Dragon's Dogma has fully customizable characters (even height and weight sliders) and yes, does have cut scenes, and yes, DOES have amazing and adorable and bad ass hairs (including several pig tails, yes, SEVERAL) and a few of the hairs even have hair physics.
BW just sucks at doing hair, full stop.

Bioware and good hair don't mix. And *phew* you lot talk ALOT. That was a good few pages to read through. Think I'll need to lay down now...

BW just sucks at doing hair, full stop. True. Too true. But, even if BW wanted to address the issue and give us hair options people would actually want, I still doubt we'll ever get the awesome level of hair of those single, fixed protagonist games. Particularly given the lack of resources spent on, oh, getting the animations right for the dwarven IQs. Still. Like Tish also said, there are lots of hair models they could give us that need less hair physics. And I'd gladly sacrifice virtually EVERY eyebrow model they created for DA:I. That sh!t was scary.

You guys saw this? Finally, some almost DA4 news. www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-09-12-sunless-sea-writer-signs-up-for-new-bioware-project"Alexis Kennedy, lead writer of the excellent role-player Sunless Sea, has signed up to work with BioWare on a certain unannounced project. "Kennedy, who co-founded Fallen London and Sunless Sea studio Failbetter Games, is no stranger to BioWare, having also written Dragon Age spin-off The Last Court. "And it looks like Kennedy is staying within the Dragon Age universe for this next project, too. " While the game remains unannounced, Kennedy has announced he will be working with Dragon Age mastermind Mike Laidlaw and Dragon Age lead writer Patrick Weekes. "(BioWare's next announced games are Mass Effect: Andromeda, which is in the final stages of production, and a new IP which also remains under wraps but has already been in development for a couple of years and does not have either Laidlaw or Weekes attached. It's safe to assume it's neither of these)." I must say I'm encouraged by this. I really loved The Last Court.

I'd be happy at least if Bioware stopped taking their hair cues from the 80s... we had some serious mullets in DAI.

I'd be happy at least if Bioware stopped taking their hair cues from the 80s... we had some serious mullets in DAI. It really feels like whoever designed hairstyles isn't person who knows what kind of hairstyles look good and what kind of hairstyles people like. Maybe they just grapped someone who designed environments and pushed him/her to hair. It doesn't seem like someone who is interested in hairstyles designed those at least. Besides of bad texture quality with hairs, the hairstyles themselves were just dull and even ill-fitting to head at times. Maybe BW and other gaming companies should start recruiting modders as CC designers.

Where it gets really mean is when other characters have unique hairstyles that look really nice and players aren't allowed to have it. I don't care if it clips! I'll make it work!

One of my deep dark secrets is that my mother had that done to my hair once when I was about 6 (don't remember the occasion now...) Of course, the Texas political humorist, Molly Ivins, used to describe it as it looked as if you jumped off a 20 story building and hairsprayed it on the way down, if I recall correctly.

Are we talking about The Last Court card game? Um, I dunno if I'd call it a card game. But it was that online almost Choose Your Own Adventure game before DA:I came out, that you could access through DA Keep. And it has some fun elements. And, like, some reeeaaallly important stuff. LOL In looking for that in my files, I ran across this: failbettergames.tumblr.com/post/102441720784(also note, as I did not at the time, that this graphic is from the failbettergames official tumblr. LOL! So yeah, they understand us. )

Yeah, I don't know if I explored everything either, altho I did get the Divine's blessing, I think on my first (strangely perfect) playthrough. I just loved all the little details, like Carver showing up, Morrigan. I wish they'd had more tie ins via the Serrault war table quests.

I'd have liked to have seen more tie-ins to Serault in DAI as well, between the intrigue and quirky characters from Last Court, they could have gotten a really nice war table chain out of it.
Wasn't Morrigan's new Eluvian either acquired or repaired in Serault? Could have been worthy of a mention in the game proper, as the Inquisitor doesn't bother to ask where she happened to find it, something I definitely would have if I met someone with a magic mirror.
Inquisitor: Morrigan, I was wondering...? Morrigan: Wherever did I acquire such a strange and rare item? Inquisitor: Well yes, that too. But mostly I wondered how did you get that giant mirror through such a tiny door?
