AnDromedary Duuuude, I JUST bought NMS on sale last night!!! Then I come here and see you've posted about it. So, Subnautica is still better? Hmmmm. I got NMS basically for the base building, hehehe. Well, and co-op. Did you try co-op?
Do you happen to know if other players can still fuck up your base? Delete stuff and terraform grief it? I didn't see any patch notes for making planets and bases protected. But in the settings there's something about restricting editing to friends. So did they fix it after all? I'm confused.
I don't know if I want to upload bases when anybody can just destroy them. So I thought I'll just do MP exploration in co-op and build in Creative Mode on a new savefile... it would be a pity though since I very much would love to let others visit my bases. It's the thing I wish FO76 let you do but your camp is not persistent there so I have zero interest in that game right now until they give us private servers.
So, I haven't really done MP (as I don't have friends ) but in the galaxy map, you can see where other people's bases are with a little "contact" label. When you first set up a base, you set up a base computer and claim territory. When you then come back to your base, the base computer will display a message that goes something like "ownership confirmed, editing possible", so I guess only you (and maybe people you giver permission?) can edit your base. But that's just deduction on my part, haven't tested it for real.
As for building itself, so far, I have mainly built very utilitarian bases, not much deco and such. There seems to be heaps of stuff there (can't tell you how much yet since it unlocks gradually). There definitely are more option than in Subnautica (more room shapes, deco objects and you can even build usable race tracks, as far as I have seen). In order to unlock stuff, you need to do quests or find salvage that is distributed on the planets. This will take time, so do expect to do a lot of walking around in order to get all the blueprints. Also, mining can be quite tedious, when you try to build larger structures (for which you'll need a lot more resources. In fact, I just set up a little secondary base on an iron rich planet, just for resource gathering purposes.
But keep in mind, I am not your usual builder, I like the exploration and story aspects in a game much more usually. That's why I personally would rate Subnautica higher because it is a bit of a tighter gameplay experience when it comes to exploring (since it's a completely hand built world), story presentation is better there and mining in Subnautica is more about picking stuff up, not hit large resource deposits with a mining laser for a minute, just to get a few minerals. In terms of building however, NMS after the patches probably has more variety and the fact that you can share you creations is a plus of course.
By the way, the new Epic Games Store, that just opened is apparently giving away Subnautica for free (which IMO is a huge deal, it really is a fantastic game). So you can just pick it up and compare with no extra cost. Hope that helped. Have fun!

So... I finally bought Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. I'm not a fan of Telltale's game formula, but it's GotG, I had to get it one day. I have two other games of theirs: Borderlands, which I loved because it was Borderlands, and The Walking Dead Season 1... which I doubt I'll ever finish, since the only thing that gets me thru TT's games are stories in universes I love, and TWD is not one of them. Anyway, I finished episode 1 with all popular choices. I'm so predictable Allods. I realised that I timer on boutique item I got while leveling is running out, and since I really wanted to use it, I pushed myself to finish Reincarnation-related quests. In short, they allow you to create Incarnation of your Progenitor (main character). There are some benefits from being Incarnation, but also some handicaps. And you can swap between Incarnations/Progenitor really easily. Pretty neat system. The item I mentioned allows me to create additional incarnation, so I really didn't want to waste it. Got myself Aoidos Scout as first incarnation, straight to lvl70. Even though it's one-time thing... Nice

Last night Kassandra went to a Symposium, which was a hoot.
She told people she actually had a name: Had no-idea what someone was on about: Had an encounter with a goat: And finally she summed things up very well:

I just started playing my very first Assassins Creed game, Syndicate. Love Victorian London so I thought it's a good start, since the other alternative (Florence of teh Medici, don't know, how that AC game is called) wasn't available at the shop, I was in. It's quite a challenge, when you normally play rpgs or adventures. The roof hopping makes me a bit sick sometimes. In which point of the game can you decide if you want to play as Evie or Jacob? Because so far in the scenes with both, I can only play Jacob and I want to play Evie.I arrived at the shop of that Green guy. And yeah, carriage riding is worse than the Mako I think you have to ask dazk he is our AC expert i think i've not played Syndicate yet. @patricia you are too kind, I'll give the AC honours to Obsidian Gryphon and saandrig and Element Zero TBH they are far more proficient and have greater knowledge of the games than I do but thank you for your kind words. fylimar Victorian London is done really well and some of the historical characters and story related stuff is really good but being brutally honest Syndicate is my least favourite AC game. The combat oh man the combat is so not Assassins Creed in my opinion and the introduction of the rope launcher thing ruined the whole joy of climbing that preceded it in the earlier games. Evie is great Jacob is ho hum again my opinion lots loved him. The train was fun at first not so over time. Story is OK but certainly not the best AC story. I would have recommended you started with AC Odyssey as it is now in terms of history the earliest game (I think) or AC Origins. Both are well developed games and Odyssey is probably tied first with Black Flag in terms of my favourite AC games and favourite protagonist (Kassandra). I am guessing but I think you'd prefer Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations better than Syndicate for the lore, the story and the lead character and Unity (set in Paris) is probably the best game in terms of historical setting and look except for Odyssey, again all just my opinion. I only played Syndicate once and my memory of the game is not that great but if you need help any of the fine people above I am sure will be able to help you out. Last words, the carriage stuff is terrible. Enjoy Victorian London!!!!!!

Mostly been poking at Heroes of Dragon Age today, but also managed to squeeze in a little bit of Assassin's Creed 2. Wrapped up all the little side missions in swamp town and then Ezio made his way to Venice. Got a little Desmond treat as well. Mostly talking to Sean, since Sean is the best. (So far. But seriously, is Ezio going to be the first Vegetarian assassin? Curious minds must know!) Missed the chance to give Leonardo some snuggles, since I keep forgetting what sign means what button. Luckily he was just a wee bit sad. Was very amused to find a comfort thread with people feeling as bad about it as I did. Ended up checking out the first viewpoint in Venice and chucking an Archer of the roof while trying to reach the second one, only to realize I need to do a hideout thingie to climb there and I really should have gone to bed an hour ago...So tomorrow, Ezio will take in the view of Venice. Tonight we will probably just dream of those weird horses.

Apparently the character in Deus Ex has a mind of his own.
I finished my latest mission and headed back to HQ, only to find out the rest of the mission was a major FU by my brother (I think he was set up but he was acting kind weird so maybe he did just mess up) but anyway....I go down to the quartermaster for resupply and the guy refuses to give me more ammo (which I don't really need anyway) because I was bragging about clearing out the place in the previous mission by basically shooting everyone. I didn't do that!! I don't know why everyone keeps saying I shot the place to hell when I didn't.
Ugh...now, this last mission I did kinda shoot to hell because I didn't have enough tranq darts to take out 400 bad guys and I'm not good at sneaking up on people so I can zap them. But I didn't on the one they are talking about! Grrr.....

Been playing the Stellaris: Megacorp DLC with a buddy the past few days. So far my race of turtle capitalists have broken ground in several promising areas of development.
• My home world is host to the seat of the galactic trade. Interstellar civilization, and the economy driving it, all must pass though my banks and transfer station, must be scrutinized by the most proficient of turtle mega brokers, and must pay me a fee in all trades being made.
• The discovery of a literal portal to hell on one of my colony worlds is merely grounds to generate more profit. So what if those that stare into the abyss for too long are driven mad? Money can be made off this somehow, and my trade collation will find a way.
• By consorting with a being that exists outside of time and space, my species has had their home star transformed into a black hole, and their worlds burned with nuclear fire. But even those minor setbacks will not stand in the way of progress; and meeting the next quarter's projected quotas. Call us horrible mutant, monsters if you must but no one in the galaxy can match our prices or our sheer determination to see that all our consumers needs are meet.
• My latest branch office has just opened on my ally's newest colony, and we are already beginning to turn a profit selling our patented products to the race of gorilla aliens living there. Plans are currently underway to open a mega chain of fast food restaurants on this new client world as well. Being an agri-planet it makes sense that my customers be able to make use of all the abundant food after all.

Fallout 4. Met some BoS people and helped them out with a ghoul problem. Followed their leader, Danse, to Arc Jet and get some transmitter. Explored the Cambridge area and visited Fraternal Post 115 to see some old history.
I'll probably approach this game with the more Lone Wanderer type mentality with the dog being my primary traveling buddy. I'll have the others but not as much, just long enough to unlock their maximum influence.
I'm an war veteran and probably seen more action than you have. Not my first rodeo. Neat. Blood mod makes things more bloody, especially head shots.

Aliens vs Predator recently became Backwards Compatible for the Xbone and I've been playing it. Used to have a physical copy for the 360 but lost it, I don't remember how. Back then I played the story constantly and loved every bit of it, so I figured the hell with it and bought it digitally.
I finished the Marine campaign on Hard the other night. It was significantly shorter than I remember... but it was surprisingly difficult at the beginning. I also started the Predator campaign and will do the Alien section once that's finished. Those two portions of the game are where the real gravy is. Only problem is I'm reminded of how badly I wanted a sequel. The ending sets it up nicely.

Leonardo, I'm a the biggest fool of them all. So yeah, moar Assassin's Creed 2. Learned that the side area I visited yesterday booted me out of the sewer and to climb the tower I'd need a plot related ability. So did the first plot line in Venice. And I do not believe I can fly and hope the game wont make me try to touch the sky again.
The assassination was surprisingly successful, seeing as some of the guards noticed me fairly quickly and were climbing the ledges to get me. Yet I managed to waddle to the two fellows and shank the one that needed it without him having a clue. Also kinda did it in front of the other fellow so it was a bit strange to go to the next cutscene and he had no idea his friend died. The one I stabbed in front of him. What even are you man?
Oh well. Got a great mileage out of the Doge title in Venice. He killed the Doge! How will we meme now? Silly, but it amused me enough.
Had a bit of a party and realized that Capture the Flag games drive me up the wall. Well granted most competitions do. Was seriously considering just shanking the opposition. Granted it would probably have meant game over, but we can't all be good sports. But the fireworks were real nice, so it was a good night out.
Still have stuff to do in Venice, but suspect I'll be leaving it soon. So tomorrow is some sight seeing, maybe a bit of assassination and continuously lessening tolerance of the local archers.

So still playing AC Odyssey and am now 98% finished in terms of main story line but essentially all I need to do is fight the Minotaur and Medusa but still trying to work up the courage/patience for those two fights. Sitting on 181hrs, Level 66, 1,424km travelled and 7,652 kills and am currently scouring the map for question marks I haven't revealed which have mostly been forts or other occupied structures that need clearing. I am basically clearing them if I feel like it otherwise the actual clearing will happen later if I can be bothered. Still have some black and gold quests I need to complete and I also have at least two mid-size islands I have not even visited. Some pic's Finally my reflexes were fast enough to get a screenshot of a whale breaching near the ship: Had fun on a huge zipline: Got the whole family into the maritime business now:

Ah yes, I remember that giant zipline. For some reason, I had to come back to this waypoint like 3 or 4 times in a row and everytime I would zipline half way to that coastal village.
Also, those picks of the Adrestia remind me that I never posted my favorite self made photo from AC: OD, sailing the storm:

DAI is on it's limit on my computer so I fear, that a newer game with that much emphasis on graphics would not really run well, if at all.

Telltale's GotG. Finished episode 2 and 3. Only one unpopular choice, in episode 2. Whelp, I'm still predictable Allods. Leveled my Aoidos hunter to max level and - after finishing a few max level stuff - I created another incarnation. Priden bard, this time starting at lvl1. Good thing leveling is quite pleasant. Also watching Darksiders 3. Love Lust's design, not something you typically see.

Surprisingly Odyssey runs pretty efficiently for a new game, it certainly doesn't push my PC as hard as DAI does and here are the spec's if you haven't already looked at them.

Now that song is going to be singing in my head for the rest of the evening. But it's a nice song, so it's fine. ---- Not sure I did handle the truth. So wrapped up Assassin's Creed 2. Still got a few secondary missions left, somewhere, and not sure if I can be bothered to find them. Not that I didn't enjoy the game, but they just sound like busy work. It's a courier mission, a beat-em-up and maybe one more? Not sure. Also the feathers, but I've been spoiled on the results and I'm quite good thank you.
Final session ponderings. I hated the Shipyard templar lair. Would have torched it if I could. And it was extra annoying since I kept missing some jumps and had to go all the way back, with that stupid templar panicking in the background. You damn moron, I've been stuck for twenty minutes. Just get the hell away from me and let me suffer in peace >:C
Fell in love with Bartholomew. Kiss me please, then slap me just to be sure . A small side mission in Swamp Town and a extra glider mission there, but not sure what the point of it was? Just to enjoy flying or?
Either way, back to lovely Florence and oof that was quite something. May or may not have cursed up a storm during some of the missions.
Then to the end game and what the heck did I just watch? Oh well, it did include my dream boss fight for real life so...Well not really, but the idea is novel. Was going to go to the bathroom during the credits but was glad I didn't. Even if Uplay refuses to acknowledge my participation...But it was a fun scene.
So all in all, quite enjoyed this one. It was a lot more variable than the first one, Ezio was charming as heck and 99% of the time he was very well behaved during climbing. Not like certain fellows who refused to go around corners... Only thing I would say was lesser were the personal moments with your targets, since I enjoyed the long chats. But on the other hand, better interactions while they were still breathing so...Also kind of missed the little real world segments. But the ones I got were still pretty nice. But I did enjoy it enough to invest in the next two games in the series. So started up Brotherhood today. So far so nice. Game seems to have read my post before I posted since the real life scenes have been quite fun. Animus scenes have also been okay. Kinda worried about the whole investment deal and the 100% synchronization is starting to turn into a pain, so kind of hoping that they do away with it in the next game. I do like the crispness of the faces in this game. The second game had such soft faces so they looked a bit off inside the crisp environment. But now everything is nice and crispy. So all in all had a bunch of fun and ended up being fairly merciful to most of the archers. Except some because they were jerks and deserved to be tossed off the buildings...

Watching Rising Storm 2 Vietnam. There's a recent update in which all players are now little toy soldiers battling it out in a huge room filled with Christmas decorations and toys. This is definitely a great change up.

Been replaying "Tyranny." I am currently at the Disfavored Camp. Just finished talking to Graven Ashe and The Voices of Nerat. I also finished talking to one of Graven Ashe' top lieutenants. Then spoke to my newest companion Barik. Am about to leave the camp and go to the Chorus camp.

I finished the route A of Nier Automata. Such a charm game with memorable characters and great songs. At first I was a bit annoyed with how many damn steps each side quest has, but it really helped to show the world. And the combat is fantastic.
I don’t play video games for a long time. I had a super-nintendo as a child, then played some mmorpgs, and just get to play for real 3 years ago, but this is serious a contender for my favorite game.
