I'm thinking 80-84, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's 75-79. More difficult would be predicting the user's metascore. Probably in the 50s. Maybe 40s. At worst it'll go in the 60, if there aren't any platform specific problems. Even DAI got 70 on PS4 as used score. Yeah, but ME3 was in the 50s. And this is largely the same audience, who feel they've been burned before. They'll be just as vehement this time, if not more so.

I would have thought the same, but I'm uneasy about the over-reactive response to the game's flaws so far. I think they'll be hit hard. Won't be long now until we know!

Yeah Witcher 3 is fantastic. Still playing today, but it is an exception. I know it could be a decade until another game matches or surpasses it. If I got hung up on every game being not as good I wouldn't be playing games anymore. In my ideal world every game is as good as Witcher 3, but reality doesn't work that way. Besides The Witcher 3 has flaws, I enjoyed the game but I feel it wasn't the best ever. He didn't say that it was tho. And yes every game has flaws, TW3 has fewer than most. In my opinion it is the best recent game, you'd have to go back to Fallout New Vegas to find a game I enjoyed as much. And that was what 6+ years ago now, so that decade wait is a stretch but might not be too far off. System Shock 2 is the best ever!

I'm actually happy there are so many complaints and possible bad reviews now polarizing the fan base. It'll suck for sales at first but It lowers the hype...at least for me a little. Which means I'll end up being pleasantly surprised because I have lower expectations. I'm just glad we finally get to explore again and with a rover. I'm guessing 75-79. I'm thinking it will be on par with Dragon Age Inquisition overall (Better and worse in some cases) but the gaming community has higher standards now thanks to competition. I doubt all those people who say they're not going to buy the game actually mean it. They just like to talk trash on the internet because it makes them feel important.

lol I don't know about the final critic score or user score on metacritic but I can sure say how the user score is going to start 0 "Absolutely garbage. This horse shit of a game should never have been made" 0 "This is what happens when you let racist developers make your games" 0 "Rip bioware. The new EAware is trash" 0 "This game look like made in 2005" Metacritic should really not allow user reviews to be posted atleast some time after game is launched. lol I don't know if I find it funny, pathetic, or both. Sadly you are right and that is an indictment on at least a portion of the gaming community. I bet most of those morons won't even play the game and just review bomb it out of spite.

I'll be happy if it's 80+, and will consider that a monumental success considering this somewhat wayward leadup to release. It's going to be a wild ride, that's for sure: buckle up fam....shit's about to get hectic.

I doubt all those people who say they're not going to buy the game actually mean it. They just like to talk trash on the internet because it makes them feel important.
You have probably different profile on people claiming that. Probably also -- not going to buy -- can have different meanning. Some could be still angry about ME3 Some could not be convinced by Andromeda, or think it dont Worth 60 dollars. You could have also political/ideological reasons or anything else. I agree, a guy who post on this forum to say ; I dont like mass effect, I never played it and will not buy it, is highly suspect. What is important for a company like bioware is when customers will buy the game. Players who says I will not buy before to have a correct game is far more credible. A personn who have a grievance, have just to delay the purchase. Game success or failure will probably be measured in the first sell month, first 3 months at max. Last, delaying purchase could lead to a more advantageous price. It is not so usefull to play andromeda immediatly, remember 5 years have past since me3... a few month less or more. And at the end it is now spring in the north hemisphere where most ME customers live. If the game had been release in december for christmas, with long winter month to expect, waiting would have been more problematic.

Lets face it this is going to be bad no matter what. If it gets good reviews people care going to go after the outlets calling them shills and so on. If it gets bad reviews then we will get that vocal minority shouting how they were right all along. "There is no victory, only the battle. And the best that you could hope for is that you find some place where you can make your stand."

HOLY FUCK I WAS FUCKING RIGHT YET AGAIN!!!!!! Why I am always blessed with being right? Why am I always blessed for btfo'd all the drones here? you are not, at least at this time. 70 -74 is close but at this time you are wrong.
What is more strange is you seems happy. What kind of player can be happy to not have an excellent game to play ?

Average metascore for all three platform is 74. I predicted 70-74, it's likely going to decrease further. I was right. I'm still going to buy the game I think. I like the mp. I'll shit on the writing here when I finished it.

It above 75 and it slighly up, but it is not really the question, it can change.
The strange thing like said, is more you have difficulties to hide your satisfaction, prophetising bioware death, end of mass effect licence ect ... It is not really showing your most glorious side ; openly take satisfaction on others misfortune. It is rather here you seems wrong imo.

Was 73, now 75 and may go up or down. Lets assume it goes up - I'll still be a bit wrong as I thought 80-85.
I'm not particularly surprised by 70s though. Its 60s I'd have been shocked. Some giving it 60, 65, etc? Sure, of course. Average? Oh god, I would actually believe the series is dead.
I don't think its dead with 70s and good enough sales. It is, however, up for a transformation to either something even worse (stupid MP-only cash in as the series languishes?) or better (kick in the pants to Bioware Montreal to fix MEA up, do quality DLC, and release a fantastic game within a few years).

I think a think they might do is take a step back on the open world thing. It doesn't seem they're capable of implementing it without running in some problems.

I hope the next Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and even New IP (in terms of making only adjustments) tries instead to use the engine for purpose of more internal environments, city locations, smaller open areas, etc. At the very least, these large areas to just run around in, doesn't work. That said, it can work. In a reasonable framework. One that doesn't go 'okay we'll make this large beautiful area to show in screenshots and trailers... oh yeah, it needs quests'.

Failing the open world 2 games in a row should give EA some hints. Rumor is though that before Skyrim did so well the third Dragon Age game was actually multiplayer only. Skyrim changed a lot, showing that a single player RPG could sell 20 million copies. EA wanted to do something similiar, its not working out. Bioware is at their strongest when they focus on the narrative and don't get bogged down in huge open worlds. We'll see what kind of future it holds for Bioware and the franchise.

The can definitely find a compromise between their previous approach and the new one. Another problems is that they made a huge number of characters, and they seems to have gone for quantity over quality overall.

Either they go full multiplayer (and give up ground to other companies doing AAA RPGs ha! enjoy, SE, Red, etc!) or they go more RPG to recapture what they've been losing. If the former, whatever, bye. If the latter, maybe this is a good outcome in longer run.
