Watching X4 Foundations on Twitch to make a decision on whether to get this game. Graphics look good. Tutorial sections however, are brief and at times, confusing. There're no visible guiding icons. The streamer spent 5 - 8 minutes wandering around on the space station trying to find a NPC and a crafting station. Scan mode does not clearly indicate found objectives / targets. The learning curve for this game seems pretty deep and requires a lot of patience. Yea, but thats every X game though. Not just this one.
Edit: in FO4 last night, I got ready to head into the glowing sea again for the BOS. I was going to take that first robotic companion with me, but now I'm thinking I might want to take piper with me instead. I still have the old suit of power armor I went in originally. I could just give her 20 of my 68 fusion cores, stick her in that suit, and take her with me instead...Or just take nick with me...anyone have any recommendations? I'm very pro-brotherhood in this run, and piper is my romance this time. So I could just give her a pipe rifle, and a thousand rounds of .38 special and go (thats what I gave nick during our run to the island DLC, and he still has 900 rounds left).

Allods. Finished Umoir and Dane questlines, at least to the point where you recieve raid quests. Poor things, gonna stay unfinished, since I have no raiding plans. My Priden girl just leveled to 74 and started questline you get on lvl70... so yeah, still outleveling most shit. Got a quest called Big Kaboom, from Kaboom Family, who are Cannoneers. I'm definitely not letting them out of my sight, someone has to make sure these crazy hamsters Gibberlings don't kaboom wrong thing.

Just an observation on Odessy. I heard a lot about the grind and microtransactions in this game but so far I haven't really noticed it. I'm still in Phokis which is max level 13 I think and I'm level 15, and just looking around exploring and doing stuff. I can't say what it will be like in the later game but for now it's not an issue. I can see it being an issue if I had just ignored the world and mainlined the main quest though. Being level 68 myself (with 8 levels extra because I was 50 before the patch), I can safely confirm that a real grinding phase is never an issue in this game at all. Maybe ... maybe if you really only wanted to do the main quest and absolutely nothing else at all, you might be under leveled at some point but seriously, what RPG doesn't have that issue. If you only do some of the "big" side quests and some of the exploration you can just do along the way anyway, I don't think you'll ever have an issue with level requirements at all. I actually only know one guy who brought up the grind (he's from a German games website I read) and for him, I already know that he is not doing any side quests in RPGs, so I don't take him seriously for such things anyway. So yea, Odyssey has a few issues but this is not one of them IMO.

Fair warning: don't play Teeth of Naros if you have vertigo/dizziness/don't like heights. Holy sheesh....wandering the "open air sewers" far above the ground is a nightmare for keeping one's balance. I am not great with heights and AC Odyssey has several moments where I have to tell myself, its just a game, its just a game

Lollygagged in Pathfinder and managed to take down a big boy Water Elemental, a hangry troll and even a Greater Werewolf. The Wererats on the other hand promptly skewered us. Dirty rats. Not ready for reading so pretending to be planning how to over come them. Oh and also realized you need to memorize your spells. Was feeling a bit miffed over the other cleric having way more spell options than me despite us being the same level. Hehe.
Also started another character, just for laughs to check some stuff in the prologue. He kinda ended up charming me a little, even if some adjustments are needed. So yeah, bunch of fun in Pathfinder.
Been a bit curious about how save files are handled in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Is it just all in one folder or can you split it between characters? As in could I have two Kassandra's going on and easily switch between them or is it like Skyrim/Witcher and you have to remember dates/file names. Can you have more than one save or are you stuck with just the one?

Hey Obsidian Gryphon unrelated question, do you know what triggers the quest "An Actors Life for Me" and the subsequent "A-Musing Tale" apparently its something to do with speaking to "Aristophanes" in Perikles house but I have no quest marker and I need to do these to get one of my last cultists?

I started playing Lords of the Fallen, I never got very far, I spent most of the time scouring the net for how to drink a health potion. All the answers online where for people with the X-box or PS4 versions. The GOG version doesn't come with a manual, but I eventually found a manual from the Steam version. I've never played a game that doesn't let you save when you want, so when I picked up a gauntlet and the game froze, I lost all my progress and uninstalled the game. I since read on line that that is a common bug and you just have to push shift and W to unfreeze it.

When the Black Friday sales were up and running I snagged several of the Survivor Mode packs for Alien Isolation.
I never really put much thought to the mode but its rather thrilling. You have a time limit, objectives that will expire in a set amount of time and, naturally, an Alien constantly in the mix. Its not like the story, where you can stockpile supplies and gadgets and ensure you always have something to turn the tables, in Survivor Mode you're forced to use a limited amount of stuff and you have to use it wisely.
I've watched a few pros knock out some of the levels on YouTube and will make a much less panicked attempt next go around. When I first jumped in my first instinct was to head for the escape as quickly as possible without paying too much attention to objectives and my score.

in FO4, I did what I suggested I might do. I put piper in power armor, gave her a gun and 2k rounds. Though I didn't give her the .38 that nick was using. Instead, I got a rifle from far harbor, that uses 5.56 ammo. And I had like 2k rounds for that thing. So I gave her that rifle, with all my ammo. I also made it back to civilization, after doing some more exploring in the glowing sea. While there, we did meet a rad scorpion that bugged out. It went underground and stayed there. And piper just kept shooting at it. She used like 300 rounds, just trying to kill it. Finally go her to stop firing by entering a building. I'm also completely out of aluminum for repairs and upgrades to her new armor. So...thats a thing. And I'm perpetually short on adhesive. I'm growing the ingredients in all my settlements, and I'm still never having enough.

Been playing Destiny 1 on XBoxOne, because I originally had this on PS3 and could not get the Rise of Iron expansion. Also, just felt like redoing the whole campaign for fun with a Hunter class, since that is my toon in D2, but not in D1. Finished The Taken King expansion earlier this week and have been working on the various post-story quests. These mostly consist of grindy tasks to go get some Taken boss to spawn and then kill it. Still, I am enjoying the game, and teaming up with other players to take out random bosses. One difference I have noticed is that the enemy AI on Destiny 1 seems markedly better than 2. Its noticeable how the Hive wizards routinely duck behind cover and force you to approach to finish them off, or the Taken hobgoblins reinforce each other with shields while themselves staying in the rear, or will switch to reinforcing whoever you attack. Also, the Legendary weapon drop rate is much lower, and I end up using the rare weapons just because those that are more useful. I still miss my bow though.

Also started a new playthrough in Oblivion after 10 years to play the expansions. The graphic and gameplay are surprisingly good enough. I loved playing Oblivion, modded to the hilt. Listening to the sound track, while working out, makes me want to play it again but I'm not sure my favorite mods are still available.

Allods. Reached max lvl80 and I *think* I finished most main storylines. Of course there's bunch of things that unlocked on lvl80 (including new level-based system), but as for story, I think I don't have much left. To be honest, both 70-75 and 75-80 storylines (and leveling) flew by. Both took place in Greece inspired place, with new, statue-like race. There's even Narcissus Yes, he does talk to himself every time I pass And here's my character, who recently achieved Greatness. Literally, you get "Great" added before your class, so in her case she's Great Trapper . For now.

Not common knowledge, but I bought the DCS F/A-18C Hornet.
So after work today, I spent some time doing gun-only dogfights, further familiriazing myself with active radar guided missiles (AIM-120C AMRAAM) and IR guided missiles (AIM-9X Sidewinder). Some beyond-visual-range bomber interception, lots of gun kills...
...and then I tried the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System. Could only get a single AIM-9X on target with it, still don't understand how it works, other than it showing my speed and altitude even when I'm not looking at my HUD. I can get 9X's on target all day when I use the classic boresight locking method, however.
Then I learned how to use the AGM-65G Maverick anti-tank guided missile and only had minor successes with it (out of eight or so missiles only two were properly tracking) before becoming seriously fed up with that one anti-air truck and just using the big ol' Mk84 I had on my centerline pylon to blast it to Kingdom Come using the awesome Continuously Calculated Impact Point method that just paints where the bomb will land on my HUD.
With a little ferry flying I then learned about fuel consumption (the easy way, because the Support page has a convenient fuel page I brought up on my left display) when burning at full afterburner, at mil power and lastly at minimal power.
All in all, it was a good day despite spending a total of 14 hours at work.
Tomorrow, I might refresh my TACAN knowledge and keep familiarizing with the radar functionality (it's not as easy as you'd think, the F/A-18C's radar actually involves at least seven or eight keys when full functionality is bound onto the stick + I have a couple more things that I have to switch up on the MFD, such as scan range, scan width and height, etc.)
Also, just like the real F/A-18C stick, I bound my A/A mode weapons selection to a hat, so right now, right for guns, up for AMRAAM, left for Sidewinder.
There is just SO MUCH functionality in that one single bird. Dumb bombs (Mk80 series), dumb submunition bombs (so far I trained with the Mk20 Rockeye), ATGMs (for now, AGM-65D, E and G are simulated), unguided rockets (both standart Hydra 70, with the M151 10-pounder warhead and the 5-inch Zuni which is my go-to unguided rocket)... Obviously I have the gun (useable for both A/A and A/G modes with dedicated aiming options - A/A can use either the gun funnel, or lock on to gain a full reticle, while the A/G mode utilizes either the CCIP mode or a manual WWII style fixed sight), IR-guided A2A missiles (four versions of AIM-9 Sidewinder), radar guided missiles (Active and Semi-Active, two AMRAAMs and some four Sparrows). Each weapon fully simulated. Love it. Then there's the systems with two different (TACAN and AMS) nav aids available, each button in the cockpit clickable (start-up involves you turning on the battery, APU, cranking the engines one my one and then moving the throttles from OFF to IDLE)... And we'll be getting the AGM-88 HARM, the AGM-84 Harpoon (several versions!), the AGM-45 Shrike, air dropped mines, laser-guided bombs (I think the GBU-12 Paveway II may be implemented to some extent, but there are more variants coming) and TALD decoys (used in tandem with HARM missiles during the Gulf War).

Fallout 4. Finally built the transporter and got into the Institute. Level 85 and that shows you how much the main quest means to me. Jen met her "son" and is in denial over Father being her son. But she played along as best as she could. Got some info for Sturgis and got the serum for Virgil. Also finished the Cabot House quests. You're not my son. Can't be. Impossible! Give me the real Shaun! Yeah fake gorillas! Ha! ha! Abominations! I don't know how much more I can take! Nothing like watching raiders get ripped apart by deathclaws. Just poke your head out a little, I'm that damn good.

Gah! Never trust a religious nutter!
After getting turned around 6 ways to Sunday in a stair maze, the guy I was supposed to be helping turned on me and now wants to destroy his people and start over. No, dumbass, that is not why your statue god sweet-talked me into coming to help you.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Played some more AC-Odyssey and had a lot of fun i also have some observations that i like to share with you guys. 1. It's not so bad to be a pig in this game at least for quite a few that i saw they wander freely across the street doing some grocery shopping haha. ( joke of course ) It's to bad that it's not raining every day because then life would be perfect for the pigs because i know that they love their mud baths. 2. Thunder and lightning storms are absolutely amazing in this game it's to bad that those storms are way to short ... but nevertheless wooow. 3. There are some really hilarious moments in this game as well like a few posts back with that little oversexed old woman right dazk and vonuber haha. and this was also one hilarious moment i uh .. can actually confirm this uh ... see for yourself. 4. Another amazing thing in this game is that you can climb ^ almost everything in this game i think at least 95% give or take so no white ledges like in TR or GoW and there are more games out there with restricted ledges that you can climb ... in this game it's just jump up and grab ^ anything haha.
