Does a VHS BW without passives end up only having one shot left to overheat or is it two? Eh, you are asking the wrong person since I don't pay much attention to stuff like that and honestly have no idea what passives I have selected. It's been a while since I played MEA but I'm pretty sure I would get 2 shots. I normally use Infiltrator profile, if that helps any.

Thanks to all who answered my previous question about the targeting vi! Buckeldemon that idea to make it damage dependent is pretty great! But the only way I could imagine that to work would be pretty complicated to implement... So, I just released a new version of this mod that now includes said targeting vi consumable (and a few other goodies.) /shameless self advertisement

After finishing a Shepard trilogy playthrough, I started an Andromeda one. The Idea was to take over most traits of Annie Shepard to Nevil Ryder. Meaning that he is supposed to be as neutral-evil and murderous as possible, which sadly is not all that much in ME:A. Annie also did not stop for anything not directly related to her main quest, so Ryder will also neglect most all non priority missions. The dice decided that his primary powers will be pull and warp. The third one most likely backlash or maybe lance or throw, completing the Adept profile. Backlash would fit with Annie Shepard's focus on defensive stats, so that is definitely going to see some use. His primary weapon will be a Tempest/Charger. The dice rolled for ricochet system, but I'm not sure if i really want to use that. Nevile's Journey already took him down to Habitat7, where he immediately began to shoot the locals. Hey, he did not know they weren't actualy local! Making his way to the other shuttle as quick as possible, Ryder and Liam did not find the hiding Greer. Instead he later turned up dead in the Kett facility at the Remnant tower. Ryder senior activated the tower and then died. Later the Hyperion flew to the Nexus. After a not-so-warm welcome, especially by Addison, Nevile's squad was joined by Vetra and debarked with the Tempest.

Have never been able to play any game with that degree of callousness.

A question for those currently playing mea or those who've chosen sniper-like builds in the past (or anyone else, too): If there were a Targeting VI consumable available in single player (I.e., Headshot/Weakpoint bonus), would you prefer it to last for a certain amount of time (say, a minute or so) or rather a certain amount of shots (like the 3-magazine sizes that the ammo-consumables last) I usually did not use consumables much, except for the rebalanced Emergengy Life Support you made , but since I used all kinds of rifles from Isharay to Shadow, I guess it would be a good thing balance-wise if the duration could be based on the weapon damage somewhat. Let's say the consumable lasts for 2500 base weapon damage, a (basic) BW could fire 5 shots, an Isharay 4 and a Shadow around 40. Don't know if the game engine even supports that though, I'm just spitballing. Else duration-based might have to do. I'd rather have a specific time frame rather than magazine size because I normally use VHS on my main weapon (which is also normally the Black Widow). I vaguely remember the VHS penalty of 60% ammo. I used to squeeze 4 (or more) shots into a BW magazine and then had the BW replace the Vanquisher, but only used VHS on the Isharay, as there isn't much reason not to. Does a VHS BW without passives end up only having one shot left to overheat or is it two? TBH other than Cobra' s and ammo types I don't use consumables either I tend to sell the others on for extra credits

Ryder landed on Eos, switched on the power in the first failed outpost, and the fought some Kett. He then proceeded to the Remnant towers, where he found Pebee, and fought some Remnant bots. Then some more remnant, some more kett, and finally -after fighting even more Kett, found both Drack and the location of the vault. He is standing in front of the entrance right now. Well, that happened last week. For the better part of this week, I've been loading saves of my second Ryder. Sarah has returned to Havarl, and that helped with testing out the light switch mod for toggling the stupid flashlight. After Nevil entered the first Eos building and his lights turned on, I remembered that i wanted to do this for a loooooong time. There is at least one place on Elaaden that switches the lights on, but never off again. And now I can finally enter there, go out again and toggle the stupid lights myself, without having to return to the Tempest to do that! So now Nevile will explore his first remnant vault. All the while I will probably toggle his lights off and on again, like some stupid, bored child!

It can be damn annoying that damn thing.

Hectic week. But Nevile did explore the remnant vault on Eos, discovering some cool artifacts along the way. (And playing with his lights like a mad child ) He also established an outpost on the planet. It was going to be a militia outpost, but both Vetra and Liam voted for science, so he went with that instead. Then the team went off to see another vault, that they found the coordinate for in the on on Eos. That other vault seems to be different, maybe active. On the way there, they encountered some kett guy with massive ship and superiority complex. Seems he wasn't that superiors, since the Tempest escaped and went exactly where they wanted. On that planet, Aya, another species awaited them with drawn weapons. But the contact went pretty civil, after all. With a new Squadmate, Ryder now ventured to another of their planets, voeld, to gather their trust. And while doing those, I discovered like four different nuisance with the light toggle. At first it suddenly toggles when entering the Nomad. Well, circumvented that. That lead to the lights turning on when entering conversations. Fixed that. Next it turnes on when picking up minerals So I went back to the initial variant, and then turn the Lights off when inside the Nomad. Since I can't figure out why it toggles when entering or how to suppress that. So most of the week's playtime was actually bugfixing and loading random saves to test out a myriad ways for that. Fun fact: Andromeda has a hell of a lot of different input ' intent' triggers, and checks available - and most of them probably come from battlefield or somesuch and don't actually work.

So, Ryder landed on Voeld and rescued some angaran from some sort of camp. The leading hostage stated that he had some very important intel on the Kett's main facility in the area, and asked Ryder to deliver it to someone else, while he returned to the resistance commander. Ryder promised to do that - and then talked to Evfra instead. Together with Jaal, he convinced Evfra that it was now time to rescue the Moshae, whoever that is. So, of it went to the other side of the planet, infiltrating a large kett base. After the team found out that the Kett were transforming captive angara into other kett, Ryder blew up the facility. And rescued the Moshae.
Landing on Aya again, Jaal joined the Tempest for good. The team also learned that a former resistance member helped the kett. The traitor is located on Kadara, where apparently Nexus exiles have made their home, too.

Well done "Little Duck" I have a bad habit of stumbling upon places I don’t have a quest marker for yet. Like there’s an extra vault on Eos, it’s door wasn’t locked so I went in and scanned some stuff. Wasn’t til I looked it up til I realized I have to follow some clues to get there. Whoops.

That's half the fun of playing games, although I do prefer it when games reward you for going there out of order rather than make you have to revisit it. I like the mission you are talking about, few of those quests are a bit painful but they hit the right emotional note for the whole exploring theme. That Bain Massani thing can be a bit buggy if you do it wrong, did you get to talk to him at the end? MEA has lots of things you have to go out of your way to find, one of the more difficult ones is for a Fusion MOD on Havarl the Fusion MOD of Adrenaline which is well worth the while. Another is an unmarked vault on Elaaden where you can pickup an extra Data Core to help with getting the 9 you need to collect. It has an out of the way storage room on Khi Tisara that has a Dragon Age Easter egg that leads to another Easter Egg you can scan in that system.

One of the bases Bain pointed out glitched and wouldn’t spawn one of the enemies and so it couldn’t finish the fight; when I ran away and came back they all respawned. Luckily Bain counted all the bases when I went to talk to him.

Had a mod go rogue on me in Voeld.
Lost control of the nomad, I got ejected and it shot itself up a mountain and just kept driving. So I went to a forward station, saved and reloaded, and called the nomad. It shot like a bat out of hell and smashed itself into an iceblock. Had to remove the mods because I’m not walking around Voeld, and I’m not chasing after Christine, haha.

I actually have no idea when I downloaded or where it came from. It was called Max Speed 200, and I don’t recall it being in my list until after I crafted a better boost add-on. It must have been in one of the packs, and I didn’t notice, lol. It was a sight to see though.

just got started on a new playthrough today Here's Serenity Sara Ryder (I have her as Ryder in-game since their first name is hardly spoken anyway so what's the point ) her brother for this playthrough I nickname Endymion (as a shameless mythology/Sailor moon reference)
had her start out with Leader profile (aka. Sentinel) but not sure yet how I'll built her
at present I've just gotten clear of the prologue, and arrived on the Nexus
Serenity took a peaceful approach on the Kett, found Greer and pretty much explored everywhere

If you enter that vault without the quest part done first, it doesn't work right - enemies and the final terminal are both missing. You will have to go back with the quest active for everything to load properly.

Wow she's very pretty, love the hair. I actually named all my Sara's, "Sara" after realising the game calls her that, even if it is only a few times. Sentinel is my favourite profile. I am just finishing the book "Endymion" by Dan Simmons!!!!

I am just finishing the book "Endymion" by Dan Simmons!!!! thanks , it's just a bit vexing several npc's also share the style...among who Addison (who somehow looks really nice in it as well) tried to use a style swap on Addison, but it didn't work out for some reason Edit: got it to work after all...turns out I hadn't loaded the swap into the load order...ah well
I might just go back and have this character be named Sara as well...and only use her nickname as her head canon name...haven't decided yet
what's funny is that the mythological Endymion is a character who sleeps pretty much all the time (due to being cursed with eternal sleep)...just like how the comatose sibling spends 90% of their time in the game

just got started on a new playthrough today Here's Serenity Sara Ryder (I have her as Ryder in-game since their first name is hardly spoken anyway so what's the point ) her brother for this playthrough I nickname Endymion (as a shameless mythology/Sailor moon reference)
had her start out with Leader profile (aka. Sentinel) but not sure yet how I'll built her
at present I've just gotten clear of the prologue, and arrived on the Nexus

Sentinel whilst not very good on the trilogy unless you like playing a moer defensiv eShepard but it makes for a fantastic profile in Andromeda due to it's all round capabilities. Hoping to star ta nwe run myself in the next day or 2 as I'm planning to wrap up on ME3 today. So I plan to try MEA on my new computer next I won't be using any mosd on this playthroughas I just wantto see how it performs first then mod it later when I next play it. At least that's the plan.
