KoA Still hanging out in the desert. Finished the Warsworn quest line. There's supposed to be a stash chest at the mining camp but I can't find it....maybe I need to do some more errands for them first? As it is, I still need a bigger backpack.

Ok, in the wake of the recent shitstorm (or shall we call it a shit-blizzard ) concerning the diablo series, I actually started up good old Dib3 again and found a level 15 demon huntress, that I abandoned early in Act 1 about 2 years ago. picked her back up and restarted the story mode for the cool videos and all the dialogue and lore. Initially, I found her extremely underwhelming to play on Master difficulty and was about to switch to a monk or something when I found the Hellcat Wasteband and holy crap, she became a frickin' death machine with that thing and cluster grenades. A few hours later, I came across the Sin Seekers quiver. Now I am basically just using rapid fire with the bombardment rune and machine gun entire levels with self replicating grenades of doom, yeah. One day later, I am in Act V, about 25 paragon levels up and playing on Torment 4 difficulty ... and I just wanted to go through the story. I love Diablo 3 for that. there are these synergies, that you have to figure out (and/or get lucky to get the right items for). It's like this box with multiple doors on each side. You just keep turning it around in your hands until you find one door, which you have a key for and than all of a sudden, the box opens up and marvelous things happen. I am by no means a pro player in this game (and don't want to be, way too much effort) but even little things like that are super fun. Really a shame they didn't announce Dib 4, but some shady mobile game last week. I still hope they are making a proper one anyway at some point.
P.S.: Also like the huntresses snide comments, for example in the Caldeum sewers in Act 2:
Templar Kormac: Now we see what this city is built on, a foundation of rot and corruption Demon Huntress: I have yet to encounter a well lit and pleasantly scented sewer.
Oh snap.

So on the Madden front I played the AFC Divisional game. Beat the losing team Bengals 41-17. Fairly routine game all things told, hell was even tempted for a second to bring in my backup. Went for it repeatedly on fourth down and picked it up a handful of times just to keep the preassure up.
On the Fallout front I am beginning to run into a resource crunch. Granted this could be just because I really built up my resources in too many of the back areas but then those are more or less my central hubs. Also unlocked Greygarden and Sommerville place. Also dealt with the Forgers in Saugus Ironworks solved a crime with the Valentine detective agency and also picked up a bounty. It was a bit curious with Doctor Crocker...was he trying to swap his face out? I am not entirely sure I understood what was going on. Oh and the Lattimore's are sending me hitmen in Diamond City.

I finished AC Odyssey for the second time two days ago. Each protagonist has qualities that make them enjoyable and worth experiencing. I’m actually still in the mood to play this game, but I don’t want to restart from Level 1 all over again. If NG+ were part of the game, I’d jump right back into it. As it is, I’ll dip in as new stuff is added, but will likely not replay it until NG+ is added.
Good game. In a year without RDR2 or similar giants, this definitely could’ve been a GotY.

Made some burgers and beer for a witch burning ceremony in Graveyard Keeper. Haven't attended it yet, but I'm guessing it will be lit. Also got a jewelry setup going, except it needs faith which I'm still short on. But am getting more after crafting a silver combo prayer and getting some cushy benches for the church. Did a bit of dungeon delving. Of course the basement has spiders, why wouldn't it. The bats on the lower levels are also on fire, so good for them I guess. Things are getting kind of crazy down there, since there is this gloop monster with a mask face there and it's just all sorts of nope. And main quest inched a bit forwards and my guesses were wrong, but did pop in my mind when I was speculating. So not a complete failure at guessing, but no success either.
So all in all a fun session. A bit more productive than usual since my points were lining up so I could do a bunch of stuff I had been delaying. But still there was much lollygagging to be done.

My Skyrim character, who's the harbinger of the companions (and kept his werewolf ability) is being sent to Cidna mines. Whatever will he do? Hehe. One of my most favorite experiences in Skyrim was during one of my first playthroughs. Reached the point in the quest when the guards tried to take you away to the Mine and just went full werewolf on them all. I think I ended up slashing through every single guard in the city before escaping. My bounty was stupid large.

Tonight I sorted out some skooma dealers.
My eyes are up here, mate.
Killing the undead. Pretty much all Deathlords now.
Ooh, betrayed. Didn't see THAT coming at all. Even though I've done the Thieves Guild quest before, it's still really obvious.
Handily she wants me to go to Winterhold, which is where I have to go for the main quest and this annoying amulet thing. What a coincidence of planning.
Oh, btw: vonuber : What kind of graphics mods are you using for Skyrim? those screenshots - especially the lighting and the particle effects - look awesome.
Purely for world graphics it's just these:

So attended the Witch burning in Graveyard Keeper and found that providing food there gave me Faith along with cash money, so might attend more in the future. Also did a bit of dungeon creeping and some other stuff. But the lollygagging started to wear on me. So ended up loading up Skyrim SE and had a bit of a journey. No pictures just some ramblings. Was sure I glitched the game by trying to ride the dragon, but my hand was just a bit too far on the left so I was pushing D instead of S like I planned. Oops.
Ditched what's his face at the exit and kept on to Falkreath. Stumbled upon a shrine to Talos and got some snazzy new garbs which would make any Stormcloak like me. Hehe.
Found a fisherman camp along the way and stole his salmon, but he saw it (well how could he not, I practically grabbed it in front of his nose) and took it back, scolding me. Then he readied his axe and ran off to fight some bandits. I provided moral support and some arrows from the safety of the bank. He died and I mopped up the bandit who headed towards me. Looted him and then the river pushed the fisherman and the other bandit to my shore. And, erm, the fisherman had an arrow in his neck, but both of the bandits wielded axes. So...oops? So positioned the bodies convincingly in the camp, stole a few trinklets and took the salmon back.
Then onto Falkreath. Had some beer for the Thane so he sent me out to fight bandits. On the way I found a fox and followed him for a while, straight to a Fort with some Orc Hunters. Bastards shot at me, so the hunters became the hunted. Raided their fort as well for food and gold, then slept in their beds since it was getting late. Considered dragging one of their carcasses to snuggle up to but decided not to.
Then continued on to the bandit camp. Was going to stealth kill a wolf but a stray dog had already dealt with him and his friends. Then he decided to join me in killing bandits and was a most welcome support. Didn't even get mad when I lit him on fire, but maybe he knew that it was a bit his fault standing in a oil spill. But the bandit who was standing in front of him got fuming mad and burned out.
So headed back to Falkreath and stumbled on an alchemist tent on the way. There was a notebook there which detailed where he went, so we went to investigate. And of course there was a spriggan there. Which would have been fine, since I managed to down another one a few moments back. But it had friends in form of two other Spriggans and we ended up quite dead. Which was the first death of the session and a decent stopping point.
So took a break and installed some companion mods, because I get this huge pit of loneliness in my stomach when ever I play vanilla Skyrim and while Stenvar is the greatest, he just cannot fill that hole. So went back to Falkreath and got permission to buy a house, which I couldn't really afford. Oops. So went to the bar to drown my sorrows and found one of the companions. His voice is a bit squeaky, but he sings a little and that makes up for it. Delivered some ashes for about three steps to Runil, who then sent us to the butt end of nowhere. Accidentally stole a wooden plate and got a whooping bounty of 1 gold. Dropped it on the floor and paid that massive sum at the gate, since we want to keep a good rep in Falkreath so we can meet the Thane.
Went and got Runil's book and found a new cave I'd never seen before. Southfringe Sanctum. Ended the session after getting back out and googled the place to see if it was added with the companion mods or just a hidden vanilla treat. It was the latter and also found out that there is somebody webbed inside there which we did not free. Maybe they'll get lucky and I remember them next time I load up the save. Or maybe they'll just starve, all alone.
But anyways, had a quite a bit of fun. I do like my lady's face, even if I might have over indulged on the jaw width. Did not take any good pictures of her face, so you'll have to take my word for it.

The Makron is dead and Quake 2 is now complete. The next phase of the FPS challenge begins.
Must say I really enjoyed playing Quake 2 once again, it's been such a long time since I played - maybe as long as twelve years. End boss is as ridiculously easy as ever, but there's a wicked-cool animation when he dies, leaving twitching semi-robotic body parts strewn on the ground, still whirring and moving.
I'd actually forgotten the location of many of the secrets, and, to make matters worse, ended up getting a bit confused and lost in the Upper Palace area (which is quite labyrinthine with multiple exits, entrances and side passages). Still it's all done now. I decided to skip playing the mission packs as I kind-of feel that doing so would lose me momentum. I'm all eager to begin the next one in the challenge.
Half Life. Played on original GoldSource engine. Not the Source version of the game that was released after HL2.
There are pretty-much no fan-made visual mods, texture packs etc. (at least ones that work) available for the original Half Life, which is absolutely staggering given the game's popularity, so I'll be playing it unmodded, save for the official Valve high res model pack.

Aw man, did I get sucked back into Diablo 3. Finished the story with the huntress ( Rascoth : you were right, the dialogue with the sister is quite nice, only time I actually wished for dialogue options in a Diablo game ). Man, Malthael is a SOB, I had to take the difficulty down to Torment 2 in order to beat him, otherwise a few of his attacks would just insta-kill me. Anyway, after that, I did some bounties with her and found a green treasure goblin on the way who opened a portal to "the vault", yay!!! I made over 21 million gold and 400 blood shards within about 5 minutes in there. I then invested some blood shard into mystery helmets in the hopes of getting another piece of the Unhallowed Essence set but no such luck, instead, I think I got some hood for the necromancer, which I don't even own. So I decided that this was enough fun with the huntress for now and I started up a female Crusader. Ironically, while on the quest to find king Leoric's broken crown, I found his quite intact crown ... twice. I equipped one with a flawless royal ruby and now I am level 25 already, before even meeting good old Leoric. Maybe I should just play a season hero and not do all these shenanigans but I wanted to see what happens if I equip a flawless royal topaz on a low level socketed weapon and get 38.000 thorns damage. I was expecting to see enemies explode as soon as they touch me but I didn't find a socketed weapon yet and the higher I level the less fun it's gonna be. Ah, we'll see.

One day you should equip lvl1 character with lvl70 weapon that has level requirement removed (lvl 25+ Gem of Ease), as well as Hellfire Amulet and Ring with two more legendary gems leveled to 25+... It is glorious, I tell ya. You should totally try seasonal character. Trying to complete seasonal challenges is additional fun

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I think it would take about 2 years to achieve even one of those goals. I mean, I actually always considered myself a fairly dedicated gamer and I like to play Dib3 but that level of commitment is just downright unrealistic.
Still gonna go farming a it longer though. It's fun enough for my casual self.

Although conquest battles are not realistic, it's enjoyable to beat the stuffing out of the opposition. Events that happened; * topped the mercenary list and received a Phobos skin * jumped off a sync point and landed to see a strange vista * tried to climb past a pool, Kass's grip slipped and she landed outside but the game registered that she's in the pool so she ended up swimming in midair outside the pool for a while * a mercenary arrived after a fight. He didn't try to fight Kass but remarked; You call yourself a mercenary? That earned him a trip to Hades I cannot contemplate any other armour for Kassandra. She is a Spartan through and through. Justice for everything you have done, old woman, destroyer of lives and families Strange vista The new Phobos skin I have trouble in some games, with motion sickness, when I play. Can't believe it but just looking at the third picture made me dizzy.

The game is pretty stable, considering the size and scope; but there are certainly hiccups here and there. I once went swimming in midair in Athens’ agora, complete with sound effects. I fast-traveled out of it.

When the trailer of "Beyond Good and Evil 2" came out in this year E3, I saw someone commenting that he was going to buy because of it has a anthropomorphic pig. Probably it was mostly a joke, but to me it's a legitimate selling point. I'm glad that more AAA games are taking chances with unusual settings and concepts. And shortly after, I bought the first game.
I started playing and thought it was fun, but other things and games happened and just now I got resolute in finishing it. And it's such a fun and solid game with lots of things to do, stealth sections, races, great mini-games, likeble characters. For and old games, it's impressive.
Then there's the ending. One of the most random revelations of all times. Not even ME3 ending without the Leviathan DLC comes closer. It didn't stain the rest of the game, but they should have given more clues along the story.
I'm interested in the BGaE2. Looks gorgeous, but it appears to be too ambitious.

Loads of Skyrim today. Mostly text but also some pictures in spoilers. Made another lady, a nord this time, because I am a chronic restarter. Made a bee line for Windhelm since I mentioned Stenvar last time around and missed him fiercely. Did make a pit stop at some bandit camps to get some cozy fur armor. Also got way laid by some silly bandits posing as Imperial soldiers, which pretty much marked them for dead. After nabbing Stenvar I also picked up a mod npc named Kaidan (not a biotic one, sadly) and realized he has a very lovely voice. They did a bit of travelling and ended on cleaning some mages out of a fort. Which was a nice showcase of how beastly those two are. That is Stenvar and Kaidan. Nord girl was just okay. Took some pictures. Her face. Trying to hug a wild dog. With an axe. Punching mages. With an axe. Didn't end up doing much more with her since my mind wandered elsewhere. Decided to load up the other girl but the saves were missing. Have had it happen before so was kinda chill, but a bit nervous when I didn't have cloud synced or anything, but the saves were in my documents. So load up the game and get a chuckle, since SE gave me the much wanted feature of separate character saves. So loaded up the other girl and continued her journeys. Saved the lady in the cocoon and then returned to Falkreath with the book. Sold some stuff and did some moonlighting as a farmer and was able to buy the land and become Thane. Yay. Also realized I was calling the Jarl Thane. Ooops. Anyways, went and visited the land, built the foundation and then went looking for nails. Ended up raiding the Embershard Mine, which I conveniently had a bounty for in Falkreath. Then later realized that most of the materials were in the chest, but still, bounty for 100g is nothing to sneeze at. Either way, she now has a small little house near Falkreath and there is a lady with a curved sword guarding it. Could life be any better? Felt bad for the companion because he signed on for ADVENTURE and just got to tag along for house building instead. So figured I'd at least take him to Dwemer museum. So made the trek to Markath with some stops on the way. Assaulted a fortress with some Forsworn and somewhere in there I realized that my faithful hound had gone missing. Looked top and bottom for his body and found none. So decided to allow myself some black magic and consoled him back into the party. Because he truly is the best boy. Otherwise there wasn't too much shenanigans, except I did get turned around half way there and was going backwards for quite a while before realizing it and turning back around. Ended the session by getting the key to the museum and checking it out. And the damn follower wasn't even impressed. Granted he wanted a specific Dwemer ruin and probably a bit more danger, but still! It's a nice museum! So rented a room at the inn and called it a night. Her dopey face and the best-est of boys. Then made an Orc fellow. He took the imperial path and made a bee line for Whiterun. Grabbed a mod npc named Sofia and did the beginning of the main quest, aka getting stones, killing a bit lizard and preparing mentally for the biggest stairmaster of his life. He also got a melee finishing move on the lizard, which was nice. The fact that the camera was behind the lizard was not that nice, since I spent most of the move just seeing it's bum and lamenting that I didn't know how to get a free camera to get a proper view of the action. Also realized that the companion command thingie lets me tell them to pick the locks on chests, so I'm not constantly levelling up because of that skill. Which was grand. No pictures of him, since I never did manage to catch any good ones of his face. Which is sad because he also pulled off a couple of cinematic kills but my camera finger was too slow. But still, had fun.
