You don't.
Points are better spent elsewhere on any Lance kit it looks like. Combos don't depend on ranks and if you're off-host, Lance is janky with hitting weak points.

I would rather spend points on Lance than Throw I'll tell you that much. I don't know the specifics off the top of my head but you'll want to go for Recharge or radius over damage/force. (At least until Powers get buffed enough to actually make use of the Damage/Force bonuses) I will also say that you can stop specing into Lance at Rank 5, as I find both Rank 6 rather pointless.
Knockdown Red's vs Lance costing shields, so I'd rather invest those extra 6 points to get Throw or Backlash or whatever else your kit has to rank 3.

Lance 6b is love on my Asari Adept, explosions all over the place with no cooldown.
If they die in your field, you get shields. If you punch stuff, you get shields.
Hop into 3 raiders and Lance lance lance.
Love.

Mostly because huntress is not good at priming much of anything. Throw at least staggers shielded/armored targets for an easy headshot, setting up piriahs for an easy kill, instakilling mooks by sending them over railings/cliffs, and a much shorter recharge (screw that shield-powered evolution for lance). For me to care about lance, the shield powered evo needs to have the shield cost cut alot more. down to 15-20% of your shield. |

Only have experience with it on Asari Adept.
I don't spec into it. I play ultra aggressive so all the extra tankiness I get from maxing everything else is way better for me than the lackluster evolutions Lance offers.
