The Crusader is my biggest concern UR wise in MEAMP. I kept on having Crusaders after events in ME3 and got it to VI in 6 weeks, I felt like the Crusader wanted me to love it... and I finally did.
ME3MP Crusader had: - Excellent accuracy - slight delay, which required quite a bit of skill to use - good stoping power - innate cover/armor piercing (0.5 meter if my memories are correct)
In MEAMP Crusader, everything giving it that uniqueness is gone. Pinpoint accuracy is gone, the delay is gone (not bad), the force is gone, and the innate piercing is gone. On top of that, it doesn't do enough damage in my opinion.
So, as the details of the weapon say, "The Initiative Crusader is heavily modified from the Milky Way Crusader", and not for the best at all.

No the crusader delay was different. It would shoot where you had aimed it about 0.2 seconds before you had pulled the trigger. Felt odd if you hosted, but became a real pain if there was lag. I think it's gone in MEA. No, that myth was busted. The game doesn't keep track where you aimed before pulling the trigger. Crusader fired from the spot you pulled the trigger to the direction you aimed when you pulled the trigger, but there was ~0.1 second delay before the game actually processed the shot. Essentially the bullet froze in the air for a moment right after exiting the barrel. This is basically correct. Shotgun class in ME3 spread the pellets out over a small period. Unfortunately the Crusader inherited this from the base class, and it's single shot was at the end of the interval instead of the beginning. Caratinoid made a fix for it overriding the spread length. If link to it on my mediafire is still needed, can post later I guess.

Oh, and I tried it in SP and it was pretty underwhelming on my maxed out soldier w turbocharge, at least on insanity.

I had managed to get used to how it acted on the 360 and still loved it, but it was nice not to have to worry about it. I decided to try tweeting to Mike Gamble about it, and if I don't get a reply in a few days, I'll try one of the other devs who's active on Twitter. The Crusader being crap is the hill that I'm willing to die on in this game.

When I started the game I threw $10 at it to buy some top level packs. I got the PAW and the Crusader. I was doing the Snoopy dance until I tried them the first time, then I rage quit and played a different game.
Thanks Bioware!

...There's a reticle, which is fairly large, and the slug can land anywhere in it. So it has standard pellet spread on a single slug shotgun...

Well both the Eagle and Crusader were the two N7 weapons nobody wanted (at first) because they WERE pieces of crap. But it was allright after the buff. The ME:A version is back to ME3 pre-buff levels... The Eagle was always good too. It just wasn't UR level (none of the N7s were). I had both at high levels early on thanks to the weekend challenges, and the only thing that sucked about the Crusader was my aim and not understanding the delay. The Hurricane was pretty average too... Until it became lol. The Eagle with AP Ammo IV, and damage boosters + a pistol or headshot damage gear was amazing on a turian soldier, same for Hurricane. Loved those two weapons. Hoping one day to get a Hurricane higher than III from ME3MP. :| I used that fix once I moved over to PC to play, and it was really nice. I had managed to get used to how it acted on the 360 and still loved it, but it was nice not to have to worry about it. Wasn't the Crusader a complete piece of crap in ME3? Um, no.

If I remember right, my favorite guns in ME3 MP were the Prothean Particle weapon, the Crusader, the Saber and the Geth Plasma Shotgun.
If my name were Saber or Geth Plasma Shotgun, I'd be hiding under my bed hoping the nasty Bioware Boogieman doesn't see me.

I wasn't sure who was best, I knew that Gamble had been fairly responsive at times to things. I won't spam multiple of them, I'll see if he or the main ME account respond, and if they haven't by Monday evening, I'll try one of the ones you suggested.

Bioware logic: It's not at rank X so it doesn't count. Don't worry, you'll only have to grind 500 hours in Gold to max your ultra-rares once you have all of the rares. (unfortunately you don't properly get two rank 4 boosters from premium packs once you've maxed all rares)
Crusader should have perfect accuracy at rank 1, especially considering it doesn't have a scope and is weaker than Vanquisher.

I'm seriously wondering if the devs even played Mass Effect 3 MP. I already know they don't play this game because there's no way in hell anyone with decent QA releases this atrocity.

Active MP Bioware devs on Twitter are; Billy Buskell @ehlien (Seems to be the guy that is the lead producer on it) Fernando Melo DiscoBabaloo (Tech guy) Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon is also rather active, but mostly with single player stuff (He does visit these forums I've seen) Also worth mentioning this Twitter from Mark Darrah; Twitter link

on topic of shotgun accuracy. Look at that i mean the pellets just go in the circle around your aimpoint that means that if you don't aim down sights or shoot from further tan 2 feet away you will hit enemy in the ankles while aiming for head this is just so stupid it makes shotguns nearly unusable on anything but vanguards. Maybe some with accuracy boosts it is not that bad as this is in SP with no investment in the combat threes or any equipment. That's exactly the same spread pattern Piranha had in ME3. Most shotguns aren't like that. However, in ME3 the amount of spread didn't change whether you aimed down the sights or not. I guess that's how chokes work in MEA. Will need some getting used to. Actually, ADS in the last game would reduce shotgun pellet spread by 25%. Dunvi made a thread about it in the old BSN.

Why don't I know that? I've spent many, many hours testing different weapons and their spread patters, accuracy, recoil; taking screenshots, videos etc. and I've never, ever noticed that. Oh well, I used ADS most of the time, so at least I got the benefit. Thanks for letting me know! You learn something new every day...

Except the Graal which worked differently wrt accuracy; and although superficially like a shotgun, the Talon was in the pistol class and was using aim errors instead of preset, rotated pattern.
