Nooo, I'd rather they shoot us down than string us along if they've got nothing they want to share. Now, if they actually have something for us, that's another story.

I'm not even irritated at the Ellis situation. I'm just salty that it's been four years since DAI came out, five years since it was originally slated to come out, and we have.... nothing. No title, no leaked art, plot info, no teaser, nothing. We know vaguely that they're sorta kinda working on it. That's it.

Since this is recently relevant to me... has there ever been an official line on why they made the import choice for DAA? Like, I totally understand allowing players to play as their dead Warden. But it seems an oversight to not allow the option of the Orlesian Warden, while still being able to import your choices -- that is, play as the Orlesian Warden, but import your choices relating to everything else (ruler of Ferelden, etc).

I can even see how this would work out in the UI: after you import, the game detects your Warden is dead and then asks if you want to continue to play as your Warden or play as the Orlesian. They also might have an Orlesian Warden option with default choices (which is what we currently get), that allows someone to jump right into playing without an import.

In addition to allowing the players that courtesy -- which, again, I understand and accept as a reason -- was it ever stated that this was a technical limitation, or they didn't have to time to implement it properly, or something?

I think it was time and technical? I vaguely remember it being said that there was a lot more work required not only to reflect choices for a living Warden but also to reflect them to a new character with the Warden dead. I could be wrong.

I'm just here playing MEA all sad that there likely won't be a part 2 til I'm in my mid-30s if ever.

Hope we get news about DA4 soon. Have a whole backlog of games to tide me over for quite a while but some certainty would be nice.
