Are you the person who asked me about something similar on tumblr yesterday? What's happening when you open the GUI? Have you followed the tutorial to completion? In what way isn't it loading the shaders? Is the GUI empty of effects altogether? That happened to me once and I can't remember exactly why but it had something to do with me either not completing the tutorial properly or shifting shaders around manually so they weren't where they were meant to be. I wish I could remember so I could give more advice but it was a while ago and I solved it pretty quickly so I didn't think too much about it. nope, wasn't me! but, yeah, during and after the tutorial the GUI is completely empty where there should be shaders. which is why i went to the forums for troubleshooting and found the bit about specifying the file path in Settings. but i haven't moved anything or touched anything, other than to rename the .dll (otherwise it wouldn't show up at all). I'm far from an expert in Reshade, but I'm like, frustrated on your behalf and want to try to help work this out! Is your game installed in the default location? If you've had to manually rename the dll file, it sounds to me like you may have hit the wrong option while installing - did you check Direct3D 10+? The files should be called dxgi as a result.

I'm hesitant to post these screens here instead of the general screenshot thread, but I wanted to thank amoebae for this thread and the tutorials. I had fun playing around with the tools. Thanks!

PSA: I've PMd SofaJockey asking if he could move this thread to General. It was originally made in Spoilers since there might be spoilers in the shots, but we agreed after some time had passed it could be moved to General. Hopefully it's been long enough now, and I don't think anyone minds the other more general screenshot thread being in the General section of the forums.
So, if this thread suddenly disappears from Spoilers, that's why - we're just moving to a new home. I don't think any of the internal links will change (as in, links to tutorials on the first page), but if they do I'll update the relevant posts.

That's incredible! Makes me wish there was day cycle in this game (really should be, in an open world game). I'm trying to learn how to change lightning settings in ReShade, but not having much luck understanding anything.

We're in the General thread now. Hi to anyone stopping by.
Please take your time to read through the first post before you post any screenshots here.
This thread is for the very best screenshots. That means thoughtful composition, good image quality. No random snapshots, certainly no HUD, no photoshop, nothing that isn't your best. Be selective before you upload - don't just throw everything you've taken up.
If you're going to use wacky ReShade effects, please make sure they add to the picture and aren't just there because you think they're cool. Would your picture's composition look good without that ReShade effect? If not, it's not a great picture to begin with, and you're just trying to mask it.
Consider fov, consider aspect ratio, consider lighting, the position of the camera, and where all the elements of foreground and background fit in the frame. Challenge yourself to get the composition right. All the fancy ReShade effects in the world will never make up for composition. In fact, they'll just highlight an otherwise bad shot. Don't use ReShade as a crutch. It's fun to play around with, but this thread is for challenging people to take the very best screenshots they can, and ultimately 99% of that is in the composition and composition alone. It can take me an hour to get one single shot of a particular scene that balances good composition with everything else. If you're just spamming printscreen or it's taking you a minute or two to get a picture (outside of tweaking ReShade if you use it, or setting up your SRWE resolutions) you might not be spending the time necessary to ensure your composition is as good as it can be.
Take your time. Be selective. Challenge yourself. Don't post it just because you took it. Imagine you're selling yourself through a portfolio of work that has to reflect the very best you can achieve.

We don't know their names (I don't, at least), but there obviously were some great visual artists working on Andromeda.

Sometimes, when the Nomad crests a hill, I have to catch my breath at the beautiful scene before me. Also, great shot! And thank you orchid, that shot was born from one of those times. Thank you amoebae † for this thread and the tips and tutorials and the great art. You inspire me to keep trying. edit: I forgot to post my flower. Aya Bloom Save

Sometimes, when the Nomad crests a hill, I have to catch my breath at the beautiful scene before me. That! (and thanks). When I see shots like that, some small detail brought up close, I realize the next-gen games we were waiting for just 3-4 years ago are already here, and Andromeda is one of them. Great photo, and extra props for spotting these little things many people walk past (I know I often do). Please keep taking and posting them pictures

Hey guys just a quick question, I'm using the free roam CT camera but I cannot move it, its stuck inside the map below the surface and its completely stationary. I can turn and roll it and change the FOV but I cannot change its position. Am I missing something here? I read the readme and it says nothing about how to actually move the camera.

I read the readme and it says nothing about how to actually move the camera. You can move it with numpad 4/8/6/5 (or 2, can't recall). Numpad 7/9 for moving it higher/lower.

Every now and then I get it to work but most of the time when I switch to freeroam cam it looks like this. The camera is stuck somewhere in the map and I cannot move it, just turn and roll it. Its highly frustrating. .

Every now and then I get it to work but most of the time when I switch to freeroam cam it looks like this. The camera is stuck somewhere in the map and I cannot move it, just turn and roll it. Its highly frustrating. . This happened to me quite a lot when I was using the CT for the first time in DA:I. But I'm sorry, I don't remember what exactly was going wrong, or how I "fixed" it. Although, I'm pretty sure it was "user error", and after I got the hang of the tools it never happened again. The CT can be very frustrating and confusing when you're first learning how to use them. But what I do remember is that at first I thought the camera wasn't moving (with up/down and forward/backwards) when in fact, it actually was. It's just that when you're stuck way down under the world, with the camera moving so slowly, it's difficult/impossible to detect that it is actually moving. I don't know if that's the same for you, or if perhaps something else is wrong and your movement controls aren't actually working at all (excluding turn and roll). These are my steps when using the CT (maybe it will help you): * Cool location found! I then press: 1) Home (toggles off the UI) 2) Insert (toggles on the Camera) 3) Delete (freezes the game) * I then tab out of the game and click the Reset button (Camera tab > Reset) Note: When you first use the CT (on a new play session) the camera will always be right there with your char. However, after that initial toggle-on, the Camera will "stick" to the last location. So every time, after the initial one, you need to click the Reset button. When I'm tabbed out, my game window is resized and positioned in the top-left of my Desktop, and the CT is positioned down in the bottom-right. So when I tab out, I see the last Camera location in the game window, and then can clearly see the camera switch to the current location when I click the Reset button. (Every once in a while it doesn't work properly, and I have to click Reset 2-3 times for it to finally switch to my current location). * I then tab back into the game and set up my shot. * If I'm using Depth of Field, I tab out again after setting up the shot, and fiddle with the settings until I've got what I want. (I can clearly see the changes as I make them, because my game window is resized). * I then tab back into the game, take my screenshot, and then press: 1) Home (toggles on the UI) 2) Insert (toggles off the Camera) 3) Delete (unfreezes the game) Then continue playing until the next screenshot opportunity comes along, and repeat the steps above.

I can turn and roll it and change the FOV but I cannot change its position. Am I missing something here? I read the readme and it says nothing about how to actually move the camera. Make sure the camera is enabled by hitting insert key. That tripped me up when I first started using it. Because you can roll and do limited stuff. Then hit the reset. If that doesn't work, the FOV tends to flip for me when it's in the negatives, so check that as well. I hope you get it to work! Gravity Eos Save
