Every character in the Mass Effect trilogy had Daddy issues. Some like Miranda, Tali, Jacob and Wrex literally had Daddy issues. Thane was his own walking Daddy issue. It's not SJWs, it's poor writing and poor voice direction and BW putting their B team on their most poplar franchise so their A team can work on the new IP. It's like they learned nothing from the TOR experience. (DA2 was a rush job due to BW focusing too much on TOR). Don't know about you but by the time I was done with her Miranda had 'who's ya Daddy issues' :amirite: Somebody give me a fistbump.

Its about character growth and its about development and the themes of the game. Even Ryder can be played as a remarkably insecure kid just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. It makes sense that the characters on the ship match this theme because one of the main themes in the game is 'homecoming'. People are trying to find their place in the universe. Even Vetra. Drack really isn't because he is a Krogan and just dosen't care.
And actually most people who felt out of place and had issues in the Meeelky Way would volunteer for an expedition like this. Packing up roots and moving on is not a job for 'professionals' its a job for scared lonely people who just want a new start.

Okay the cringe levels are off the charts. Why are all my crew and companions spilling their guts to me. Since the get go it's been nothing but emotional overload. Aren't these people supposed to be professionals handpicked for this? It's seriously hard to find a good conversation without listening to someones sob story. Cora, Liam, Peebee and Jaal are non stop in this mood. Only Drack and Vetra have been decent enough to do their damn job without crying every second sentence, I guess it's why I've stuck with them in the end game. Seriously this is getting paradoxical. Shepard had to go to great lengths to earn the respect not only of his companions, but of the other major characters. Ryder is basically a puppy surrounded by people who supposedly are better qualified and more experienced, yet they behaving like morons. Even the god damn asari doctor, who is probably hundreds of years old needs my reassurance. Come on, the writing has to be more solid than this... SO true. Also I have never talked to people so much in my life. Real or imagined life. (Well maybe Morrowind or something but it's not the same at least to me) Those people are so needy. EVERY time I got back to the ship "so and so wants to see you also so and so else wants to speak with you) It just goes on and on and on an on and.....I finished it and I don't know if I can ever play it again because it's just too much talk and not enough combat, which is the best part of the game.

I played the trilogy again right before this one came out. To me the crew in Andromeda is far LESS whiney and full of issues than any of the crew in all trilogy games. I guess we all have different views but I felt there was a bunch less hand-holding / dragging through personal issues.
Every Bioware game I've played had a bunch of talkies with companions/crew.. that's why I love them - but then I'm not really in it for the combat

I have to agree to a point. Most of the dialog among the party members is rather weak.
So im mostly stuck whit Drack and Vetra. The rest just dont pick my interest at all. Peebee been outright annoying. Yet i had so many beloved companions in ME the trilogy. Hell im yet to see anyone top off Archangel and Legion.
That been said - im mostly not paying attention at all to the companions.

Would you please stop with that shit! It is more than annoying and games look me this it is expected to have to help deal with your squad/ crew and their issues. Did you not play ME trilogy? It is not bad at all. Someone tell this guy. Tell me what? That you believe so called "SJW's" ruined the game I know this already and I don't agree. Constantly coming in to every topic spying your hate and SJW insults gets old fast. We all have different opinions and it doesn't make us right or wrong, bio drones, EA employees,or people with bad taste. We all like different things get used to it!

It's funny, because it's true. I walked into a conversation an asari was having with an aragaran and they were talking about pronouns and that there are asari that's use the "they" and "he" pronouns. I faced palmed so hard. I wouldn't even think the pronoun "he" had any meaning in asari culture.

So basically it's a typical Bioware game? Yeah, but in a different time where everyone else has moved on, so that is not a compliment.

I dunno. You all know my feelings about this, this feels like a SW:TOR expansion, something you play once and forget. Then it's wait for three months and it's time for the next big baddy, which is usually some part of your crew. Rinse and repeat, over and over. It gets old fast.
I suppose I'll have to look elsewhere for these types of characters that I love. 'Cause this game ain't got 'em. TWD:ANF here I come. I'll be lucky if that game hits 15 hours. It's kind'a sad when you think of a 150 hour game has about 1/10 the value that a 15 hour game at less than half the cost has.

So, they have time to spill out their guts about their problems so the all mighty player can help them like a the savior he is, because they need the support from the psychologist-captain, but they feel fine enough to enter a galaxy as aliens and start shooting shit up in order to find their place? Can you even realize how immature and bad the concept of the story is in this game?
