(OOC: Located in Val Royneux) Willis is having a bad day. All he was doing is going to the Orelisan bank to withdraw coin for his boss, Martin Goodman. He owed money to a gang...... again and is now calling on Willis to go in and retrieve the last of the money he saved up. Simple enough job, compared to the things he had to do as a mercenary. Go in, get the money and give it to Martin so he can pay off his debts. Things were never that simple throughout Willis' life. As he was standing in line waiting for the receptioner, masked robbers wearing Freeman armor busted the Orlesian bank. "Every one be calm this is a robbery!" One of them shouted with a unfamiliar accent: Starkhaven? Everyone screamed except Willis who had the outward appearance of being calm but his heart felt like it wanted burst out of his chest. There were 5 men from the looks of it. All wielding crossbows. "Get down on your bellies!" The one in the middle shouted. Willis and the other people did as they were told. And the men got to work, Willis heard weeping and whimpering from victims. One of the men took big brown faded bags and headed to the vault along with another robber who seemingly has explosives of some kind. Three of the robbers were spread out analyzing the people with their crossbows held out. Willis couldn't tell from their masks, but from his experience he believes these men won't hesitate to kill anyone who tries to do anything stupid. "Don't try to be the hero!" The leader shouted in an Starkhaven accent. "Just stay on the ground and this will go smoothly!" Willis held his breath and tried not to move, but it was kind of hard to do that when someone was tapping his shoulder. "Hey man!" The person said "What's your name, I'm a member of the knife throwers club! I'm about to take these people down." "My name is Willis" Willis answered "I really don't think it's a good idea." As a Spirit Warrior, Willis could summon the help of a spirit of the fade and try to take them down. But they may gun down the people out of desperation, Willis couldn't take that chance. And this man is crazy thinking he can take all of them out by throwing knives! "Well yeah?" The crazy man retorted "Well leader of the city guard told me it was a bad idea to rush in a burning home and save kids. Well guess what I got in saved those kids sustaining multiple third degree burns. Thedas was built a bunch of bad ideas!" "Whatever." Willis breathed, he really hoped he didn't die due to this man's stupidity. One of the men who was going to the vault appeared in front of the theiving trio "the explosives are set and will ready to explode to explode in 60 seconds." He said cheerfully. Then he said something Willis did not expect. "Listen people!" He announced "We come in peace! My brother and I just want the money-" "Why did you tell them were brothers you fucking idiot?!" The leader shouted "That'll narrow the search!" "These people have been through a lot!" The man explained "It's best to be honest!" "Maker's breath stop being honorable!" The leader barked "Starkhaven thieves are anything but honorable!" "Now you said Starkhaven!" The man yelled "That's even going narrow the search even further!" "Fuck you man! Get off the Lyrium dust before you tell me what to do!" "I'll order you around when-" A shout of "DIE YOU FUCKS!" next to Willis. In a few seconds the suicidal man took out a knife and threw at the third man. The knife hit the exposed neck of his armor. There was blood flowing from it and the man fell down choking on his blood dying. "Micheal!" The leader shouted and he immediately shot the crazy man in the head. "I told you not to fuck with us!" He cried out in anger. Willis heard a crack, but couldn't tell if it was the man's skull or his neck. The suicidal man flew a couple of inches and landed hard on the floor dead on the ground. The two men circled on the dead robber "Micheal!" The leader cried in pain "Fucking Micheal!" Just then there was an explosion. Wasting little time the men ran to the vault grabbed the gold and left in a rush. Leaving the corpse of the robber behind. "Just my luck" Willis sighed. The Cheviliars came in minutes after the robbers left and tried to interview and investigate the robbery. Willis managed to slip out, he needed to inform Martin about the situation and he hated the Cheviliars, they claim to be honorable but in reality they were just thugs with a badge. Heading to Martin's apartment, Willis immediately knocked on the door. "Hey Martin!" Willis shouted "Wake up! Martin!" Martin Goodman is Willis' current boss he wasa former solider for Ferelden who was secretly a Spirit Warrior. Willis first met Martin while he was serving as a Pirate under Captain Bart Davis at age 15. Captain Davis was smuggling Lyrium dust for Martin's club to appeal to the Templars. It was more of a hi bye kind of thing, nothing too major, It was when he became a mercenary that he became an on and off worker for Martin Goodman. Martin owned Brothels and Taverns for men and women regardless of sexual preference in Orlais. He was known as the Night King. He loved hosting parties and was very good at it. But he Martin was absorbed in the lifestyle, and bad choices led to him being debt with various people. Willis found Martin as a solid source of income, because his list of problems seemed endless. However he did owe it to Martin, since he did help him control his abilities as a Spirit Warrior. Just a little though. "What?!" A voice muffled through the door. Willis shook his head and opened the door. "Martin we got a problem." Willis said simply. Martin's apartment is huge but very messy with the floor littered with wine and a painting of Empress Celene hung crooked. There stood Martin, with messy blond hair and a goatee. He is in his fifties but he looked like he was in his late thirties, a strict diet can make anyone look young. Or so he claimed. "Oh it's you!" Martin retorted. "Hello to you to." Willis said sarcastically. "The bank got robbed." "Ah shit." Martin said bitterly pacing back and forth "Now this day is turning wretched!" "Tell me about it" Willis said. "Boyfriend thinks I'm made of soveriegns. Taverns catering to the rich mindless crowd are suddenly poor and mindless!" Wills crossed his arms and chuckled. "Now every hood rat in Orlais are thinking: "Let's put the squeeze on the Tavern owners! They must love to replace my insecurties with their money because they love to get drunk all night talking to idiots because they enjoy it!" "So a typical day?" Willis said. "Oh who asked you?!" Martin snorted. "Just trying help?" You know if the bodyguard job doesn't work out, then you should consider a career in counseling! People would love your empathy!" "Okay....." Willis said in confusion "Bah!" Martin spat heading to the crystal table and taking a small brown bag. "Well anyway Willis, take this, It contains lyrium. For good will for the Templars. As I try to negoiate with them to help me pay off the debt. I can't attend the negotiation because I'm busy tonight. So I'm sending you in my place!" "What work are you doing?" Willis questioned. "None of your business." Martin said. "Any way the meeting is in the slums in an abandoned building near the potions shop. The man's name is Kenneth. He'll be expecting you." "All right." Willis sighed taking the pouch and went on his way. He was halfway to the door until Martin spoke: "Willis, this deal.... try not to mess this up, I really need this." "Of course Martin." Willis smiled "You can count on me." Martin smiled as Willis exited the apartment. ( GoldenGail3) (OOC: This will be titled Odd Jobs set in Dragon 9:46. SofaJockey)

She was in the midst of healing a random vagrant. It was a perfectly normal day to the almost homeless Angelica, as per usual she always was bound to heal someone. The vagrant gave her twenty dollars and a sort of shady smile before running off to their 'area' of occupation. Angelica sat in her corner, as she set the twenty dollars on her lap - she didn't request it, but she wouldn't deny money when she given it. It was the source of her getting food and water, so she was highly retaliate on it to keep alive. She had no home, as of late. She sighed; life was never this complicated in the Circle. She'd walk out of her little shaded area in her usual blue-hoodie attire, unaware of the danger she was in.
A large man was behind her all of a sudden - he probably came from one of the side buildings - those were usually full of thieves and other morally ambigous figures, as they had been abandoned for sometime. She screamed, a bit pitifully, as the man picked her up, she'd wonder why - the thieves left her alone for the most part. Was she about to be... uh... Raped by this individual. She knew she shouldn't have chosen this neighbor hood, among other things. She'd realize once inside the building, the man had set her down on the floor, which was terribly dirty and smelled like sulfur smoke for some reason, and the man disappeared, closing the heavy door behind him with a slam. The room suddenly became a much colder place to the mage, but she swallowed her nerves to try and find the door, to see if she could get or the likes. Fornately, she could hear the conversion that was taking place outside, unfortunately, she couldn't see anything, still. "- Red Lyruim." One femine sounding voice said, her voice was sharp and commanding. Maybe she was the leader? But she didn't know. "We need the Mage...." The masculine's voice projected across the room like a - he sounded subversive in comparison to the feminine voice, but at least he needed her for something, she thought gratefully. "The Mage is not one of our problems, she's contained." The feminine voice stated. "The Templar doesn't think so, Mistress." The Masculine voice sounded amused. She'd wonder why her? Why her? Why did they want her amongst people? Something to do with Red Lyrium she assumed, and a Templar, but she didn't know much... She'd shrink down, until she was sitting on the floor in such a manner that stated that she didn't care about anything.

Síne pulled her cloak tighter together. A beggar tried to get her attention. She ignored him and hurried along her way. The slums were like a maze. After walking through a narrow alley, she found the woman she was looking for. Helen was standing by herself in an empty square. Síne ran to her, not taking the time to observe their surroundings. Síne was surprised when Helen embraced her and hugged her tightly. “I am so sorry,” Helen whispered in her ear. Síne did not understand what Helen referred to. Then she touched Helen’s cheek with her own and felt that it was wet with tears. This sent a cold shiver down Síne’s spine. Looking over Helen’s shoulder, she saw a group of cloaked men approaching. They wore heavy armour beneath their capes. “Fight,” Helen whispered. The two women pulled away from each other. The men surrounding them drew their swords. They were Templars – Red Templars. Helen ran. The Templars ignored her. Their attention was fixed on Síne. Síne pressed her fingers against her temples. Her telekinetic blast threw many of the Templars on their backs. She summoned fire from her fingers, frying two Templars inside their armour. For a moment, Síne thought she was winning. Then everything went black. When she regained her sight, she was lying on the ground. Blood streamed from her nose. Her muscles were numb. A Templar had smitten her with his power. She crawled through the mud, calling for Helen. Síne did not know if she was calling for help or promising revenge. The Templars did not kill her. They simply lifted her up and carried her away.

"Welcome to the slums." Willis thought to himself.
This was definitely the place, a dark corner away from the glorious crown jewel of Val Royeaux. The slums were dirty filled with blood and grime. It's inhabitants were murderers, smugglers and pretty much any undesirables in Orlais. Willis smiled at that though, as he believes that Orlais nobles weren't so different with their "grand game" which involved murder, backstabbing, betrayal. You know like the people who live in the slums do.
Wills stepped on some nugshit on his way to the abandoned house. As he was scrapping it off, a beggar came and asked for a sovereign. "Don't have any sorry." Willis muttered and went on his way. There was always a beggar, every time Willis enters the slums for business purposes. He usually gives a coin or two, but he is fresh out of money this time.
"But you have money in that pouch!" The Beggar cried behind Willis.
After a 10 minutes of navigating. Willis found the abandoned house where he was supposed to meet the Templars who were supposedly going to pay of Martin's debt. The Templars were popular customers in Martin's brothels, the knights would often fuck and consume lyrium all night. Kenneth was a long time visitor, Willis remembered seeing his name "Ser Kenneth" signed on the brothel notebooks almost everyday. Willis approached house, It was a huge house that looked like it was about to collapse. The wood looked like it was gnawed through by rats and other bugs, and the roof was a giant sheet of rusted metal.
Maybe Martin sent Willis here so he can avoid going into slums. Although Martin visited the slums a few times, he always hated claiming it made feel dirty. Willis agreed, no sane man goes here willingly.
Willis knocked on the shabby wooden door. Immediately the door opened and two Templars swords drawn out greeted Willis. "Willis?" One of them asked.
"Yeah that's me." Willis said a bit wary of the appearances of the Templars. Their eyes were sunken, Willis noticed the Templar who talked to him hands were shaking slightly. Clearly the haven't ingested lyrium in days.
How's a pouch of lyrium going to satisfy them?
"Follow me." The man croaked and Willis complied. Willis counted about 12 Templars in the big house, he also saw a big metal door with a Templar guarding it. Willis wondered what was in there.
At last Willis saw Kenneth the leader of these Templars. He is a bleached face man with blond hair and sharp blue eyes. He also possessed the sunken eyes as well. "Sergeant Kenneth!" The Templar said here is Mister Goodman's representative.
"Ah Willis!" Kenneth said with surprise and desperation. "You got the stuff?"
"Yeah, I got it." Willis said. "What about the money?"
"Oh it's coming."
"Woah." Willis said holding pouch to his chest. "I ain't giving you this shit until you show me the coin."
It was then the Templars closed in and seized Willis before he could do anything. "HEY WHAT FUCK GET OFF ME!" Willis yelled.
One of the Templars took the pouch away from Willis who tried to fight back but was hit in the face by a fully plated Templar. Willis saw stars for a brief moment and he nearly fainted. "Fuck you." he muttered as he tried to lift his right eye but to no avail while the Templars took his saber away.
"Take him to the room with the mage." Kenneth smiled. "It's time."
"Mage?" Willis thought while the Templars hauled him to the room with the metal door. The Templar who was guarding opened up the door and Willis saw a young elven woman with long blonde hair and robes.
The Templars threw Willis near the girl and he immediately got up but only to face the sharp edge of the sword.
"I would definitely like to thank you Willis." Kenneth said emerging from the group. "You and especially the mage will be nice candidates for mining Red Lyrium."
"What the fuck?!" Willis yelled.
Kenneth slammed the door in front of them as Willis ran towards it.
"FUCK YOU!" Willis shouted pounding on the door to no avail.
Noticing the girl behind him Willis sighed and tried to form a smile. "Hey! Are you all right? How long have you been in here?"
Getting closer to the elven girl Willis asked "So you're mage huh? Do you have enough mana to break open this door? If not....."
Willis reached into backpocket, revealing a lockpick.
"We'll get out the old fashioned way. Come on I'm sticking around to be food for the Templars."
Willis turned around and was about to lockpick but forgot something.
"I forgot." He laughed. "What is your name?"

The elven woman struggled to her feet. There were bruises on her skin. Her robe was drenched in mud. Blood trickled down her nose. “My name is Síne,” she managed to say. “I do not need lyrium. I need blood.” Her voice turned ominous. “If you kill one of those bastards, I can burn this whole place down.” She held up her hands. They were tied together with rope. There were burn marks from chaffing round her wrist. “I hope I did not scare you,” she said in a milder tone. “Help me get lose. You will need my help.”

Willis was a bit disturbed at Sine's demeanor. She needed blood? "Yeah I'm not sure the best course of action is blood magic" He said.
She obviously suffered abuse at the hands of the Red Templars, and while he would gladly incite revenge on being screwed over right now they are heavily outnumbered even with Sine's blood magic and Willis' spirit form.
“I hope I did not scare you,” Sine said in a milder tone. “Help me get lose. You will need my help.”
Willis took a knife from his pocket and cut the elven mage loose "Listen." Willis said. "I understand you want to incite vengeance, but we're aren't in a great position right now and there are a lot of them. I'd suggest sneaking out."
Willis motioned the Elf to get behind him and began to pick the lock.

The elf leaned against a pillar. Her eyes fluttered. She looked a little dizzy.
"It is all wood," she said. "How fast do you think those things can run in their heavy armour with those crystals sticking out of their bodies?"
A moment later her eyes were shut. Her lithe body sank down to the floor. She mumbled unintelligibly while the man worked the rusty lock.

"You'd be surprised how nimble one can be in armor." Willis chuckled as he fiddled with the locks. "Dunno if the crystals make them slower though."
Willis heard a click and the rusted door creeked open, Willis caught the door as it was opening and gently closed it. "All right, let's get out of-"
Willis turned around and saw Sine sleeping on the floor mumbling something incoherently.
"Woah!" Willis rushed to the Elf. "Wake up Sine! Wake up!" He put his hands on Sine's bony shoulders rocking her gently to get up.

Síne woke up immediately. She looked past Willis at the still closed door and sighed.
"I'd blow it off its hinges with just a little lyrium or..."
Her eyes observed Willis athletic body.
"I could..." she stammered. "It would not need to be much."

Gripping Sine's hand, slowly opened the rusted door. There were two Red Templars, their hands on the hilt of their swords standing right behind them. There small, red spikes all over their shoulders and the two red Templars were mumbling about the "song." something which confused Willis. What song are they talking about.
"How are you holding up Sine?" Willis whispered as he snuck past the Templars.
There was a small dark hallway leading to the main room of the warehouse. The brickwalls were full of grime and Rats were scurrying around Willis and Sine's feet. Growing up in the docks of Rivain most of his life, Willis was used to Rats. Someone like Martin Goodman who lived the high life was scared shitless of them. From both sides of the corridor. There were the same rusted doors that Willis and Sine were in. He could hear the moans through some of the doors. He wanted to help them, but there not when they were outnumbered.
Finally reaching the exit of the hallway, Willis arrived at the main entrance in where he was supposed to make the deal. He and Sine were of the top floor and below them were the Red Templars apparently having a Sermon, ducking behind a crater Willis looked at Sine.
"Stay with me Sine." He said. "Here comes the hard part."

"Lend me your knife," Síne whispered, reaching her tiny hand into Willis pocket. Then knife in hand, she crawled like a cat towards a rat that was nibbling on some morsels in a corner. The rat did not notice Síne before it was too late for it. Síne stabbed the little rodent as it tried to run past her. Blood ran down Síne's hands as she triumphantly help up her prize. She returned to Willis with her rat souvlaki.
"Don't worry," she whispered. "I am not going to eat it."

"What I'm worried about is what your other intention is." Willis whispered, "Do you have a plan in mind, one requires subtlety?" Willis looked around the exit was heavily guarded with Red Templars.
"What we need is a distraction Sine, we just need them to get preoccupied enough for us to escape. So what do you suggest?"

"Just keep close behind and be ready to help me run."
Síne threw herself across the railing and dropped down to the ground floor. Some of the Templars turned towards her. Síne lifted Willis dagger above her head. Drops of rat blood trickled down her brow. Síne mumbled a mantra under her breath. The rat carcass combusted. The Templars circled in on the elf. They were just about to get her when every single lantern in the room exploded. Most of the Templars were thrown off their feet. The floor became littered with shards of glass. A couple of fires had broken out.
Síne smiled, before collapsing onto the floor.

Willis was bewildered at the Elf's plan "Wait what?"
It was too late, Sine jumped off the railing and landed on the floor. She was quickly surrounded by Templars, just as they were about to close in Sine used Willis Dagger filled with the Rat's blood. She mumbled something incoherent to Willis and Rat corpse exploded, pushing every Templar back.
"Damn it!" Willis yelled out as he jumped off the railing, his boots landed on the blood stained floor. Willis grimaced a bit as he saw Sine faint. He's seen blood mages there's always a cost the power they possess.
"Kill them!" Kenneth cried out covered in blood and slowly getting up.
The Red Templars got up swords at the ready and Willis quickly began go into a meditative state looking for a spirit to inhabit him. A split second later a one got a hold of him and Willis began glowing. The Red Templars were stunned as Willis stood in front of Sine's unconscious body. A Red Templar launched himself towards the spirit warrior, but Willis easily cut him down his sword seamlessly going through is armor. As he was about to collapse, Willis kicked him with his enhanced strength knocking the red templar towards the group of Templars still in awe of him. They all fell down and Willis used this opportunity to escape. Picking up Sine, he bridal carried the Elf out of the Warehouse.
Slipping out of his spirit form, Willis sprinted through the narrow alleyway looking for anyplace to hide. There was an empty house towards his left and Willis did not hesitate to kick open the door closing it as soon as he was in. Looking around, the house was very dusty full of Spiders and of course Rats. Willis heard the clanking of armor, and taking Sine he hid in a closet, hoping that the Templars pass by.
"Sine, are you awake?" Willis whispered.

Síne laughed. It sounded like a hollow cackle. She looked dreadful. Her skin was drained of all colour. Blotches of smeared blood and mud covered her from toe to eartip.
"We made it," she whispered. Her nonexistent belly rumbled. "I need to eat something. And drink. And sleep." Her voice was hoarse.
Her fingers felt around in the dark. "There are some clothes here." Síne slipped out of her drenched robe. Her stringy body shivered in the cold. She used a scarf to wipe her face. Then she put on a tunic and a pair of trousers. The trousers needed to be fastened with rope to keep from falling. She looked ridiculous - like a little human girl dressing in her father's clothes.
"Just another street-urchin," she said satisfied.

Willis was surprised that Sine was so willing to dress right in front of him while hiding in the closet. "Okay pretend I'm not here....." He said with embarrassment.
"I need to eat something. And drink. And sleep." Sine's voice was hoarse.
"You don't have a home? No one to go to?" Willis asked. He wondered if Sine lived most of her life as an apostate running from the Templars especially since she specialized in Blood Magic. As someone who hailed from Rivain Willis didn't mind blood magic as various forms of it was practiced (in private in order to avoid trouble from the chantry.) however it was never to a gruesome degree at least from what Willis remembered from his childhood as an orphan working in the docks.
He wondered if Sine was from Tevinter, but right now it wasn't good time.
As Sine dressed Willis observed her hastily put on some random clothing. "Just another street-urchin," she said satisfied.
"I think I fit that definition better, Sine." Willis smiled "You look really good."
It was more of an attempt to cheer her up, she looks like she's been through hell.
Willis checked outside to see if the coast is clear. "All right, It seems that were good." He said "Follow me and stay close."

"You don't have a home? No one to go to?" Willis asked.
"I came her seeking help from an old friend," Síne said. "It did not turn out."
As Sine dressed Willis observed her hastily put on some random clothing. "Just another street-urchin," she said satisfied.
"I think I fit that definition better, Sine." Willis smiled "You look really good."
Síne giggled awkwardly. "I can't imagine I do."
Willis checked outside to see if the coast was clear. "All right, It seems that were good." He said "Follow me and stay close."
Síne staggered after Willis. The pair moved quickly through the wending alleyways. The streets began filling with people. The Templars were unlikely to follow them through these crowds. Their monstrous appearance demanded they keep a low profile.
Willis looked back at Síne. He was surprised to see her chewing on an apple. Several discarded cores lay in the mud behind her, forming a breadcrumb trail.
"Did you want one?" Síne asked. "I lost my breath walking and eating. You move fast."
The sound of heavy footstep and clattering armour caught the pair's attention. It was not Templars. A group of soldiers led by an armour-clad Chevalier was marching towards them. People were giving them a wide berth.
"Anyone who can tell us where to find the Red Templars hiding here will be rewarded," one of the soldiers shouted. It was a bad idea. The whole crowd acted as on cue. Everyone wanted to show the soldiers the way. People were tucking at the soldiers' uniforms. Síne and Willis were pushed together by the swarm of people. It was impossible for them to move.
The Chevalier was quick to lose his patience. He hit one of the beggars in the face with his gauntleted fist. The poor man's nose exploded in blood. This caught the rabid crowd's attention. The Chevalier drew his sword and held it threateningly before the mass of people.
"Delaying a Chevalier from his holy duty is a capital offence," he snared. "Disperse or be cut down."
Síne held her hands over her nose. "What do we do?" she asked Willis. "They do not look too friendly."

Willis raised an eyebrow "Where did you get an apple? Well in any case I'm not hungry, you need the food more than I do."
Walking through the emaculent marketplace of Val Royneux, Willis was glad to escape the slums. His first thoughts was lay it into Goodman about how he led Willis into a trap, but It was very unlikely that he didn't know how psychotic his "friend" has become. Nonetheless, Goodman is still debt while making another enemy. Willis sighed, at the thought of Martin's reaction. He'll probably blame it on Willis, even though he had nothing to do with it. Willis then stared at his new friend. It seems that Sine has nowhere to go, so looks she'll have to tag along for now.
Just then Willis and Sine heard heavy footsteps approaching them. A group of soldiers led by Chevalier gathered a crowd. Willis frowned at the Chevalier what is the self-righteous asshole doing?
"Anyone who can tell us where to find the Red Templars hiding here will be rewarded," one of the soldiers shouted.
Red Templars? Apparently Sine and Willis made a lot of noise. "We've probably done their jobs for them." Willis snorted to himself.
However the people, presumably thinking that there's an award in place began swarming around the soldiers. Willis and Sine were stuck between people trying to inform the Chevalier and Soldiers. Willis struggling for breath tried to escape the crowd hoping that Sine would follow him. the crowd were pulling at the soldiers, shouting random places. "They're at the docks!" One of them shouted. "No! They're in this marketplace!" The other said.
The Chevalier fed up, with the people punched beggar in the face. His nose broken and bleeding, the man fell to the crowd much to the shock of the people. As horrified as he was, Willis couldn't help suppress a smile at the people being flabbergasted at this turn of events. "These Chevaliers aren't very honorable are they people?" He thought.
"Delaying a Chevalier from his holy duty is a capital offence," the Chevalier snared. "Disperse or be cut down."
Síne held her hands over her nose. "What do we do?" she asked Willis. "They do not look too friendly."
Stone faced, Willis turned to Sine "We'll tell them, I doubt they'll believe us though."
After the crowd dispersed, Willis approached the Chevalier. The Orlesian knight still held his blade up high. "I thought I told you to disperse!" He growled.
"We have information that'll intrigue you." Willis said, trying to hide the spite in his voice.
The Chevalier snorted, but one of the soldiers told him to put his sword down. "We are desperate for information Ser." He said.
Turning to Willis the Soldier allowed the Rivani to continue. "My friend and I spotted Red Templar activity in an abandoned warehouse deep into the slums. I've heard rumors that they are capturing people and using their bodies to mine red lyrium."
"It's something we can go with Ser." The solider said to the Chevalier.
The Chevalier moved closer to Willis and put his sword on his throat. Willis felt the cold steel stinging his skin, and he motioned Sine to stand down if she was going to do anything rash. "Do you have proof boy?" The Chevalier asked.
"Just that my friend and I saw the Red Templars with our own eyes." Willis said, his eyes narrowing at the Chevalier with hatred.
The Chevelier glared at Willis for few seconds then removed sword from his throat and handed him a coin pouch. "For your help." He said, rallying the troops to enter the slums.
After they left, Willis looked at Sine. "I hate Chevaliers." He growled "Self-righteous assholes."
Staring at the beggar who still had his nose broken. Willis asked Sine. "Hey could you heal the man's broken nose please?"
Willis then tossed the man the coin pouch. "For your troubles."
The man smiled. "Thank you." He said.

Síne looked at the blood streaming out of the poor beggar's face. "I wished I had an airtight vial with me," she casually remarked.
Willis asked Sine. "Hey could you heal the man's broken nose please?"
Síne's large eyes widened to enormous proportions. "Here? With an audience."
It sounded like Willis was serious. Síne reluctantly squatted down in front of the man. His nose was completely smothered. There seemed to be some fractures in his skull.
"I can't make him pretty," Síne said, "or make it stop hurting."
She held her hands over the beggar's face. White light emanated from her palms. The blood in the beggar's face coagulated immediately and his flesh slowly knit itself together around his wounds. The man was still horribly disfigured. His nose was just a sliver of loose flesh.
"Sorry," Síne whispered. "Find yourself some elfroot. It will dull the pain. Stay away from mirrors."
Willis then tossed the man the coin pouch. "For your troubles."
"You what?" Síne jaw dropped to the ground. She could not believe what she saw. An entire pouch full of coins. Money was not an abstract thing for Síne. It was warm food and soft blankets. Her first thought was to wrestle the money back from the beggar. He looked strong, though. Síne looked up at Willis. No support there. It took all of Síne's willpower to restrain herself. The man scampered away from them. It seemed like he had a limp foot from before.
Síne scowled at Willis. "Why him? Why him and not one of the other millions of beggars around here. Why not me?" She snorted and crossed her skinny arms. "We saved each other from the Templars. That breeds a bond. You would not drop me off penniless in a strange place, would you?"
The crowd was gathering in on them. They were all staring at Síne. "A witch," they shouted. "An elven malificar."
Síne held up her hands and did a little raindance before the crowd. It seemed to give the angry mob pause.

"You'd think I'd have forgotten you Sine?" Willis smirked. "I know a man who'll provide you with some food and water. Besides, I'm renting a room at Dead Man's Port. It has an extra bed, you can crash with me until you can recover. You got nowhere to go right? Besides....."
Willis reached in his pocket for his coin pouch and tossed it to Sine.
"I have coin of my own from my last job, you can keep it." Just then a crowd surrounded the duo Willis thought the crowd dispersed, but apparently they came back, discovering Sine's magic. "A witch," they shouted. "An elven malificar."
"Relax people." Willis said, "The girl was doing an Rivani ritual. A raindance of sorts, It usually requires us to do good deeds like feed the homeless!"
Síne held up her hands and did a little raindance before the crowd. It seemed to give the angry mob pause.
The crowd seemed satisfied by Willis' "explanation. "Street rats." One of them said before leaving.
"Well that worked well!" Willis grinned staring at Sine. "So Sine, what do you say? Do you want to go our separate ways?"

"I guess they realised they forgot their pitchforks," Síne said as the mob dispersed again. There was real worry in her voice.
"Well that worked well!" Willis grinned staring at Sine. "So Sine, what do you say? Do you want to go our separate ways?"
Síne looked around herself. This was very close to her idea of hell. It was neither the comfort of the Circle tower nor the pastoral beauty of the countryside. Instead it was the smell of stained piss, rotten food, disease and the ever present possibility of violence. Thousands of poor sods crammed together in a gigantic ghetto, fighting for scraps.
Síne looked at the coin Willis had given her. "I will come with you," she said awkwardly. "Anyway, we should move. I do not want to meet those people again when their drunker, meaner and less frightened."
