As far as critic scores it will probably be late eighties to low nineties. With user scores the hurr durr brigade will be out in full force review bombing out of spite. It will probably score in the 70s. sorry but you're delusional. No way in hell this game will get a high 80's to low 90's metascore. Professional critic previews have assured us it wont because theyre all critical to the point that this is the first time ive witnessed a bioware game being that shat on by critics before reviews. Just look at PC gamer and Giant Bomb. Even IGN isnt feeling it and they're always shilling bioware by giving them highscores. Its quite literally unprecedented. I think you're delusional for basing your opinion on what you may have played in the trial (did you play the game?) and thinking it can't improve (it's a massive RPG, 10 hours is nothing): if you had talked to people who are reviewing it (I have, albeit only 2 outlet's reviewers): then you would know that the story especially gets much better further down the track (in their opinion, anyways), as does the RPG systems as they expand. I'm thinking low 80s MC, if it's in the 70s I'd be surprised as fuck from the feedback I've gotten, seriously.

A lot of people thinking it's gonna get high 80s or low 90s, is gonna be eating some serious crow on Monday. One thing's for sure, we're sure going to see a lot of "Critics opinions don't matter. It's MY opinion that counts!" Which I guess is true anyway. If there's one positive you could take away from this, is that this might be a huge reality check to Bioware. They've been enjoying the luxury of getting their games in the 80s and low 90s for a very long time. That's probably part of why they thought they could get away with the game looking like ass with it's animations and bugs. If the game reviews are mediocre and sales are disappointing as a result, then one of the possible effects from that is that Bioware (at least their Edmonton studio), will take this shit a lot more seriously. I remember the drones back on the old bsn telling me how personal opinions don't matter because DAI got a metascore of 89 and won so "many" goty awards.

It's going to depend heavily on how much reviewers will let all this pre-release animation drama cloud their judgement. It could well end up like it did for The Order where hating on it simply became the cool thing to do and most reviewers just jumped on the bandwagon and gave it unfairly low scores. Then again, The Order was a new IP so I don't think that MEA will necessarily be treated the same way which is why I went with 80-84.

That'd be a great accomplishment I'd say it'll get around 80. I'd like to be wrong and that it'd reach high 80s, but even if the game turns out better in terms of open world structure, story and character's writing (which I don't have a full opinion on the earlier part in any case), the problems with animations and glitches/bugs will lower its score.

I doubt it will be below 80. There is just too much content in there to go below that. Anything above though, that depends on how the story will hold up. When is the review embargo up though? Wasn't there some news today of change in some timings?

I'm expecting between 75-85, between there, think most reviews will give it about 7s, maybe 8s or a yes from kotaku if they still do that shit, it all depends if the positives outweigh the negatives, seen it happen for a lot of games.

Wasn't there some news today of change in some timings? No, the review embargo wasn't changed, which I'm thankful of. A delay wouldn't have been a smart move. Thet changed something in regards of steaming. People with review codes can stream, don't know if from today or tomorrow, later parts of the game. It was probably a move to counter some of the criticism to side quests/open world mechanics, story and character writing.

High 70's. No way it's getting into high 80's or early 90's when the reviewers are off playing Breath of the Wild, Horizon and Nier Automata. A guy who just gave a 10 to Zelda won't give ME:A a 9 when he was unimpressed by the first 10 hours (also, stop repeating the "10 hours is not much time" thing).
ME:A has hilarious bugs and is a functional TPP shooter. I don't know much about the story, but even during the prologue there are obvious objective storytelling shortcomings.
It will be high 70's and not mid-70's because press always is forgiving to big studios. It will be called "divisive". Search for that word in the reviews.

Fallout 4 is full of huge flaws, bad facial animations, bugs and glitches. I think MEA will surpass F4 in every aspect. My guess is :

Like most games at the moment I think the fan and critic meta-score will be be very lopsided. Not to the point of Mass Effect 3, but I can see the critic score in the mid to high 80's where as the fan reception will be in the low 70's.
Mass Effect has big shoes to fill after 5 years and critics are often more forgiving then then the fans.

After some rumination and thought. The game is eh with loads of visible problems. I think the final metascore will be 70-74. It will add more fuel to the fire. I don't know and I don't give a flying rat's ass about a god damn Metacritic score which IMHO is a load of bullshit. The people who are like ME:A will like it, and those that don't like ME:A won't. So in the end Metacritic scores don't matter to most people, and really only to those who want use it as bludgeon in debates on if the game (or any other media) is "good" or not. Or they will be used to attack critics who didn't like the game as much as "hardcore" fanboys do. Just like what Zelda fanatics did to Jim Sterling who gave The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild a 7 out of 10 which lowered the Metascore by ONE FUCKING POINT and it's still has a very good score. As I'm concerned all Metacritic scores can fuck off.

Put 5 credits on 85, if for no reason than that is where Dragon Age: Inquisition is currently at.
I think it is probably going to end up having a similar reception. Some people will love it, some will hate it, with the overall consensus being that it's a good (but not great) game with some fairly big flaws.

Bioware is playing it safe for now, and I honestly don't blame them for it. So the games will not be ground breaking for a while. AltHough they don't have to be really...

Sadly seems like a lot of people assume that's anything below 9 is just good, and below 8 is mediocre... Jim Sterling talks about that in one of his videos. If he gives a game an 8 he gets hate mail for supposedly having trashed the sender's favorite game.

Despite its flaws, from everything I've seen, this game looks like it may be my favorite

If we are looking at the highest score then Inquisition(PS4) is 89 on metacritic. I think the problem with this game is gonna be that its gonna be rated lower than Inquisition just because all the shit storm but its still gonna be a better game than Inquisition.
