Sorry for a double posting but I managed to sneak in another couple hours:
-Managed to get the Alien off the station and spiraling into a gas giant. From here on out everything is uncharted territory. -The Androids didn't take kindly to the little escapade and started going ham. I haven't fired my gun(s) this much during my whole time with the game. It feels wonderful to be able to shoot without having a certain someone showing up. -A bunch of people got killed by the droids and a major character just sacrificed himself. Now its on to the station's computer core to find out what the heck is going on.

Been playing a bit of Sims lately since I got in a bit of a tiff with Keepsake when it crashed for the second time. Didn't loose much progress, but the place is a bit tricky to navigate through so it was a bit too daunting to start it up again.
So gave it another go with a liberal use of the clues (since I figure it has no bearing on the achivos). A bit less charming than before because of the navigation issues, but still pretty nice. I really like it when there is a lot to do in one place, because the scenery is real pretty. And heck, travelling between areas is also pretty amazing since it does play around a little with perspectives and stuff. Might nab some screenies next session.
As for what was done did: a bit of potion brewing, a bit of animal interrogations, some puzzles and then we visited the library and played with orbs. So just your casual magical school day.

So yesterday didn't get too much done yesterday all things considered. Only puttered around with my settlements and trying to knock off as much of the warning labels as I can in my pre exisisting settlements before moving on and doing anymore of the story or anything else really. I think I just have a handfull of them next.
Only real thing that was funny was when I went back to report in to Preston about finishing up one of the settlement quests for him he basically yelled at me that another one did. THen when puttering around Red Rocket (who says they needed more food) I was passing by him and he started off with his 'another settlement needs help'. I screamed IRL, tried to back up in the game, but it was far too late.
Bit torn on it because A. I hate the ambient quests but B. I want to get more of the map explored to lead to more quests (which can be done with these quests sending me to hopefully new areas) and C. I want more settlement locations and the easiest way to get those is to talk to PG and get the new 'taking point' quests. I mean either this game is really empty or I am still missing quests. Or most of the areas exist for the ambiant stuff.

So another day of exploring and killing and exploring and killing in AC Odyssey, some witty moments yesterday in Pephka doing silly minotaur quests and then some fighting in the Arena of which Kassandra became champ. Mixed things up with my build when I found a lesser "Epic" sword and replaced my fire based Legendary sword. My new sword has a 20% poison bonus so rebuilt Kassandras abilities around poison instead of flame and she is now even more of a death machine. The game got an update today that allows you to use any armour look from any piece that you have already looted and transpose that onto your current gear which is just brilliant. I was quite happy with my look but was able to tweak it and make the colours work a bit better, well I think

KoA Finished up things in Adessa, completed the Travelers quest (set up the Hierophant for a fall - kinda disappointed it turned out to be just a normal person and not something more demonic/evilish). Since I don't think I'll be playing this game again any time soon, I'm gonna go back to one of the early areas to run through the House of Ballads quest line. I wasn't too keen on doing it since only Fae are (so far) heroes of the house, but since I'm already a master thief, the new Archsage, a tournament champ, and a Truesworn I figured, why not be an even more extra special snowflake?

Fallout 4. Jen's motto is "Killing is my business and business is good". That would make a cool title for a heavy metal album. Went to Lynnwoods and killed some raiders. Well only one, the rest of them were being torn to pieces by the deathclaws. Jen really did enjoy watching that before she turned the deathclaws into meat. Went to Longneck Lukowski's Cannery to see what was going on there. Heard some unsavory rumors about the meat there. Met some hot Vault 81 babe there. Cait backhanded Jen when she was going googly eyed with the Vault 81 trader. Had to kill that Mr. Collins, because ghoul meat is so gross. I ain't got time for your dumb ass. Well... what do we have here? You walked all of those stairs thinking you were escaping death? LOL. Wrong! Say hello to my little friend. I see you down there, synthetic abomination! Lot of those pics I am using the Avenger mini gun from a weapons mod. The way I have it modded it out, its very overkill. 756 damage. Its sounds just like the mini gun from the A-10 Warthog. I only use it when I don't want to screw around with anything. Otherwise I use my Barrett and take head shots to make the game interesting.
Nice.
But I just can't help but think how heavy that thing would be (that much damage sounds about right, damn thing is a 30mm, firing DU API rounds with crazy penetration).
Here seen next to a VW Beetle:
That is certainly a lot bigger than what appears sticking out of the nose of the plane.
Problem with the Fallouts after F2 them dumbed down the mini guns. Their accuracy is crap, their damage is a joke. Fallout 1 and 2 they were overkill, one hit kill weapons as they should be. You get hit by a min gun and there will be nothing left of you. Fallout 4 got a little better but not much. Fallout 3 and New Vegas, they're a joke. The Weaponsmith Mod did a good job in bringing mini guns back to being deadly. And with the Ammo mod, I have my Avenger mini gun calibrated to .50 BMG. That Weaponsmith mod has a lot of neat weapons, too bad it doesn't have the S.A.W.

Fallout 4. Went to Vault 75 and cleansed the place of Gunner vermin. They're idiotic like Talon Company was in F3. Have to say those Vault Tek people are truly evil POS with their experiments. The Barrett .50 BMG. I never fired an actual Barrett before but the gun from this mod is quick firing. Killed two Gunners before they even had a chance to raise their weapons and I didn't use VATS. Playing games like Fallout I prefer to snipe people from a distance. Best way to stay alive. This scum was killed in VATS, he didn't need his head any more. One of two Gunners killed in free fire. Both head shots. In VATS, someone is going to get a Crithit.

Played Path of Exile for the first time. Quite enjoying it, for some reason it is the only game I've played for more than few hours that doesn't make me feel the need to min max to one specific build, to feel like I am playing the game the "right away". Guess that only works for the first 10-20 hours.

Playing a lot of mobile games. Match 3 can be damn addicting As for non-mobile gaming... Destiny 2. Created another hunter. Don't ask me why, I don't know myself why I felt like restarting. But I feel much better with this character. I got to the same spot I was with my previous hunter before taking a break. WoW. 14th anniversary rolled in so time to put my favourite glasses on (I'm still salty I can't wear them whole year as transmog) and farm old world bosses. I'm mostly hunting for certain old plate gauntlets transmog which I missed last year (despite having 4 plates trying for them every day). This year they added hands down the best toy ever. What does it do? Transform all friendly NPCs and players into corgi, with all adorable corgi animations As for my tiny Allods problem... haven't resolved it yet. I might try installing it on my laptop just to take my items out of mail, since as with most mmos, it gets deleted with time and I had over 20 costumes, which I snatched dirt cheap from AH, put up for sale.

You couldn't finish that level without using the smart methods. then, this level... shitload of demons ran out of Ammo (too many flying skulls) and now I have problems in the next mission... it took very long compared to previous levels

Also Started Unreal - Return to Napali which I hadn't played b4. 1st mission is kinda meh... killed like 10 big aliens. I hope the next area is more interesting. or I'll have to reconsider it, and just seldom play multiplayer maps with bots!

Really do feel sorry for the Falmer. I wish there was a quest to rehabilitate or explore them further. We basically just turn up and murder them in their homes. Anticlimactic fight #2156. Two standing dual wielding power attacks - where you hit 3 times per attack - pretty much finished him off. One handed is up to 93 and am using enchanted dragonbone swords, so not that surprising.

Played some more Keepsake today. Did a few puzzles and skipped two, one was the flip tiles like in MotA for Dragon age (except just had to flip certain tiles, not all and just couldn't wrap my head around it) and the other was moving numbers between rotating rings to make them line up, but each ring did a different thing and after half an hour or so I just decided I was too dumb for this thing. But I did manage like three other puzzles, so I'm not a complete moron. Just mostly. Also got a nice cutscene and I really shouldn't giggle so much but the father character just comes of as savage. He's supposed to be all stoic and serious, but he's just way to blunt. I love it. Then the kid is uber soft in return, so the contrast makes it pretty funny. Then I got a real sweet tale about stars. So that was nice too. Then the game crashed. Granted I had been expecting it and had saved shortly before and my friend had just contacted me if I wanted to play Sims with her, so it all worked out. Not playing my main family in Sims, so no need to recount what happened, but I will tell you that I question my doctor sims abilities when he thinks squirting mayo and stirring the organs counts as surgery. Granted he did pull out a plunger from that one fellows stomach, so I'm probably the one who's being silly. Did start up Keepsake again later in the evening and ended up finishing it. A bit of alchemy, some puzzles and then the grande finale. And while I did giggle during most of the cutscene's in game, that last one almost had me crying. Mostly because I was having some similar thoughts, but still. Also stars. Then the game crashed, saving me from bawling my eyes out. But since there was an achivo for watching through the credits, I ended up reopening the game and playing through the last cutscene in French. Because French makes things more playable. Granted I don't speak a word of it so the ending was a bit less impactful, but the credits were the same. So it was all good. Now I just need to get around and replaying a bit of the beginning for the rest of the achivos. But I really liked this game, a bit janky but with quite a few clever ideas, bunch of puzzles, nice scenery and the story was quite fun. Happy I gave it a go.

So one of the quests led me to Medford hospital...an area that I had already been to.
It did occur to me something about the Bethesda experience in general at that point. In BioWare's offerings...or CD Project Red's...or Ubisofts...is that they only have certain designated fast travel areas on the map, camps, signposts, etc. Now I like fast traveling everywhere I can to avoid walking to destinations and stuff but it never occured to me that the signpost method might actually be superior because it actually leads you to go out and explore and find quests out there in the world, where if you can cleverly design your map would be enough to actually help you find obscure little things.

I decided to see if I had a build strong enough for legendary content in The Division. My PUG made it to the last wave before the final bosswavething in Warrengate. Then we kept wiping. And no, my build isn't really there yet. Close but not really close enough. Finished the dailies and and went on to run some survival. Getting better at it but I need better crafted weapons against the hunters. My purple MMR didn't damage him/her nearly enough to finish the job. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in one day they say. Now it is time for Appalachia moments in Fallout 76.

Finished House of Ballads and, yep, now an even more special snowflake. Is the dialogue slightly different for a male character vs female? Seems like it would be, even beyond the title you end up with.
Now scouring various areas for the rest of the lorestones since my "Detect Hidden" skill is maxed out. I have quite a bit of backtracking to do to get them all, before I head back to Rathir to move ahead with the main story.

Alien Isolation. Session Five. Holy. Shit... I was spoiled this next sequence a long time ago but to experience it first hand is something else. Jesus, my heart still feels the scares. As it turns out, Weyland-Yutani, the big and bad megacorporation, purchased the Sevastopol space station and is actively working to protect the Alien. But its gone right? Nope. There's a whole hive of the suckers in engineering. And I had to go through it -Androids were everywhere. Worse part about it was that I was stripped of my weapons and had to use almost every improvised weapon in my disposal in a single area. The kicker is I discovered a way to destroy the androids using some environmental hazards but only after killing them all by hand and draining my lovely stockpile of homemade goodies in the process... -I jumped into my first Alien since killing the other. The 'thrower was the only option because it spotted me, and it seemed to work. Problem was I was in its way to the only 'escape' area it had and it killed me as it tried to run past me. Got a good scare outta me, it all happened in just seconds. -Just as I was about to leave another Alien jumped down behind me. I strangled my controller in an effort to blast him. -Had to deal with even more Androids after perusing through the yucky area and ate through all my ammunition. But at the very least a couple of robots aren't the only things I'll be running into now, right? Not my clip, but this is what I just faced:
Well, my next session should be a ride, that's for sure.

So in Fallout 4 the good news...I have quests again. The bad news is I am not quite sure how many of them are ambient or not. My journeying at first took me to start 'Butcher's Bill 2' where I tracked down the last agent of Safehouse Augusta to a area and they were quite dead. Alas this brought me right back to the Railroad HQ where sure enough I tripped the next part of 'the molecular level'. But then it also gave me the interesting quest where PAM wanted me to set up a new safehouse, in a new settlement. Quite an interesting turn of events given I was hoping the minutemen would be willing to do that. Still gotta get ready to zip down to the Instutitute soon.

KoA is a game that I remember as full of potential, but ultimately soulless. The House of Ballads is the storyline I most enjoyed. I completed it “early” in the game and expected similar levels of intricacy from later story arcs. I felt like nothing else lived up to it, though. I just started my third PT of AC Odyssey. My first was 150 hours, and my efficient second was 130 hours (ballooned to 150 by post-release content). Starting a third might make me crazy. The thing is, I really enjoy this game. It’s great to be back with Alexios. Kassandra is fabulous in every way, but I think Alexios is my favorite. His passion, humor and amazing facial expressions make me love him. The new Visual Customization feature (transmogrification) is the best ever of its kind. You can alter the appearance of any and every piece of gear (3 weapons and 5 armor items is a standard loadout) whenever you wish. Your visual options come from what you’ve found in-game and your present character level. This means that your options are endlessly expanding. It’s easy, instantaneous, unlimited and free. I’ll want this for every game I play from this point. Ubi has really become great at listening to quality fan feedback and letting that continuously shape their games. Only 6 weeks in, Odyssey is dramatically improved from its impressive launch state. I really look forward to all of the free stuff upcoming and the two paid DLC stories (over 6 chapters) that will arrive from December into next year. I had doubts pre-release, but this game has proven to be a lot of fun.
