Poor Ray (I watched some YouTubes and read some web pages to understand what was going on) So many people crying after Ray dies. So many people ? like other players? He's such a tragic character. And the whole time V is keeping his mouth shut. A (different) forum friend got my onto this game and she adores V. And I'm playing this and thinking... "wow, V is such a liar. Even when he says, "no more secrets" he lies outright to Seven's face about who the Hacker really is. Like, I don't regret V's death on 7's route at all. I'd like to take the Rika/V tragic romance and shove them into a Suicide Box from Futurama. They deserve each other. I told her V was NOT redeemed for me on his route by a long shot! As far as Hawke dying. I never kill Alistair so if the other person is Hawke, rather than Stroud, I make a Hawke that looks nothing like my "real" Hawkes and pretend I don't even know him or her...that's the only way I can let Hawke be killed. I had a lot of anger towards Anders for a while and thought he deserved a dead Hawke. I even made sure to pick a Warden Alistair world state so I wouldn't back out. But I really wrote out the scene for the "what did you do today in DA" thread. So I was channeling Hawke, a Hawke that loved Anders, a Hawke that wanted redemption (had sided Templars and then deeply regretted it). A Hawke that chose saving the Inquisitor over the very likely fate of Anders' suicide when he learned his only Champion and supporter and lover had died. Even angry at him, I got very immersed feeling it all out. Cried for an hour solid and ended up taking the rest of the day off gaming just to pamper myself. I won't repeat that again haha. The only Hawke I'm willing to sacrifice is Isabella's Hawke and that's because I think she would be sad but not tragically sad. She'd just be glad of their time together and embrace life like she always does. I wouldn't touch a Fenris Hawke.

She'd just be glad of their time together and embrace life like she always does. I wouldn't touch a Fenris Hawke. Yes, other players, getting really depressed and crying for hours. Sounds sad enough just reading about it...I don't think I could take the sadness of playing it. I think you are right...Isabella could handle it even if it made her sad. I have an unreasonable attachment to Anders, so I can't do it to him (and he's who my Hawkes almost always romance) and I couldn't do it to Fenris either. But then, even with no romance, I can't kill any of MY Hawkes so I make pretend Hawkes. Up thread, someone mentioned The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and I looked at it on Steam. Looks interesting so I put in on alert for when it goes on sale. Gives me time to decide if I really want to try it. I haven't been able to play at all lately because we've been painting the outside of our house in the mornings and evenings. All that manual labor makes me too tired to play my games.

FNV. Found the Khan's hide out and offered to help the stoners find one of their carriers who got captured by the Legion. Have to travel to the other end of the map to get him. Stopped and made some hamburger out of some Powder Gangers and killed some fire geckos along the way. Since I was in the area, gave some communication upgrades to the ghoul NCR camp and then proceeded to rescue the Khan drug dealer. Yeah, I like a big fuck you in every bite. How did they know? Powder Ganger hamburger! Yum! Actually I prefer my meat to be fully cooked. Cass has fallen down drunk again.

So two games of Madden yesterday.
First one against the New York Jets. Beat them 49-23. It was a lot more of a massacre for them even then that, I walked all over them both on the air and through the ground...or is that supposed to be the other way around. It was like 49-10 at the start of the 4th quarter. Only thing is I did the typical thing and took Brady and most of my starters out in the 4th, which is 'traditional' with that kind of lead. But my backups performed rather miserably turned the ball over a bit and it ended up with the final score.
I think 49-34 in the second game against the Vikings. Had a great first and third quarters but they rallied in the 2 and 4th thanks to me throwing interceptions and turning the ball over, still I then rallied with their rally.

I'd prefer to coat her really, like Arnie did in Predator. Slapping is apparently the devs' idea of a good camouflage. ****** Shadow of the Tomb Raider I've managed to get 100% in the first zone, the second is at 90%. The third zone is driving me crazy. I'm still delaying the main story; taking my time to clear out the adjacent areas to the third zone.

WoW Battle for Azeroth. Leveled another character to 120, mage. Now I have every armor type at max level, so I can farm whatever I want. I'm considering farming herbs for a while, to get gold and buy WoW tokens, since BlizzCon Virtual Ticket is on sale. I could earn it with my current AH stock, but herbs are generally more reliable.
Also new Diablo 3 season is starting soon, so I made small preparations. Not really interested in rewards except getting more pieces of Conqueror set, so once again no try-harding. I like double bounty rewards tho, this might be good season to stock bounty materials for non-seasonal characters.

Finished Diablo 3 campaign with my witch doctor. Will probably just do adventure mode from now on. Still working to get at least one char to level 70. I also might try my hand at "hardcore" mode if I'm feeling masochistic. Not sure what class to use for it though.
Re: the new season - I'll miss the double treasure goblins but double bounty rewards will be more useful, I think.

I was playing Banished for the first time in a long while. I was doing great, I had 600 citizens (biggest amount I ever had I think, I'm not very good at this game), plenty of food and firewood, everyone clothed and educated. And then suddenly people started starving... I still have no idea why. I had about 2000 food still in store, in markets and barns. And yet I lost half of my population in minutes

SohTR Finally came to a point where main story has to be pushed. I finally got the shotgun and climbing gear for slanted surfaces. Had some crazy moments. P.S. There's one thing I really want to tell the bad guys. STFU when you're attacking. I'm locating you by your blabbering so trying to sneak behind Lara while loudmouthing doesn't help you at all.

Finished Torna - the golden county.
I think I need 2 full cups of sugar to balance the ending out. I knew the gist of it from the story of the main-game, but damn.

One guy who hoarded 700 food for his one family, so it still counted towards my total but left my other citizens with nothing to eat. That, or I need waaaaay more food than I thought for all my citizens but I still think they should only start starving when the food is really gone.

SotTR Things have been even, peaceful but that's because I was busy exploring other areas; crypts, tombs. Once I continued with the main story, things got hairy real fast. I was impressed when at once point (cutscene) Lara went all melee against one guy. She has a knife and he has a rifle. Needless to say, stealth is a must from that point onwards because Lara has only the knife. I certainly feel very predatory snaking out from covers to go stabby stab. Then came an event where I went; oy, Lara, he's playing you. So either you let yourself be played or you're a very good actress. Nice scream of rage. Real or not? *thinks* Fortunately, she didn't lose all her equipment when she moves to the 4th zone. I presume Jonah snagged them for her when they were separated. I also dropped into a young streamer's live stream since I saw they were playing RotTR and I was curious on their play style. I left not soon after; the mod's comments on Lara had a immature vibe.

So, a couple of weeks until Assassin's Creed Odyssey... Until then, I notice Ghost Recon Wildlands is 60% off, so let's do it. I like a bit of stealthy gameplay, but I have no suppressed weapons yet? And I only lay down once and already my clothes are muddy, what sort of game is this? EDIT: That's better, a cute Lama tee-shirt. Feel much more cultured now (and less muddy).

Went back to Fallout 4 again after a hiatus. I nowadays seem to really love jumping from one game to another and play them in short(ish) sessions instead of solely focusing on one. Anyhow... My Survival mode Sole Survivor is making some reaaaaally slow progress. She's currently trying to join the Brotherhood of Steel just because she's in love with her power armor and wants some more sweet technology =P. Meanwhile this guy... ... is just busy abusing his Wasteland Whisperer perk

So I actually got both Madden and Farcry 5 in last night. I'll start with Madden first since it'll *probably* be the easier write up. So with my little 'season' done I was pretty confident I had a roster that I was at least 'happy' with. Granted IRL the Patriots did just trade for Josh Gordon so that could throw a wrinkle in the whole thing but I'm not sure he will last either and I doubt he is a better Reciever then say...Danny Amendola. However I did flip Phillip Dorsett and Dwayne Allen for Larry Fitzgerald at my fiancee's behest. So *ahem* my Reciever core is now, it looks like, Julien Edelman, Larry Fitzgerald, Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola, and last but not least Chris Hogan. Tight Ends: Rob Gronkowski, Robert Ryder (sure you guys will probably recognize the name I created him as my one sole evil creation), Running Backs: Dion Lewis, Jeremy Hill, Rex Burkhead and James White....wonder what the NFL thread would think of this roster . So with all this in mind I started a franchise and had to do it over and over again because, in my last franchise, I played as my 'role' as a created Bill Bellichick (since for some inexplicable reason he does not exist in the game) but this time I decided to change it up and play as Tom Brady. I did not realize just what this meant however. Basically from a team perspective I *only* have control over Tom Brady, I did not know this. I have no control over any of the coaching decisions or GM decisions for the team, and nor do I have control over any of the other players when they get the ball like you do if you are a coach or just playing a game outside of franchise. This is a good/ interesting game because I like the camera angles, it seems to be more realistic for some reason...so far, the game is a lot faster paced, and I do not even have to touch my defense. Also I get to 'roleplay'. The bad things about this: One of the reasons I wanted to start a franchise was so I could have pretty much the current roster of Patriots with a few hold overs from last year. For the offense this only sacrificed Mathew Slater it seems but the Defense is a *bit* of a mess. Plus bizarrely enough while I do get to choose the plays I want to while playing I do not get the option of 'going for it' on 4th down. In Far Cry I beat the game. And I did it in one go. And the story sort of fell apart. So if you know what happens in FC 5s ending then you should appreciate this. Running a little experiment I had Adelaid help me by transporting me in Tulip. However as we got close to Joseph's church she effectively raptured right from her pilot's seat plummeting me to my death. I finally made it to the church and Joseph had somehow managed to capture my friends again. He gave me a choice, leave him with his flock and take the rest of my team, or resist. I chose to resist needless to say. So I beat up on Joseph and his goons which triggered the end game...someone sets off a nuclear bomb in Hope County. So here's the thing. I don't *mind* risky games which make a strong statement or twist the usual tropes when it comes to things like player relevance or player choice...as long as they are properly set up. And like with Mass Effect 3 this game really does not make any effort in setting up its ending, at least as that game was first presented. And it would've been easy, they had already established the pattern, could have easily had you go off and assault Joseph's bunker before going after him at his church, through the game that has removed your guns for hire from coming in to help you (which is kinda stupid itself, but it would've given them a golden opprotunity) instead, you have amazing dissapearing helicopter pilots with no explanation given...as far as I know. So the story is choppy and pretty crap at the end of the day and the gameplay, as great as it is, is not enough to make up for it. I give it a tier 3. One day I may do a second PT (I am curious about its NG +) and I will start playing FC 4 soon (which I know has a pretty strong story), but yeah, until then this is my thoughts.

This is the problem with dual protaganist. I'm finally immersed in one character and then I get sucked out and plopped elsewhere. I like Zoe, I do, but it takes me a few minutes not to be resentful about having one story interrupted with another I'm not focused on. I had the same problem. I get all into whatever Kian is doing, I wait impatiently through a (short) loading screen aaaaaand...dammit, Zoe! Then an hour (or whatever) later, the same thing in reverse I didn't mind being interrupted by Saga, though, because I really wanted to know what that was all about. I liked the mystery. This whole story sounds so effed up. Is arbitrary insanity what people play the SIMS for? YES Well, that and...building lots of elaborate houses, walling sims into pools/tiny rooms with no fridges/houses with no fire alarms but lots of fireplaces and watching nature take its course, configuring elaborate mods, and recreating favorite characters from other media so that they can continue living their lives forever and ever. After locating mods to make them look like said characters. I don't torture those in the last group, I swear. Why am I implied to be a jerk for not wanting to kiss a lady I've only met once before?! I thought that was strange, too, especially since Kian is gay. Up til the first kiss, either I didn't pick up on the fact that he's gay, or I missed some scene due to the choices I made, so I let Anna kiss him. He just kind of stands there -- and no wonder! -- but it's a weird scene all around. And Anna is weird and stalkery. In more serious news.... We say goodbye to "The Mole". Her backstory is sad, her goodbye is sad. I believe if I've understood correctly she is literally the last of her race. Is it bad that I was glad I wouldn't have to listen to her ramble anymore? She talks too much. just in time to inform Enu that he is -"NOT interested in women." but Enuuuuuu! Ah, join me on the good ship Kian x Likho! Anyway, I hope you get to play the game again soon and that you'll enjoy the rest of it I really liked it.

This is majorly PC vs Player breaking. s it bad that I was glad I wouldn't have to listen to her ramble anymore? She talks too much I'm always going to have a soft spot for extinct species I guess. She wasn't exactly a nice person. Ah, join me on the good ship Kian x Likho! *sigh* nah. I just don't feel it. Likho is a bit his own worse enemy. Anyway, I hope you get to play the game again soon and that you'll enjoy the rest of it I really liked it. It's keeps uninstalling from my computer. And I'm at a place with slow internet, so it's always like, "I want to play that! oh... two hours to download. Again."

I played The Vanishing of EThan Carter a bit more. Found two creepy houses where I found some hints about something supernatural, sounds a bit lovecraftian. Then I had a vision and found the abode of a witch and some more hints. Now I'm at a graveyard. There are strange lights all over the forrest. All in all deliciously creepy

WoW Battle for Azeroth. Raids reset, so time to farm transmog and mounts again. Of course, from all set, there must be one item that eludes me. Always. Ugh. One good thing about farming is that you can revisit some of your favourite locations. Entrance to Halls of Valor/Trials of Valor remains one of my favourites. Warfront unlocks soon for Alliance, so I'll most likely spam it with my max level characters for gear look. There was also Dragon Age related conversation on Trade Chat, where Sten was explaining his first order as Arishok, of course concerning cookies. When I called him softie, "Parshaara, we will never speak of this again." and didn't talk again. It was gold
