Not seeing a lot of Nintendo stuff on here so not sure if one whole amalgamated thread for the entire company is warranted or not [mods please delete with my apologies if that's the case].
Having said that, while I wait for more of the good stuff to come out on the Switch I dusted off my old Wii U and thought I'd give the old girl some loving before making the switch (I know ). Do any of you guys have a Wii U and what are your general opinions on your experiences with it/favourite games/memories whatever? Same for the 3DS too. And are any of you looking to pick up a Switch at any time in the future?

Not looking to pick up a Switch at the moment, but being interested in Fire Emblem as I am I'll probably consider it at some point for when it comes out on the Switch, plus a few other games. I'd also try out Breath of the Wild of course since ever though I've never played a Zelda game it seems really good.
For Nintendo I mostly just have my 3DS which I originally got so I could play Fire Emblem Awakening and later Smash Bros. Also picked up a few other games for it over the years.
On the topic of Fire Emblem I really hope Echoes does well so that they can finally remake Genealogy of the Holy War, which is the best pre-NA release Fire Emblems in my opinion.

MIGHT get my first nintendo console if FE Switch turns out to be really good but considering FE Fates I doubt that. It's also going to be quite an interesting FE game with the way archers and magic works. It's a shame they're probably only going to use Hidari's art for the echoes games, her art looks really pleasant to look at and doesn't look TOO typical anime.

I have a Wii U, only have a handful games for it tho - Mario Kart 8 (pre-installed) - Splatoon (downloaded) - Pokemon Tekken - Batman Arkham City - Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham I like playing Mario Kart & Pokemon Tekken, Splatoon is also fun. The controls for Batman Arkham City are annoying. When you rather sit on a roof and listen to thugs banter below you instead of playing, then it tells you something about the game. As for Lego Batman, it is fun, but I prefer Lego Marvel Super Heroes on my PS3. It had a much more Open World to explore than the different stages in Lego Batman 3.

Splatoon is great fun, can't believe how much that game just worked. It's a shame because the Wii U lacks some good shooters, I even bought Mass Effect 3 Special Edition for because it was like 10 quid. Do you like RPG's other than Bioware ones? Xenoblade Chronicles X is really good and I've heard good things about that Tokyo Mirage sessions though I haven't played it yet myself.

Yeah, I haven't played it much (mostly because I got it late and only got to play the last Splatfest ) but I really like it. Ofc I do (FFX & FFX-2 are my fav RPGs to date, FFX-2 was even my most replayed RPG before I got DAI) I own Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii. I saw articles about Tokyo Mirage and it looks really cool, sadly I need to save my money again, cause I just bought MEA.

Super Mario Pokémon, I do have Moon too, but it wasn't out yet when I took the pic Anime Beat 'em Ups Diverse Jump 'n Runs Puzzle & Card games Final Fantasy + Kingdom Hearts Diverse JRPGs SSX + Soul Calibur Marvel + DC Legend of Zelda

Great collection Gilli. Phantom Hourglass was the first Zelda game I ever played so that holds a special place for me. (I'm actually drinking tea out of a PH mug as I type this ) What's Pokémon Moon like? I've heard good things about it and haven't actually completed a Pokémon game since Yellow.

Thanks My first Zelda was Ocarina of Time, I like it, but I never finished it Same with the others, I always get stuck somewhere. Moon is cool, imo it has much more story then the other games before.

I just read that OoT was the game that invented auto-jumping & auto-aiming. Also the music is awesome!

Just been flicking through amazon and it's only 14 quid on the 3DS, do you reckon it's worth buying?

The 1st game I ever beat was for about 2 weeks in the 4th grade, I had god-like status......until someone else completed it.

Nice one, once I've finished Andromeda I shall get it and play it! I'd be curious to know how you rank the Zelda games you've played?

Yes! Totally. If I wouldn't already own it for 2 consoles (N64 and Game Cube) I'd get it again. Nice one, once I've finished Andromeda I shall get it and play it! I'd be curious to know how you rank the Zelda games you've played? Uff that's hard, after not playing any of them for years But okay, let's see Ocarina of Time: I'd call this nostalgia love, because it doesn't just have a great story and awesome the music, but it's also the first Zelda game I played. Negative: Navi could get very annoying "Hey! Listen! Hey!" Wind Waker: Loved the sailing around and basically having a world with no bounds. I think this was the Zelda game, where I came the furthest. Negative: The sailing around could sometimes be a bit tricky. Twighlight Princess: The turning into a wolf was very cool and the world was so big. Also you found by moing your hands, like swinging your sword, aiming an arrow, fishing was all done by moving your hands/the Wii Remote like you would in real life. I advise much room around your arms. (god I haven't played this game in so long Need to figure out if I can put it into my Wii U, or if I have to hook up my Wii again ) Negative: Well, not really negative, just my inability to perform the special sword attacks with the Wii Remote. Phantom Hourglass: I got it, because I liked Wind Waker and the world it plays in so much. Negative: Even with the ability to write notes everywhere I keep getting lost, or forget what I have to do. Also I wished you could move with the control pad, instead of doing everything with the Stylus. Majora's Mask: ....this game is just hard. You have to save the world in three days, otherwise the moon falls down. Sounds okay, but it isn't. It isn't at all. saw this more often then I liked and gave up. :smh:
