Every crash I've had happened in a game where there was significant lag. I suspect there's a connection.
Oh wait, that's a bad choice of words...

xbox here. yesterday was terrible, crashed constantly back to the dash. Today was better, only 2 crashes but got 8 matches in. Unfortunately, this means tomorrow will be bad, seems 1 good day is followed by constant issues the next. * Probably coincidence, but both times it crashed today, were when i put on incendiary II ammo.... I do have a strong feeling that this has something to do with boosters. I had crashes when using cryo ammo and power boosters. XP though seems to work ok I don't ever use boosters and I hard crashed out of 2 of the 5 games I played yesterday afternoon. I think it has something to do with being played in matches with out of regioners. Both games I crashed in there was severe lag for the entire round that it was barely playable, but instead of just losing connection I just hard crash back to the Xbox dashboard.

For me it's completely random. I can go a few days with no crashes at all. And the other night I have them one after another. Ranging from CTD's to disconnects apparently out of nowhere. Anyone tried the latest GeForce drivers yet (at least for 1080 non-Ti) to see if it might make a difference? I'm still on the alledgedly game-ready ones. I know you were asking specifically for the 1080, but I think the game ready drivers are the latest ones. At least, that's the only ones showing for the GTX 970, updated to that today and I still crash. No the latest ones are the 381.65, released this week. It's also the Titan Xp driver (yeah the new one, not the 'old' Titan X Pascal, nicknamed XP... nVidia-logic...) LinkThat's the kind of CTD I had yesterday, but the following post made a lot of sense, so I might give it a try: yeah strike teams are still very buggy, I expect there is some kind of code mismatch problem, more than half the time I have noticed crashes or connection loss issues related to strike teams finishing missions, not to mention the "wont debrief" problem where you have to restart the game completely in order to access the strike team menu from the multiplayer screen and if you try to play match it will trigger a CTD at some point during the match ..... When I was CTD-ing yesterday I had one or two Strike Team missions finishing, so I'll give it a go to see if it matters. I haven't had Origin in-game active since the week of release, indeed in order to fix those issue

LinkCheers for the correction, I was using the 378.92 drivers (which I have since learned was the game ready driver for Andromeda) prior to updating to the one you mentioned today. Still had a crash despite this, however I did experience some incredible lag in the wave leading up to said crash, which is something I didn't get pre-patch. Naming a new card something similar to an already established card's nickname seems like a recipe for people buying the wrong card. Will have to ensure I'm buying what I think I'm buying when I eventually upgrade. Appreciate the link as well, GeForce experience doesn't seem to itemise the additions quite like guru3d does.

When I think about this, I remember that I have crashed when lag got really bad (like when I could not move for maybe half a minute or so). So, I have gotten into a habit of slowing down when things get laggy.
Partially, because I decided that if my actions will be that delayed I should try to think things through to attempt to stay alive (find cover and stuff), but maybe also there is some kind of queue that gets full and crashes the game?

On PS4 I was unable to load multiplayer without ctd. Since the patch it has rock solid. Going to try xbox today and see how that handles.

Xbox seems to be a mixed bag, only experience 1 hard crash before the update, and yesterday I hard crashed 2 games in a row and my friend can't even play a single match without a crash and this is before and after the update.

Yesterday on PS4 I crashed four times in 15 minutes.
Worked out that my friend who was hosting the game was the cause. Apparently when he hosts, I crash nonstop. As soon as he left and another friend took over, all was well. Well, barring some pretty ugly frame drops, but still, better than crashing and getting fuck-all for it.

Not just you - I'm on Xbox and every game I've gotten into in the last two days have just been crashing.
So I've given up for now.
This game has not impressed me..

Just played a couple matches on Xbox without issue. Will see how SP goes later. Feeling for your friend. That was me on PS 4 before the path. So frustrating.

with xbone I think its related to what programs are running in the background, my nipper being like most kids is forever downloading all kinds of pointless crap apps that run as soon as the box is started, and a lot of games don't like that, indeed I had to do a factory reset on it twice now to remove some of the shit he put on there just so some of the games will work, oh and mine at least prefers things be installed on an external hard drive otherwise the games crash every 15 minutes... i'm sure that's just my console though...

The game is not crashing for me (Xbox One), but I've played with a friend today and his game crashed almost every time as soon as wave 7 started.
