Guess who makes an appearance in the latest episode of Kirkwall Coffee? Yess! I looove Cassandra's modern look, so goth and tough looking I especially love her leather jacket and dark makeup.

I think the importance of Cassandra's lipstick is underappreciated. See this? That is Cassandra's lipstick stopping her from looking like Krem.

Yea, it figures that my prefered romance options typically get the short end of the stick regarding the amount of content. Ashley got shafted in ways words fail to describe, so I bounced around ME looking for a new one, only to unfortunetly end up with Liara by default, simply because every other prefered option also eventually gets shafted. I swear, the characters that get the most romance content are always the characters I either hate with a passion, or just don't give a rip about. Liara at least is not unlikeable. But thank The Maker for Cassandra...the ultimate bae. No matter how badly she deserved more screen time, what we got was perfect.

Does anyone feel that Cassandra's romance has very little content? It actually has a ton of flirts but the fact she disregards them all (until suddenly she jumps your bones) makes the romance feel rather sudden when it begins, ya. One needs a kiss scene before the bang scene, and not combine the two

Just couldn't take it seriously. Anyways this romance is mostly weird to me.

It actually has a ton of flirts but the fact she disregards them all (until suddenly she jumps your bones) makes the romance feel rather sudden when it begins, ya. One needs a kiss scene before the bang scene, and not combine the two The answer for this behavior is actually very obvious. Cassandra does not believe she is worthy of romantic attention. Her self esteem in this area is extreamly low. As she said, shes only been with 1 man her entire life until this point, and shes almost 40. She dismisses the flirting because, obviously, you cannot be serious about them. You are flirting with ME. I am a lowly worm in the dirt, while you are the Inquisitor. Someone like you should have a buxom goddess at your side, as only they are worthy of your attention. You have to remember, Cassandra is The Believer. She truly believes you are Chosen, that you are truly The Herald. When she finally confronts you about the flirting, she makes it clear she is utterly confused about it, declaring it in the form of a question. "The...flirting. I've...noticed it? Unless it's my imagination, which is entirely possible." She is confused, because the idea of almighty you, actually flirting with lowly, unworthy her, is utterly ridiculous to her. She refuses to believe you are serious, she thinks you are teasing her. She is so deathly afraid of being romanticly rejected she tries desperelty to shut it down and push away. She gets "mad" and tells you how she cannot be courted, how the entire notion is ludicris and your energy is better spent elsewhere. You tell her you are serious, and she gets super flustered and storms off proclaiming this entire idea is terrible. She slams the doors, most likely totally SQUEES loudly to herself internally and recomposes herself before coming back out with her expectations. Even at that point, she still does not really believe you'll return with those items, because you are far too important to be bothering with that. It's only when she sees for herself, that you actually went and got everything she requested, does she finally believe it. This all makes total sense to me. Cassandra is not a girly girl. Shes not gonna give you that cliche kissing scene with her leg tipped back. If you want that thats what Princess Josephine is for. Long story short, Cassandra was pretty much obsessed with you from the start from a faith point of view. Shes simply not gonna express this, because it's unbecoming and inappropriate. It's all on you, weather or not you reciprocate. ironically, shes a lot like Liara intitally. Shes facinated and obsessed about you for none romantic reasons at first. Over time those feelings mutate into something deeper, and it's up to you weather or not you feel the same way. But unlike Liara, Cassandra sees herself as beneth you, not to mention is far more "Duty" focused during "work hours". It is also no great stretch to say her sappy romantic side is something she is not overly proud of, hence why she hides the fact she reads Varric trashy books. She never wants to look weak, and to her it is a weakness she enjoys deeply.

Have you already picked the option " I know now why you are alone " ( or something like that ) instead of trying to appeal to her ideal ? She has very high expectations, she is self righteous, she knows it and admits it herself. She knows what she wants, and she wants the ideal or nothing at all regardless of what might think the inquisitor even if he is romantically interested. Let's do it my way and that's it. She thinks it isn't worth it to plan anything between them as long as the inquisitor hasn't given her what she wants, her ideal. If you plan to break with her before the scene with the poetry, you start with " can we talk about us " ? and she imediately answers : " Us ? There is no us inquisitor " making her point clear that as long as you haven't accomplished what she wants, there won't be anything between them. That doesn't give me at all the feeling that she has low self esteem, even if she admires the inquisitor.

That still doesn't explain why she went 0-60 or defend my preference to A hold hands (get used to being I. Someone's space) Kiss First (again getting used to being in someone's space), flirt more (foreplay) then have sex with someone.
Her jumping you can literally be the first time she touches you in the entire game.
Also, the way you described it sounds like she has low self esteem which is a bit of a bummer

That doesn't give me at all the feeling that she has low self esteem, even if she admires the inquisitor. I'm sorry, but people with low self esteem can come across as exactly that, in desperate attempts to avoid having their feelings hurt. Trust me. "There is no us" is a skin deep comment, it is her using a facade of bluster to hide any potential disappointment. Yes, she is a sappy romantic, and wants all the sappy romantic things. That is hardly unreasonable for anyone who is serious about wanting to be with her. Cassandra is very a very traditional woman. It is the mans job to woo and court the woman. You don't have to like that, and thats fine. But that is hardly by any measure unreasonable. Cassandra is a very confident individual, she knows what she wants and expects to get it. But she is also in a lot of ways a contradiction, because she is afraid of being rejected, which is why she constantly insists nothing exists until she sees it for herself. She cannot let herself believe it is real until it is. There is nothing wrong with this, because we as people are all contradictory about something, wether we want to admit it or not. You are of course free to continue to view her as a cold arrogant woman who does not care at all and is doing you a favor by allowing you to date her if you go meet her completely unreasonable expections. You are well withing your rights to see anyone however you want. But if THAT is what you took away from Cassandra Pentaghast...then in my opinion, you didn't learn a thing about her.
