In the real world, it isn't that uncommon for someone to start dating a person who already has children from a previous relationship.

But your partner impregnating another woman AFTER you started dating is just bizarre, even more so with your permission.

But you have to do it. You have no other choice.

I'm actually a Morrimancer, so I can just throw Loghain at the archdemon. Sadly, not an option for Alistair.

You can always sacrifice yourself. That's what my gf did for her canon because she couldn't agree to do the ritual. Not only because she was romancing Alistair but because she couldn't do that to a little kid and I agree with her.
Actually if it were the other way around and Alistair would have offered the ritual but Morrigan would have had to sleep with him I would have also refuse and sacrifice myself. But I have to add that I understand why someone would do Morrigan's ritual if they romanced Alistair although I strongly disagree.

Both my Amell and Cousland did the DA (because they didn't want to die, nor did they want to kill Alistair). My Male Cousland did the DA because Morrigan wanted him to do so, so he did it (without thinking of the aftermath of his decision though). The only one who didn't take up the DA was Lycrus Aeducan, who let Loghain kill himself instead. Which is ironic, considering my Aeducan was a Morrigan romance...
