So, is most of this romance just arguing with Cass about you actually liking her? It was cute and funny at first, but now I'm getting grumpy.

Huh... now you mention it, the Inquisitor teasing her about how much they dig her, does crop up a fair bit in their banter. Never registered that before, although prolly because I have a tendency to flirt in the exact same way?

Maybe the first time, because it can crop up at a surprising time, but past the second time, it just comes off as if they don't like you and want you to go away. And that's my female perspective. I've never played romantic games. I like you- here's my number. Don't like me, don't call it. Walk away.

Cassandra isn't really used to that kind of interest from someone.
As a Seeker, her line of work puts her in authority to most of the people she deals with on a regular basis, who often are predisposed to disliking her on principle since she's often investigating them. Any dalliances could lead to her being accused of failing to maintain professional distance or being corrupt, should she (unwittingly) overlook some wrongdoing a person she was involved with.
As Cassandra herself admits, she's often brash and quick to anger, qualities that many find off-putting more than attractive. Neither is she traditionally feminine in the same manner as Josephine or Leliana, both in the Winter Palace and if she becomes Divine, she comments on feeling far more comfortable in armour than fanciful clothing.
Even with all that aside, she confirms in the romance it's been around 20 year since she her brief fling with Regalyan, who was the only man she's even been involved with prior. It's safe to say that she's a tad rusty when it comes to the dating game and naturally assumes that she's misreading signals whenever the Inquisitor shows interest in her.

I've been ruminating over an interesting moment in the romance scene with Cass. She says, "I know you don't believe in the Maker, and that you don't believe you're the Herald of Andraste. But I do believe."
And how does that reflect on Cass. Not badly, just a bit odd. You essentially are sleeping with your Diety's Chosen One. How does that work with the way she thinks about her religion.

But the Herald of Andraste not a saint, or something similar, just anyone who able to help. So, maybe she was flattered, that the Cosen One chosed her, but I do not think that bothered her.

Cass does have the best of the three repeatable romance scenes I've tried so far. Cullen's always had my gal all shocked and wide armed-- cute the first time, weird anytime after. And Blackwall kiss scene involves this awakward posing thing.

Then I thought about it more and recognized the patterns. It's of course that she's not used to it, but she handles Bull's advances like a pro compared to your own. She wasn't at all shaken and didn't seem at all annoyed by that, but is completely unprepared for yours, and doesn't play it cool at all. Partially because at first you're a hero yes, but you're still new to her and unknown. Once it's clear what character you have, it's different for her, especially since you relate to something that is spiritually important to her, and to what makes Cassandra Cassandra.

Maybe it's just how I look at it with my Inquisitor, but I kind of take it that he enjoys throwing bad jokes and puns at her just to see her roll her eyes and *disgusted noise* at it. Also, Merela, those are some gorgeous works! Just a question though--is that supposed to be a Cadash Inquisitor? Because if so, I thought dwarves were unable to have children with humans...

Where does the lore say that? We know they can, since it can happen between Morrigan and a Dwarf HoF.

From what I remember, in the Dark Ritual, the baby was the Old God, and the HOF or male Warden is just sort of the deliverer of that soul.
Looking at the DA wiki, it looks like I was wrong, it is technically possible--however, fertility in dwarves is very low, even when it's two dwarves, and trying with another species lowers it even further.

Well, there is a reason why both Fjal' and Cass call their son their "Little Miracle". They just got lucky.

Being aware that Cass breaks it off with Inky if she becomes Divine, I didn't intend her to become one with my elfy elf Quiz.
I feel like the worst boyfriend for not supporting her on that. I've been having to be real non committal on all the discussions regarding it. It feels awkward.
How did you guys handle it or head canon it?

I haven't seen that dialogue option. I wonder if being non committal lost it to me or of I just haven't had that discussion yet.

Gaider did confirm that Half-Dwarves do exist in the lore (taller than dwarves, shorter than humans), but they're incredibly rare due to the low dwarven fertility rates and the myriad of social taboos about procreating with other races.

Straight female playing a straight male Dalish romancing Cassandra Impressions: The Lead Up: At first funny and cute, they carried her assumption that I was just screwing with her and not actually interested too long. It got annoying. Then she says she wants to be properly courted. That mini fetch quest was cute. I wish there had been a bit more explanation for why she'd jump you just for throwing her a romantic picnic after asking that you court her. It was a little fast, as we hadn't done anything prior to this other than hold hands briefly. The Culmination Scene: But the scene itself was excellent. Silly, funny, cute. I also really like that she recognized we had different beliefs and commented on it. I especially like the British man's voice acting during it, made it enjoyable for me. Points taken OFF, however, for having a break up option AFTER the sex while she's still naked beside you. Excuse me. No.The Repeatable Kiss: Best of the 3 I've tried. It feels intimate. Loving. Kinda sparkly. There is one more Official Kiss Scene after the Temple of Mythal that was just alright. But just prior to this, Cass said such an insensitive thing about my Dalish character's religion while there, that I wish there was a break up option. I was pretty peeved. Balcony Scene A bit eh. I like "from behind" embraces like Cullen does. This arm around the waist thing isn't passionate enough for me. Trespasser:I was disappointed and significantly surprised to see that Cass didn't get a romance scene in Trespasser. I mean, I know there is the marriage discussion, but EVERY Inky gets that scene. Was she that unpopular a romance option from base game they didn't see a point? I kind of felt like I was cheating on her by going out with Jose by going to the Opera without her. Then she hunches weird at the very last scene as you look outwards. Amusing she's wearing pink as her default armor. I like Cass, I don't regret doing her romance, but she isn't #1. Thanks for you guys' input/help when I asked questions.
