I hope we will see some bans. EA should care about it as they could earn money from the microtransations. They should bring a cheat report interface on their website and allow to upload short videos. The host of these lobbies should get a notification and one-week-ban for the first time plus a whole reset of their account, a complete MEAMP ban if they do it again.
Its really annoying for me when I put in good gear and join into a cheated lobby. I loose my gear but I don't want to play cheated, I also don't want to risk to have my credits or gear hacked permanently.

People who cheat in this game are only cheating themselves, I think. No real competition so I don't see the point.
Game has much more pressing issues so I'm hoping BW won't waste time addressing this before they've dealt with other matters.
Money is involved though, so it's probably high on their list.

It's getting pretty bad. I ran into so many cheating games while pugging this weekend. Like seriously a 50% chance you will get a cheater host. I hope they do something about it soon. Don't think i've ever seen anyone cheating and i've played pretty extensively. 150+ extractions and APEX 7000ish. What kind of cheating? Invincible shields, unlimited ammo, no need to even reload. I see this A LOT. It takes a minute or so for me to realize that I am not getting hurt and I never have to reload. I just leave the game at that point. |

For the most part. I just fucking hate cheaters, they are the cancer of any gaming community. I believe that too, but only in games that cheating matters. there is no money to be made here. this isnt competitive Halo or anything. also, the cheaters are not one shotting you from across the map while running, jumping up, quick scoping you through a mountain. its a COOP game, not competitive like so many FPS game I HOPE I get in a PUG with some cheater to carry me and level me up, lol Cheating should matter to EA because it's going to cut into their microtransaction profits. People not gonna buy Andromeda points if they can just cheat their way to infinite credits. |

Ran into a few bugged lobbies. Invincibility, no cool down etc. Left right away because might get banned just by being in the game; Ie dark souls 3 ban waves.
Remembering DAIMP, nobody was banned for cheating, even when there was micro transactions. I thought that was very poor way to run a business, make the people who like the game enough to support it by buying micro transactions felt like their money are wasted.
Hope more support for the MEAMP and some bans to happen.
But in truth, I just hope tomorrow's patch doesn't introduce a new "key bug"

Honestly, they put so much of the weight on the host's client, that they probably cannot even keep track of anything cheat related. Cheat lobbies have been around since launch and nothing has been done. Which you would expect a response in some way as companies usually have swift responses when their money lines are threatened. IE Andromeda points
Even ME3's store and multiplayer was highly susceptible to cheatengine. Which I think may even still work.

I'm honestly not certain how BW can identify credit hackers, because they were lots in ME3. Players with not many gametime and already a max or almost maxed manifest. We could easily identify those, because even tough they had good gear it was quite easy to notice they had no clue about the game. In a game where you can get carried in public lobbies, NOT having a clue about the game is not a sign of cheating. To identify cheaters, there are simple metrics ( logs from the games being sent to the EA server could easily be parsed by script logic and also a simple playtime versus manifest comparison ), but for that you´d need to actually invest time and effort - it´s a business calculation. If "cost of employees to detect cheating and take measures" < "loss of Andromeda point sales by people cheating" = Biocare but If "cost of employees to detect cheating and take measures" > "loss of Andromeda point sales by people cheating" = Biodontcare Seeing as secondary effects like "loss of players due to unplayable lobbies, because braintarded cheaters hosting publics" is probably not included into the business calculations, I am highly doubtful of seeing any effort taken to get rid of cheats in this game. |

To be honest i think most sales are console sales, and for PC it is much smaller. And only a small friction of the pc users know about it. So i'm not certain how they will approach it. They also might to simply move on and work on future projects after a few dlc's and patches anyway. They did the same with ME3. After the last reckoning DLC they simply moved on. Even tough that dlc had some huge bugs. Like every time you selected certain character (talon merc) your keybindings were always resetted to default. So if you didnt play with default keys, you had to remap your keys every time after you selected the character.
