Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy. Finished episode 4 and 5. I remain predictable to the very end. Only one less popular choice in episode 4 and one in episode 5. I have to admit, they really chose great songs for this game. I'll have them stuck in my head for another week Aside from that, still playing Allods, watching Darksiders 3 and playing the shit out of mobile games... mostly while watching random stuff on YouTube. And if anyone's interested in LEGO games, The Hobbit is for free on Humble Bundle

So reached L68 in AC Odyssey yesterday, on 8,108 kills, and 99% completion and have travelled 1,500+km's. Still roaming the Greek world clearing Orichalcum sites and question marks I haven't revealed plus doing some story missions I missed. I found Myrinne ages ago but found two quests (black & gold markers) in Argolis relating to finding her. These are obviously not necessary as otherwise I would have not found her. Anyway impatiently finished these redundant quests only for one of them to be a trick by some guy to get me to clear his bathhouse of snakes. Tried to rage kill him afterwards but he had plot armour. I have only deliberately rage killed one other NPC in the game and that was cause she dissed my mum. Discovered that I also haven't finished Xenia's pirate missions but don't have any quests for her and don't remember seeing any quest markers for her so back to Keos (?) today. Also accidentally stumbled across Markos in jail in a fort on Kos which I had not ventured to before, those missions strained my patience a bit. Found an Orichalcum site that you cannot loot at Fort Arkys, its under water but the water isn't deep enough to be able to dive to loot it. saandrig I tried the exploding arrow trick on the signal fire yesterday and it sort of worked but didn't. Did you trap it first cause I didn't, the signal fire lit and all the guards became alert but that's all that happened. It was like the game didn't know what to do. Found the best "Alpha Animal" site yesterday as well, don't mess with the Alpha Rooster. All hail the Taurus's of the world: Game continues to impress me visually and not rushing so much at them moment lets me enjoy the scenery a whole lot more:

Started a new Wticher 3 while waiting..patiently for DA4. Geralt's in Novagrad to see Tamara and will go to the bog to see her mother next. He's seen a lot of combat, and helped a number of people, many with sad stories. Sometimes Geralt needs a bit of sunshine and when he sees cats he always walks over to them only to have them hiss and run from him. Except Nibbles. After the Barons quest it's a light fun scene with lots of humor.I think Nibbles like Geralt Nice kitty: Hmmm, good talking to you Nibbles: I really should play TW3 again but the size of the game daunts me so much as I just can't help but do everything. Wonder if I have my saves somewhere still?????? Odyssey reminds me a lot of TW3 in its scope, world size, multitude of quests and the shear beauty of it's environments. TW3 does a great job of contrast in terms of the monsters and the beauty though that sets it apart. Kassandra has a bit more enthusiasm and a far more positive attitude thn Geralt, but both have a wicked sense of humour however Kassandra wins in regards to passion and sense of justice though.

That was one of the things I put in my cart and then took out. So what did you get? I got, and am playing Tower of Time (It was only $9.90) I'm only level 4 so far and still only have the two starting companions, but I'm quite enjoying it. No voiced characters is a bit jarring though, and you don't play as the hero, you just control your companions, while you wait upstairs. I think it's one of those games that rewards saving before opening chests. So far I have found 2 bows, 6 crossbows, and only 1 sword. I've also found 3 pairs of pants and still no chest armor. i.imgur.com/CiXZVPV.jpg

I really should play TW3 again but the size of the game daunts me so much as I just can't help but do everything. It is a big game. I do the same and have to complete every quest, pick every plant. I love the combat music and wish they didn't change it to start later in the battles. Odyssey looks beautiful and I like that you can play a female in this one. Is there much stealth or can I use the sword and bow. There's a strong element of stealth but the game gives you lots of opportunities to use your bow and the game almost encourages melee. Early on without using stealth to some extent though it can be challenging. There are some Abilities you can use that offset that though like Rush Assassination. You'll adapt very quickly. Yes you can play as a female, Kassandra is I think my favourite female protag of all the games I have played. Her VA is great although some people have taken a while (in game) to really feel the love. MarilynRobert may be able to give you better insight as a new player to AC games.

You know what I hate? When they don't have a key you can press to highlight things you can interact with. Somewhere on this map is one bloody enchantment scroll, just sitting there waiting to be picked up. i.imgur.com/u5sziXY.jpgI don't know if I can come back to this level once I go down, but I know it will grate on me if I don't find that scroll. Edit: You can relax everybody, I found it.

So this was actually a few days ago, but I finally learned how to use the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System to guide AIM-9X onto targets.
Thanks to the poor unwitting MiG-21bis who helped me learn that particular thing. Turns out if you uncage the sensors from boresight, they slave to the JHMCS.
I think I'll go ahead and learn some carrier ops next.
Hornet awaits!

I'm playing the Portal 2 Co-op for the first time, the only thing left for me to do in the franchise. It's fun to experience it now, and looking at all the puzzles from the perspective of two people and 4 portals gives it all a new take. And GLaDOS is, as always, savage.

Eventually I will have to get AC Odyssey, sure is pretty looking besides the characters. Fallout 4. Trying hard to get McCready's approval up. I'm thinking Jessica may romance him since I haven't done his yet. His approval isn't as easy as Piper's or Cait's. Pick a lock and the two girls approval. Now steal or pick a lock of an owned item, not so much. Went to Diamond City and picked a bunch of owned door locks to his satisfaction. Finally got my first flirt dialog option with him. Met up with this stuck up, arrogant Malcom Latimer. Had enough of his stupid mouth and Wellington's and shot them dead, turning Diamond City hostile. Had fun nuking the city and decided to reload the game. When you're done sweeping the deck go over there and clean that mess up I made. Oh, the likes of me belong down below. Filthy, lowly people like myself don't belong up here in your high castle, eh? Alright, sh!t for brains, that did it! Look at that, you bleed red just like the rest of us lowly scum. Burn them! Burn them all!

Nothing yet, since I took everything out. Now I've got stuff put back in, but I'm undecided on what all to get. I understand why GOG likes to do their sale before Steam, but I hate not being able to just pick the best price between them rather than having to decide whether to wait and see if Steam's sale price is better, or just get it now from GOG.

So this was an interesting thing. In this example here, I didn't hesitate a nano second in saving the child. I'm not sure if it is because i have kids now, or getting old, but it was almost instinctive. RAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! FEAR ME! or.. maybe not. Gotta love level disparity and doing quests out of sequence. The WWF style intros are amusing too. I've focussed Kassandra on basically maximising dagger and fire damage - she can deal some serious damage in a short amount of time.
This quest sequence was also amusingly well written. It's basically a fetch quest but the dressing makes it fun.

In "Tyranny." Went to the "Bastard City" home to the court of Tunon the Adjudicator, Archon of Justice. Upon arriving he was in the middle of questioning three Disfavored soldiers and three Scarlet Chorus. Unhappy with their answers he turned to the Fatebinder (Player). He asked the Fatebinder what happened the day before at the siege of Vendrien's Well. The Fatebinder told him that he along with the Disfavored had taken the Citadel. Satisfied with his answer Tunon dismissed the Disfavored soldiers and Scarlet Chorus and asked the FB to join him at his throne. There he ordered the FB to investigate the Archons Graven Ashe and The Voices of Nerat and find out what led to their civil war. Tunon dismissed the FB but not before the FB asked him a few questions. Afterwards the FB proceeded to talk to the various people in the court.
I forgot what else happened since this was last night. Also I finally found out what gender the Overlord Kyros was. I had always suspected they were female since females in this world hold high positions, and I was right. No matter now I wonder will we ever see her. Cause the only characters who've seen her are Tunon the Adjudicator and Bleden Mark, Archon of Shadow. So tonight I will play some more. I did play this game back when it was released but for reasons I now don't remember stopped playing. So somethings I had forgotten.

Bought Hellblade through GOG, also BG2 EE, and a few other things, more than enough to qualify for free Everspace. Also claimed the free copy of Subnautica through the Epic Games client. Note for others: Captchas didn't work for me in the GOG Galaxy client - it just kept creating new ones. I had to go to the web site to redeem my freebie codes; they worked there the first time.
Now I'll wait to see what Steam will have on sale in a week or so. I'm hoping for crazy discounts on some of the newer games I've been putting of buying.
Guess I better go play something now, instead of just buy more stuff.

To continue my recent habit of playing old Xbox 360 titles, I snatched up the Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
I loved the series, at least the first three games (the original trilogy) and played them quite a bit before getting a case of burnout and setting the games down. Its been a long while, and I took the opportunity to have another old game added to the permanent residents of my limited hard drive space.
To start out I just put it on Hardcore difficulty. It didn't take long to work out the kinks (just like Marcus says in the tutorial, hehe) and got back into the swing of it. Only thing is its much less forgiving than the regular/normal difficulty. If you stay out of cover for too long or let an enemy get a beat on you, you're dead. And enemies themselves are pretty tough as well, but I've managed to get a good rhythm going and have cut down the amount of ammunition I use to down a single grub.
The first Gears of War is good fun. I've almost forgotten how enjoyable these games were and how much I loved them. While the gameplay gets more than repetitive, especially if you play a lot/play the games in a bit of a marathon, there's fun to be had. Now I'd just like to see Gears of War 2 get the same treatment.

It has a good story as well, some of the side quests and main plot related quests are hysterical and some of them certainly lead you down the "You really need to die" path or alternately tug at the heart strings.

Who leaves a baby to burn to death???? The arena I was a bit stressed about doing but it was actually pretty easy, haven't done the second round of fighters though. That quest with Morys was pretty funny. What I like about the writing and the VA's work with Kassandra is that you can completely be being nice with someone who then deserves an angy respons e and the writers provide it and Kass's VA dlivers it really well and its believable.
