons as well. When we finally got to our objective, Fenris's former master was gone. Fenris then spoke a bit about himself how the markings were lyrium engraved into his skin. Hawke dismissed Fenris and Isabella and brought back Bethany and Anders. Hawke had received a letter at Gamlan's house. It was about a Chantry sister Patrice looking for help in Lowtown. Upon locating her she is approached by a strange looking man who said he could help her. He told her to come with him. Hawke seeing this was a setup intervened. The party attacked the thugs and defeated them. Sister Patrice thanked Hawke and said she was looking for someone like Hawke, and invited Hawke to her house in Lowtown. Inside Hawke is introduced to a Saarebas, a Qunari mage. Who was shackled and tortured by his kinsman. Sister Patrice asked Hawke to escort the Saarebas through the underground beneath Darktown, and lead him outside the city. Once outside they are met by Qunari, who says the mage must come back to the Qun. He basically says the Saarebas are abominations and must be restrained, Hawke and the Qunari have a conversation which leads to a fight when he sees Bethany and Anders, calling them Saarebas. The party defeats them and the mage walks away. Hawke follows the mage and the mage speaks for the first time. He says he will return to the Qun, which will certainly lead to his death. Hawke tries to talk some sense into him. But the mage is set in his ways and lights himself on fire, killing himself. Feeling setup, Hawke and co. head back to sister Patrice. She basically tells Hawke that she used her and that nobody was going to take the word of a Lowtown thug. Hawke threatens her by saying she will remember this. She leaves the house and heads to Gamlan's house. Gamlan tells her received another letter. It was from a Dwarf saying to met him at nigh in Lowtown. Hawke and co. met the Dwarf and he says he will pay for their expedition, and then Hawke will pay him back double the amount. Hawke refuses the offer and leaves.

Short, but interesting. Sometimes I let him go back to Qun, because he want this, sometimes I try to save him, just as you. The qun is absurd.

Next time I play DAI, I'm gonna play as a Tal Vashoth mage, in memory to him.

Thank you for that link. That thread is gold. It really made me think about that poor Saarebas more and the Qunari in general. I've played as a Qunari in DAI and never understood why a Tal Vashoth would want to leave his kinsmen. Now I know after seeing how they treat there mages. They are worse than the Templars. At least the Templars in DAO, co-existed in the towers with the mages. Even though some where by the book (Ser Gregoir) and some where more easy to talk to (Cullen before the Circle's fall in DAO). I'm gonna go back to finish the last page of the thread you linked.

Does anyone know the location of the four conspirators? I've found 3 out of 4, I just need one more. Then Hawke could go and speak to Batram. Also should I bring Anders to the Deep Roads? If not I am thinking a Hawke, Bethany Aveline and Varric combination.

Or Hawke, Varric, Anders, Aveline. I have a post on this thread for this let me find it

The Deep Roads ExpeditionFor one of the largest missions, it's kinda funny how not complicated it is regarding companions. IF you bring a sibling to the Deep Roads you MUST bring Anders. If you are NOT bringing sibling to the Deep Roads, that gives you 2 empty slots to choose from. Yes, Two, not three. Varric is locked in for this quest. Since you’re already locked into a companion who is a bit of a sub par archer on a rather large mission… choose carefully. The only companions who can GAIN friendship on this mission is Anders, Aveline, and Varric. Not a bad combination, a tank, a healer, and the forced archer companion.. but if you’re already high up on the friendship bars for those two companions, you can let something else guide your decision. Prepare yourself. Head over to hightown to talk to Bartrand. And Good Luck. Keep an eye out for: 2 Deep Mushroom, 1 Silverite, 2 Raw Lyrium, 1 Orichalcum. Here you go , talyn82

You like Bethany. Bring Anders, or leave Bethany at home. Well there are three reasons I always bring her in my quests. 1) She is Hawkes sister. 2) She is a mage, so I must keep her away from Templars. 3) She is very effective I hardly have to babysit her. I am so amused by your reasons for secret reasons. Do tell me who you're bringing!
