There is a marriage ceremony scene between the two? I don't remember this at all... Sounds amusing though. It's kind of a wedding/coronation combined. You only get to see it if the HoF lives. If your Warden dies, then the final cutscene is the funeral instead. It is possible by talking to them before the Landsmeet and getting them to agree to marry. Of course, you have to duel Loghain yourself and allow him to live. Alistair becomes angry and removes himself from the Wardens. But he lives and will marry Anora with Loghain still alive. I knew about getting them to marry, not about Loghain. I always kill him. But this would be an interesting way to play with Loghain alive and Alistair not a drunk -- because I can't bring myself to do that. Also, don't like letting Loghain live.
I did it this way in the game I just finished. Loghain doesn't need to live, but you can't have Al kill him if you want him (Al) to marry Anora. The HoF can kill Loghain and the wedding will go on. I also discovered that Al will back out/run away if you didn't harden him and also don't kill Loghain. If you did harden him, then he will keep to the marriage agreement but hate the HoF as a result of Loghain not being executed.

I meant if I wanted to keep Loghain alive and make Alistair king -- but, that sounds even less appealing now.

I wouldn't say Alistair hates the HoF, but he's certainly angry with her. Or him.

I'm pretty sure he hated her. He yelled at Diana for a good 5 minutes when she went back to talk to him in Eamon's study. Then he left and she never saw him again. I hope he felt really bad after she died saving them all. Stupid shem. At least the love of his life, whoever it might be, hadn't been ghoulified before his eyes. [Diana was Dalish]
[my previous Warden romanced him and they stayed together in the Wardens, so I figured this time around I'd make him miserable ]

I wouldn't say Alistair hates the HoF, but he's certainly angry with her. Or him. Yeah, I remember when my Warden spoke to Alistair after the Archdemon was killed (Warden had OGB), he had calmed down considerably and gave the impression that they might be friends again in the future. But when I played Awakening, he was still salty. Apparently the only way he doesn't stay angry is when he and Anora rule jointly and Loghain dies killing the Archdemon.

I carefully plan out my Alistair romances... My Tabris isn't gonna have such an ending... But even so, you'll have to accept Morrigan bearing Alistair's child. In the real world, it isn't that uncommon for someone to start dating a person who already has children from a previous relationship. But your partner impregnating another woman AFTER you started dating is just bizarre, even more so with your permission.

You do have a choice, you just have to be willing to sacrifice yourself or someone else.

That's what my gf did for her canon because she couldn't agree to do the ritual. Not only because she was romancing Alistair but because she couldn't do that to a little kid and I agree with her. Actually if it were the other way around and Alistair would have offered the ritual but Morrigan would have had to sleep with him I would have also refuse and sacrifice myself. But I have to add that I understand why someone would do Morrigan's ritual if they romanced Alistair although I strongly disagree.

And he was with me. So many tears were shed that day...

My Male Cousland did the DA because Morrigan wanted him to do so, so he did it (without thinking of the aftermath of his decision though). The only one who didn't take up the DA was Lycrus Aeducan, who let Loghain kill himself instead. Which is ironic, considering my Aeducan was a Morrigan romance...

I have tried all of the outcomes with the DR, but the one I imported to DAI is F!Tabris, Warden Alistair and DR. It does feel like a shoddy thing to do to him, though. My Tabris is very pragmatic and trusts Morrigan like a sister, which may not be the most wise thing.

I never installed mods for DAO, but apparently someone has made one so different origins can marry Alistair.
In honor of Beregond5, the Amell wedding:
I love how judgmental Isolde looks. Also, seeing Dagna in the background is a nice touch.
And for GoldenGail3 and me, the Tabris version:
There are Surana, Mahariel and Cousland versions, but I'm not sure about the dwarf origins.
