Usually I ask my son or grandson these fool questions but, neither plays DA:2 since it a "terrible" game that's not worth buying so, I'll turn to the experience players.
I would like to add some DLC to my DA:2 since I fully believe its a excellent and fun game and would like some advice on the better equipment packs for mage and rogue and quest like the Exile Prince and the one that contains Corypheus..
Any other DLC worth buying?
Oddly enough I had this game for three years and after several attempts I lost interest in playing during the Deep Roads expedition and now, I 'm enjoying the game as much as DA:O and DA:I.
Once I become comfortable playing DA:2 I plan on doing what I been wanting to do, play all three games in order.

Legacy is important as background of the Inquisition The Exiled Prince is very interesting for Chantry viewpoint. And Sebastian also interesting character.
(Shame, that this two was dlc, these are essential parts of the game.)
The MoTA is fun.

These expansions can be done in any act:
I think LEgacy is an important must have and should be done in Act 3. with a Warden Carver!
I think MoTA is cute....I found the ending of it rather frustrating. But you do get to explore the Faith of the Qunari via someone who follows it. I don't regret buying it, but I wouldn't say it's a must have. Narratively, it makes sense to do in Act 1- to help you get money for the Deep Roads Expedition.
The Exiled Prince... the way he acts at the end of Act 3 makes me almost regret buying him at all. But at the same time, I enjoy rivaling him so much that I choose to play with him rather than without. Also a better archer skill tree than Varric's. ^^

Legacy is awesome. Corypheus felt way more badass here than in DAI, I think. It is best done in act 3 due to difficulty, but can fit into the story in any act. Some of the dialogue will change depending when you do it, as will the DLC's epilogue scene. Take your sibling along, if possible. MotA is lots of fun. There is an optional boss that is a total bitch to beat...probably hopeless before act 3, though if I'm honest, I never beat it at all It's worse than any of the dragons. I actually think this story makes the most sense in act 3, due to the reason Hawke is invited to attend the gathering. If you do this in act 3, take your LI and whoever else you really like the most for banter. Exiled Prince is the last one I bought. I like Sebastian for his supportive relationship with Fenris. There is content for both act 2 and act 3, since you're getting a companion.

I enjoyed all the DLCs and wouldn't play DA2 without them. BTW, I love DA2, have played it a lot, and will play it again.

Nothin in me wants to spend a million hours of preparation to beat the thing.

Legacy is great.
MotA is a mixed bag. It has some great banter (especially if you bring the sibling and the LI) and some nice new environments and a couple of solid combat sections. But also has a fairly narrow ending and a new companion whose stats are balanced in a way that can cause her to die frequently if you're not carefully when you choose her abilities (she also has a weird pacing to her dialogue - I don't know if that was the actress or the director, but it's strange).

The weapons and armor packs are nice but not a must have. They add some unique models to the game - not all of them aesthetically pleasing (I hate the daggers for dw rogues, they are just hideous and look very much out of line for a DA game), but that is of course personal opinion. The mage pack has MLacoms request (I think, it's called that or similar), a nice robe and therogue pack has the Black Fox' Jerkin, a really nice rogue armor. I can't remember the warrior items that much, I usually give some of the weapons to Fenris and Aveline of course, but I don't think, I ever used the armor there (the warrior weapons look far better than those for rogues imo) That said, Legacy and MotA are really great - the first one ties in with DAI and the latter one is just fun to play. I'm not a fan of the exiled prince, because Sebastian is one of my least favorite characters in the whole DA series, but other player like him well enough. He is very pro Andrastian and 'holier than thou', which can lead to some funny dialogue (if you get him, make sure to have him and Merrill in the party, listen and laugh) phoray and dragontartare Do you mean the Sky Horror? I hate that thing with passion. I beat it once, but don't ask me how, sheer dumb luck, I guess

If you get The Exiled Prince, you should plan to do a new playthrough, since the content is spread through all three acts.
Legacy and MotA can be done at any time, including post-game.

Legacy for definite and if your sibling is still alive, make sure to bring them along on the quest. MOTA is good too and we get to see some environments that aren't recycled caves etc. I play both of those in Act 3 usually, as that seems to make more sense for me. I've got all the rogue, warrior and weapon packs as well, which include equipment for your team such as belts, rings etc. for a particular character. I've replayed DA2 so many times I've lost count and I still love it.
