Mass Effect Andromeda is the worst rated Bioware game by professional and user critical consensus. Across all three platforms it averages a 74 metascore, likewise its userscore is lower than DA2.
Bioware seems finished. The "biggest" game they've ever made is a critical flop surpassing sonic. Moreover, it's been two weeks since launch and EA hasn't said a word of it being a success like they regularly do with games like Battlefield or other EA titles - I predict this game is also a commercial flop.
I wonder if Bioware is going to be dissolved, if they do I won't be losing sleep tbqh.

In Flynn's statement earlier today he mentioned millions of people that have joined them on this journey. So its safe to say the game atleast sold 2 million copies thus far. Its been top in UK two weeks in a row. We'll see. I think the game will do financially well, and the reputation of the game also comes down to patches and DLC added later on.
I know you get some sort of enjoyment in Bioware taking this blow, and that is fine, Dutch. You do you as they say. I find it kind of sad, because i really like Bioware. Then again this is a chance for them to recognize where they went wrong the last few years and make a comeback stronger than ever. Yes i am hopeful optimistic person, cliche right?

To be honest, I don't often trust game reviews.
1) Reviewers have a deadline to finish and review the game, and so their mindset will be a bit different from how someone playing the game at home will think.
2) If it's a company's review (eg: IGN), I don't trust it because it's only 1 person out of hundreds in 1 company. 1 person's opinion shouldn't be addressed as the opinion of the whole group.

It's better saying millions than hundreds of thousands. EA isn't gushing over it's success like it does with battlefield, typically when EA does gush over a games success like plants vs zombies 2 they mention it being a success in a weeks time. |

I don't think the series or Bioware will get killed off, but I expect that MEA2 will be very different. Maybe they'll abandon open-world completely since it hasn't worked out well for them.

I judge for myself and with info I get from a few youtubers that I watch, and twitch streams that I watch when looking for info on new games. With that said 74 isn't a bad score thats well above average I don't see a problem here. |
