So, does anyone know if thhe biotic amp and/or asari sword benefit from biotic damage up effects? Or is it just flavor text?
What mostly makes me wonder is the amp vs omniblade. They are parallel in dmg and attack speed...unless one is secretly awesome for biotics and the other for techs.

Omniblade & Biotic amp does nothing extra, they're basic melee weapons. 1 kett sword burns the enemy 1 kett sword recovers your health 1 angaran sword shocks your enemy havent tried the other one.

The biotic amp is actual very different from the omni-blade. The amp literally throws unshielded/unarmored enemies across the room. It was actually pretty funny when I first tried it, but I eventually switched back to the omni-blade because I got tired of chasing after flying bodies to finish them off.

I don't think they do, because stat buffs are clearly labeled "Melee Damage" with no distinctions and "Biotic POWER Damage". Melee weapons, even with biotic effects, aren't powers, they're melee, so they're only buffed by Melee Damage.
Personally I go with a MFing Krogan Hammer : P

But throwing away enemies shouldn't be done by default. Offensive Biotic level 6b (boitic warrior) should do that

The teleport effect of the asari sword takes some getting used to, however...you can use it to actually teleport yourself through some walls and objects. Getting used to how it works, and it can be a lot of fun.

it's the same as N7 assassin or Turian Cabal in ME3 multiplayer and i didn't like it. it can be useful to close distance but the range is unknown and hard to strike at the right distance. with normal melee attack i know where i have to be to use it.

Biotic Amp is a pretty good melee weapon because of it's speed and OK damage. But it's Uncommon, so it has very few aug slots. And Melee counts as weapons for the bonuses, so, say, UR Remnant glove with Innovation cryo perk can give you 5 slots that will translate into possible 25% bonus to your chosen stat instead of 15% with Bio Amp.
