I believed they improved something with 1.05 but apparently this is not the case.
The off-host matches I played today were just disgusting. Headshots didn't register or didn't even hit AT ALL!
All these balancing problems are annoying, yes. But to be honest, headshots and weak spots not registering - this is actually teh most terrible thing that can happen to a player. Not just for a sniper.
Now I am opening this thread under the impression of an on-host game which felt like a breeze in comparison. Everything was smooth and great. Like a difference between night and day.
ME3 had off-host issues, too. But at least you were able to shoot the enemies in the head!! It is not to understand that Andromeda can't do better.

For me and my play-style this is effectively ruining the game for me. Most of my hours in ME3 MP were spent taking a weapon, putting it on a fat turian, and aiming for the head, something that worked on all but the worst hosts.
In this game, even on hosts with no rubberbanding, off-host hit detection and hitboxes are garbage. I'll watch enemies stagger from weapons force but take no damage, and enemies like raiders generally take 3-4 vanquisher shots to the head off-host to kill even before they fixed the headshot modifier glitch in the most recent patch. I've seen no improvement whatsoever with the patch.
I live in a rural area and don't have great internet, so I don't expect online games to really function all that well for me anyway, but this game is a severe step backwards from its predecessor.

My aim has significantly improved since the patch with sniper... no idea why. But since the beginning headshots have been awful. I was nailing heads yesterday with 1/4 registering, it makes no sense how this happens. Makes snipers on gold almost useless, the valient has 5 shots so I can hit body shots four times and get a kill but cmon these guys move in such strange ways after being hit getting four shots in a row is pretty rough. Especially when some just don't register. Agreed it's a huge problem

Yeah.. it's annoying.
I get most of my headshots to hit by aiming at neck/chin level. It feels REALLY odd not going for the forehead.. but at least they register.

Imagine doing that on consoles. I was pretty decent with headshot in ME3MP, but it`s super hard in MEAMP. To make things worse... enemies move really frantically in this game. Also shooting from cover doesn`t seem to give any kind of accuracy bonus.
...just more reasons to rely on melee attacks.

Missing does seem to be an issue now that they have fixed some of the other problems.
(I have missed hydras, point blank range, with throw and cobra rpgs, but also with various guns.)
This is not the only remaining issue - and it might be related to how they handle off-host lag? (Off host lag can rapidly pull you off target, can keep you from jumping over small obstacles, and will almost certainly insult your mother.)

I've played one game offhost since the patch, and it felt like they registered.

Let's work on hits registering at all first; I shot a Raider in the chest at point-blank range earlier and nothing.
Oddly, though, I've noticed that the size of the hit box for heads gets bigger, the further you are from the target. Sooo, try hiding strategically camping further away for the time being?
