Bioware: "We have removed the almighty omni button!"
Crowd: "Hurrah!"
Bioware: "You will no longer be dragged into cover while escaping enemies, reviving teammates!"
Crowd: "Hurrah!"
Biowere: "Cover is now automated!"
Crowd: "Um, what?"
Biower: "You will now be automatically dragged into cover!"
Crowd: [heads explode]

Haha. though while true I've found it isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. Lack of reload cancel has bothered me more than this, oddly enough.

It's definitely much better than it used to be, and in low lag games it isn't much more than a tickle to my memory. I've had a few games with lag though where I got sucked back to the same piece of cover like six times in a row. But that's lag for you.

Same, I HATED it the first few hours worth, but now I couldn't go back - because I died sooo much due to the omnibutton in ME3MP.

It's not as sticky as I feared.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think it's an upgrade actually.

It's not as bad as ME3 MP sticky cover. I got so tired of going into cover because running and cover were the same button.

I've grown used to it, but I never thought I would say it but "I miss the old cover system." Auto cover is an overall upgrade, but I miss:
•Opting to use soft cover instead of "hard" cover •Rounding corners •Not having to switch which hand I'm holding my gun with when I approach a doorway from the right
Edit: Don't get me wrong, having a do-everything-button was poor design, but when you spend 5 or so years playing ME3MP, you kind of learn to become one with that button. Except for those times where you don't and you die an embarrassing death.

The only change they really need to make is if your [SPRINT] is held down, you auto-roll/slide through windows and side-cover.

I'm growing to hate this feature in lagging games. If I'm anywhere near a wall or cover and I scope in, my field of view jerks all over the place because the game can't decide where to glue me. I either pop into the middle of a doorway or end up looking into the middle of a wall. Or just can't fucking aim at anything.
