Morrigan easily. She's the most interesting and dynamic romance for a male Warden. Leiliena is fine in DAO even if a bit strange at times. But I think she gets weaker as a character in DA2 and DAO. Where as I love the development Morrigan received by DAI. I really liked how fondly she spoke of her Warden and how attached she is to her child. She's a ballsy Divine, she declared, that fuck the celibacy, and live happily with her love ever after. |

I prefer Alistair romance because his behaviour during the earlier romance stages is both shy and adorable. If you put him into a party with Leliana, he'll begin asking her for advice on how to go about romancing a girl in one of those background conversations, which always gives me lots of snickers. He's just slightly awkward and very sweet about it. It's difficult not to be touched when he brings you that flower. ♥
I don't mind that he's sensitive towards teasing. I hate being made fun of too. I'm pretty sure he gets picked on and called dumb by everyone a little too often and not always deserved. So, why should he have to be on guard that someone close to his heart would say such a thing to him too?
If I were to rate the rest, I'd pick Zevran and then Morrigan. As for Leliana, I still haven't developed the curiosity to romance her (although my wicked dwarf seduced her into foursome with Issy and Zevran). Too much Andraste. Sorry Leli, but I'm possessive. There can't be 3 of us in a duo!

My canon pairing is f!Cousland/Alistair, but I also have the Polygamey mod so I can romance Zevran at the same time. ♥ I ended up headcanoning that Christina & Alistair have a semi-threesome going with Zev, and it is glorious.  |

Someday, I'd like to romance Morrigan for the story implications. Someday, I'd like to romance Leliana. But some crappy assassin with surfer-bro hair keeps sweeping my wardens off their feet. I can't even do an Ultimate Sacrifice ending because this stupid Crow's stupid feelings are making me the Warden feel feelings, and as soon as Morrigan pulls the "you'll make Zevran sad" card, I they fold. This incompetent chucklehead can't even pick locks, and yet somehow my heart leaps every time I... errrr, I mean the protagonist gets those letters in Awakening and Inquisition. It's a problem. This made me laugh and cry because it sounds like every Origins experience I have ever had. STUPID SEXY ZEVRAN.  |

Shame there isn't a "none" option.
Alistair used to be my canon romance, but I've grown out of it for reasons I won't get into in this thread. My new canon Warden is a guy. My male characters are gay because I personally like men. I don't care for Zevran, so there is no one in DAO I want to romance. I know there is a mod for Ser Gilmore. While I do like him, and admit he would have been a fun character to have as a follower and romance, I don't like to use mods for such things.

Leliana, but kinda disgust me in 2 and Inquisition, and no, it's not because her coldness, her role is just pathetic and there is something about her i don't know what, that gets me.
I probably let the romance but i'm thinking to turn it off and just make my warden single.

Leliana's been creeping higher and higher up my list, too. Which is funny because initially she was my least favorite Origins LI. But I'm romancing Zevran on my current run, and I find myself tempted to start over and make an Aeducan girl just for her even though I love Zev to bits.  |

Morrigan. Leliana is cute and sweet and loving and caring... and it just doesn't work for me. Give me a strong, independent woman, with just a hint of vulnerability or self doubt. A woman who doesn't need a man, but has found one she wants despite herself.

I'm actually really impressed Zev is coming second in this poll. Normally when these spring up (at least back on the old forums) he was always dead last. Glad he's more appreciated these days  It shows just how much she has been changed by getting away from Flemeth and spending time with the Hero of Ferelden. Change is the nature of Drama. |
