Damn, Mello's work was already lovely, but it's amazing how much she's improved!

God damnit Solas! I forgot he locks you in after he breaks your fucking heart There goes my plan to mend my Inquisitors heart with some Cullen snuggles.

I was planning on playing out a headcanon I had going on for a while, but I guess that's not going to happen. I did a Solas romance before, but totally forgot about the locking in.

For all the talk about having the IQ show up for a small role in DA4, my bet is that most closure will happen off screen. Even if the IQ shows up like Hawke did... there will be some serious dissonance in how the IQ acts when Bioware-controlled. And, like Artemis mentioned, the romances themselves will be mentioned but ultimately shafted. Even if the IQ is part of the effort to stop Solas... I bet the closest Lavellan will get to closure is to ride off into the sunset with a defeated Solas to have her closure conversation (and*cough*cough*make-up sex*cough*cough*) off screen. 

So, frankly, I'm bracing myself for extreme disappointment in the closure arena. Which is why my headcanon is that Del Lavellan still ended up with Cullen during those two years. Which would have made Trespasser veeerrrry very interesting. But, it's just still felt too painful to actually write yet.

Right. I agree. I would want to have at the very least a Cullen scene (Cause you just can't get enough of that guy  ) I don't know how this could be handled, unless they say that the romances got their spotlight in the main game? It would still piss people off, I know I wouldn't be happy.

About the Well ... I'm just really hoping they'll do something with it. I mean imagine a Inquisitor under Solas's spell, ohh the drama. Unless he got something else from Flemeth, who knows at this point.

That's a huge debate in the Iron Bull thread; some think it was well-handled, others don't...

Personally, I do think it is a reasonable and shocking result of the decision you made regarding the Chargers. But I think it added salt to the wound of Bullmancers. Other characters get to get married; when we bring it up with Bull it's a big fucking joke (like half the romantic content tends to be, and find me a Bullmancer who actually enjoyed the fact that their romance is kind of a huge joke. Keep in mind a lot of people ended up with Bull because they didn't like Dorian or Blackwall, so it's not like they had much of a choice.). 

Even in Trespasser, the romances aren't equally handled, and that's freaking frustrating. Nothing can REALLY compare to the showdown that takes place between Solas and an inquisitor who romanced him (which is why I think he should have been available to everyone or no one), but follow that up with a MARRIAGE SCENE for Sera and Cullen, and everything else pales in comparison. Good god, Dorian and the inquisitor aren't even living together anymore.

I know they love to smirk and say "these are our characters, not yours," but it's like, why make us love these romances so much then treat us so badly with them? It's frustrating.
