How is this not worth it? For example: -cold immune enemies: 1 damage -low health enemies -dead enemies! -sometimes it even doesn't hit anything It also doesn't trigger that often. Considering the requirements to get it, it's hands down the worse weapon of the game. Didn't notice anything special on it. Anything like the boost I felt when I've got the Dragon and Hakkon weapons. It's absolutely the same level of Hakkon Honor, slightly better for attack, a lot worse for deffense.

And it procs in 8 to 10 seconds interval max. It can also proc with usage of any ability, defensive ones included.

Brand, Bolt, Rime....why oh why must you be obtained for Crescent. I wish these swords were useful, but they are just amusing to use if you happen to align with an enemy's elemental weakness.

Crescent was a bonus added for the players.
It didnt need to be added.
It had to have some sort of pre-req. So last weapon obtainable makes sense.
Anyone who was around back then knows the limited resources Luke was working with and the shit he inherited.
I for one appreciate the effort.

Um... be nice, please I've played with FMP2013 and they're good, but the circumstance has always been that 1H/Shield characters have always played 2nd fiddle to 2H. Especially early on the grind. I didn't grow to appreciate them until I passed the 300 plus stat mark. I feel their pain (emotes empathy)

Sword and shield warriors sucked the D major until I tried Legionnairing with Lunge & Slash, Shield Bash and Urgency with ~10% health. Take one ability for reliable guard generation and he's the best* warrior in the game.
*Not IMO

I enjoyed playing shield warriors from the start. Maybe it's because I just like playing as a tank so lacking offensive powers/dps doesn't bother me as much. I can somehow relate to FMP2013's disappointment with Crescent. Changing from Bitter's axe(probably the best 1-hander below level 26) to hakkon's honor is a huge upgrade, while from hakkon to Crescent doesn't feel as big a difference as the former, yet it's significantly harder to get than hakkon. I have no doubt that the high damage from its random projectiles is very satisfying and fun when procs, but not everyone would consider it worth the grind of hundreds if not thousands of hours, especially someone who started one year and a half ago and had rarely looted any new items for almost a year.
It's like what Smurf said, Crescent is a bonus. I for one don't believe it's worth all the hours I've spent in DAIMP. I think Luke added it as a reward for those who had been enjoying DAIMP and had kept playing it. It's by no means the sole goal of the game.

Whilst objectively farming large creatures with my assassin, I found myself battling the demon race. And so I says, "Oh, let's smash some 8 legged furry friends!" 800 spiders later yesterday, I've become Fearless. Added a couple hundred large creatures to the sum, but still have 650ish of those left, as I only have so much patience and solitude.

Just finished a Hakkon test run with Necro. So far I have noticed three big differences. First, It's really really sloooow. But it's fine, I'm just too used to my old heart of pride staff. Second is its damage numbers. It's powerful! but also makes me feel the need for high crit chance. Ironic. I waited for this staff for a long time. Now I have it, but I want more crit chance so I have to play rogue agents more often from now on. lol. Oh and third, it's shiny! This staff makes Tevinter ruins map look pretty.

Like Sassa says, you will adjust quickly. And I feel your pain about wanting to raise critical chance, which takes you AWAY from the class you really want to be playing! Thankfully I had no such dilemna with Hakkon's Wrath ;-) Critical chance rings FTW?

I feel ya Witty, however, I think the slower speed of the Hakkon accomodates the Elementalist and Necromancer quite wonderfully. I noticed when I started using the Wisdom that I became more selective about which mobs to hit while Heart of Pride was playing like a Hampster on crack. The speed was great, but the damage is irreplaceable. I also began rogue running to max my crit chance. My stats were even around 120 each, and now I've almost maxed my crit chance and other stats floating around 150-160.
