Have you encountered the chryssalids btw? AKA "Zombie apocalypse heralds". You never know how much trouble they are until you let them some free space. In the vanilla "XCOM Enemy Unknown" that abandoned shipyard mission was a regular "Aliens" siege scene with the respawning chryssalids hordes. In XCOM 2 they are a bit less dangerous than EU and EW, but can completely surprise you still if you get careless. True. I had the when watching Cohh dismissed them lightly in his first encounter. He raged and then condemned the mission as ridiculous and unfair when he lost one of his best soldiers, another badly wounded and then lost all the civilians he was supposed to save. Never so hard. He deserved it as he was getting cocky. Further down the line, he tried to have a Ranger melee a Muton at full health and lost more soldiers. He got madder, dumped the PT and restarted.

You didn't take Brassida's advice? That's a shame, he's right in all his suggestions in terms of getting better outcomes. Oh I saved the family and all; I'm role playing a Kassandra who will do anything to save kids and women in trouble, gives short shrift to anyone who annoys or insults her and has a tendency to fly off the handle at short notice, letting her passions take control rather than a cooler head.
However, she is utterly devoted to her friends and will do everything for them.
I did think about the decision though: I make that a good 9s.
Defending her friends: Taking no shit from anyone: No women, no kids*:
*not true, but I love that line:
This game is genuinely very good, I really like it. I find her character more appealing than Shep in a way, it's much more rounded and has a lot more depth and range of expression and feeling. And speaking of Shep, doing this post has prevented me from updating my latest playthrough:

Back in Novigrad. Sigh. Finally got Hattori set up to craft weapons and he upgraded my Griffin swords to superior. Still need the armorer in Crow's Perch but I'll do that when I head there to get Uma.
Started the gwent tournament quest, then realized it was probably going to be a long time in one place, so reloaded to do it later. (Am I supposed to know who Sasha is at this point?) Also want to get the cards from the masquerade ball first, even though my deck passed muster.
Currently working on "Cabaret" for Dandelion. Did the first part with the "Crimson Avenger" (groan) and next is helping out with Polly the choreographer.
Anyone know where I can find a herd of cows to moo-rder?

I've been playing Hitman 2, slowly but surely doing the Classics challenges on Master Difficulty for the Story levels (Just need Hokkaido for the Classics 1, then I can work on the Classics 2). Also been playing Blood Money, beat Rookie difficulty and made it to A Dance with the Devil on Normal.
About a week ago I finished Outer Worlds, and really enjoyed it! Started up 2 more playthroughs. 1 to go through on Hard, and another for funsies.
On and off with For Honor (New Hero came out recently) and Mortal Kombat 11 (Sindel is out next week, and I'm slogging through Kombat League since I want the Quan Chi skins for Kano and Baraka) as my 2 online games.

Did more of ACOD Atlantis. Doing a bit now and then. At the rate I'm going, I'll probably finish the DLC by next year. I'm in the Hekate zone, clearing everything before talking to her. Any hoo, I thought; well, in Rome do as Romans do. In this case, I decided to just candy some ordinary Isu armour.

I played more Stardew Valley. Surprised? I'm not, it's super addictive.
Half-way through my first Summer. I added 2 chickens (Muno and Nino) and 2 cows (Zoe and Julia) to my little farm and they are adorable. I'm now saving money and wood to purchase the first house upgrade. I want a kitchen. Why doesn't normal house come with a kitchen and a bath in this game?
I also made more friends in town. Clint even send me an iron bar. Shiny! Haley is starting to act weird, blushing when I'm around and getting interested in farming and less in magazine and fashion. Demetrius is looking at me funny and always hinting that he doesn't want me to be friend with his daughters because I'm not "good enough" for her scientific genius. Lewis lost his shorts and asked me to find them...he told me to not tell anyone where they were. I wish I could gossip with the villagers now. I also tried to play a video game with Abigail and failed miserably.

azarhal Now that you mention it, I don't think any of the house upgrades come with a bathroom. In fact the only toilet area I can remember is the spa that opens up in the summer...huh. Must have gotten good at holding it in or the town suddenly smelled a lot better. Hehe. Do agree with the kitchen though. At least having the option to buy a little kitchen station without increasing the house size, for the farmers who like it small and cozy. You did mention mods though, and they offer it all it seems. And thanks for the heads up on the update

What did I do today in the game I'm playing?
I delivered some packages like a boss. On my way to deliver them I came across a deep ravine with a river running through at the bottom. I couldn't see anywhere to cross safely in either direction, but luckily I was carrying plenty of materials at the time, so I just built a bridge. I set the bridge to play nice music for anyone else who comes across it later.
Then it started to rain, which is dangerous because the rain rapidly ages anything that it touches. I looked around, but there was no shelter anywhere, so I put my hood up and pushed on, hoping that my cargo would not suffer too much. But then my baby warned me that some ghosts were nearby, so I began carefully sneaking. I had to stop and hold my breath a couple of times, and even had to throw some blood grenades to scare off a couple of the ghosts, but it wasn't long before I got past them to safety again. I took a minute to soothe my baby because it was upset.
After reaching my destination and delivering my packages, I decided to save time on the journey back. So I used a 3D printer to make an electric motor tricycle and rode it back to my home base. Then I went for a shower and made some new grenades using the shower water.
I've got more deliveries to make, so I think I'll need to build a highway in this area of the map. I think that would help. Yeah, I'll get on that in my next play session.
God I love Death Stranding.

@curious Crow I looked at mods that add a bathroom to the Farmer's house. Unfortunately, ou either have a buggy mod that is out of date or something that remove game features (usually the spouse's room) to place the new bathroom or they do too much (turns the house into a mega-mansion). Also, next week update is probably going to wreck havoc on mods until they get updated, so I avoided the big mods.
Maybe I should try to make my own farmer's house mod, lol.

Fallout 4 Went to HalluciGen and put the Gunner scum infesting that place out of their misery. Gab watched some of them beat each other senseless before killing the winner. Why do the dirty work when someone can do it for you? Traveled around the Jamaica Plain area and found some submerged power armor near a military convoy by Neponset Park. First time that I found that PA. I still find stuff that I've missed in the many times that I've played this game. The PA was the X01 variety, missing the RH arm and leg. Put it on and traveled to the overpass that was near by and killed some named dogs. Whipped out the mini gun and blasted away at the ghoul raiders in Quincy quarry. Now that Gab has acquired another PA for the collection, it was time to expand the storage shed once again. Which leads to... Part 3, hopefully the last, of personal settlement upgrade. I've spent most of my gaming time today on this. Expanded the storage shed to 3.25 stories. Can't really call it a shed now, its a full sized warehouse. Gabrielle fixed up a tank and some personnel carriers and drove them back for her vehicle collection. Some character background. She's a tomboy with mechanical and hunting expertise. She was in the army as a vehicle and power armor mechanic, which is where she met her husband. Which explains my character's obsession with collecting power armor, cars, and military items. On top of the storage warehouse looking at downtown Cambridge. Pimping images of my settlement's exterior.

Dabbling half here and there between games. I started Ken Follette's Pillars of the Earth a few days ago. I didn't get some stuff right in the first PT so some events ended badly so this time I made sure to correct them in this PT. Presently in the third and final book so I'll be finishing this soon. I like the intro to this game. It took me completely by surprise when I played it last year.

Have been nursing a slow, sporadic playthrough of Red Dead Redemption over the last few months. Finished the Mexico portion of the game today. I'd forgotten how much fun it is. De Santa, Ricketts, Louisa and Reyes are all great characters with brilliant dialogue and chemistry with John. Especially Reyes. He's a narcissistic scumbag, but his energy and charisma and honest-to-god courage are undeniable. It's easy to imagine why the Mexican populace are enamored with him. And he actually does right by John. I decided to forego the boring old duster this playthrough and spend the bulk of the game in an elegant suit instead. Men knew how to dress back then, and having played RDR2, I figure there's no way Dutch raised either of his boys without teaching them a thing or two about putting together a snappy outfit. Rejecting civilization isn't the same as being animals, after all. And maybe Ross and co. found it amusing to make following the Pinkerton dress code one of the conditions of Marston's quest. Figure I'll change into the Legend of the West outfit for the rest of the game once I've done a bit of hunting and shooting to get it in Tall Trees.

Been binge playing Yakuza 0 for the last three days. And it's been loads of fun. Session in spoilers because of spoilers, mostly for chapter 5-8 and a bunch of side quests. But am a bit vague on the main story stuff. But it's mostly in spoilers because it's super long and rambly, so heads up for that. But tl:dr the game is super fun and I'm liking it a lot. Chapter 4 ended on a cliffhanger while I was returned to Kiryu in chapter 5. Yay. And he got a snazzy new suit and a job in real estate. The chapter started with a business meeting which involved a bunch of etiquette and I answered....1 question right. Then we disagreed on the seating, since I wanted a seat with a view of the door to both see when the client got in and also to be alert if some hooligans came to shoot up the place. But no, he wanted Kiryu's back to the door, leaving him defenseless, then scolded him for wanting to order coffee while waiting for the client. But luckily that was just for this mission, then back to the golden rule of violence solving everything. Either way, client opened up a new business opportunity, with him and Kiryu joining forces and buying back the city from the "evil" real estate men. AKA I can buy EVERYTHING. YES. IT WILL ALL BE MINE. MUHAHAHAHAHA. Erm. Yes. Then plot moved on and got to the point where the game told me to wait on a word from an ally, but also I should check on a get rich scheme in the theater business. Scheme was a cat club with scantily clad ladies and evil, evil rock paper scissors game. Which is rigged I tell you! Rigged! So decided I should probably get rich. So lemme just conquer the city while I wait for a word. Hehe. Which is basically what most of my play time went into. Buying buildings, getting payouts, rinse and repeat. So the buildings were separated into 5 districts, each controlled by a king: Leisure King, Electronic King, Pleasure King, Gambling King and Media King. Which is incidentally the order I took them out in. Each king had an opening cutscene, a mini game and then a big brawl. So it was a nice chunk of cutscenes for each of them. NICE. Leisure King had karaoke which I won spectacularly. Electronic King had a racing game which I lost spectacularly, Pleasure King had a telephone game which I lost but still won the price of meeting the caller , Gambling King had a rigged, rigged catfight and Media King had a disco and hahahahahaha I lost. Still, loads of fun watching them prance around. Since my money came from payouts I had to find some way to spend the time while they were collected. So finished some side quests. Found a pocket car arena and became the champion, then got roped into a romance sit com with five year olds, except I can't win that race currently so that is on hold. Actually got a bit good at the other racing game, or well good enough to finish the side quest connected to it. Which is as good as I care to get. Got really into bowling (but alas, had no cousin to join me ) and got the coolest manager possible. It's the chicken The quest was to score a turkey in bowling (3 strikes in a row) to get a turkey. Except the turkey turned out to be a living chicken. And Kiryu could not kill such a cutie. So he hired him instead. His name is Nugget. Also got a security person whose scene ended with him defending a dog with his life (or well, body, he was still breathing in the end) so tried to pair them together as often as possible, Nugget the financial manager and his brave bodyguard Koshimizu-kun! Also got way to good at the telephone game. Which is funny since I loathed the idea of them in the beginning. The during the Pleasure King mini game I got really into it. Liked the "bad dates" but the regular dates were pretty decent too. Also I now have buddies to go bowling and sing karaoke with. They also have unique cutscenes for those so double nice. Also did all the training missions for Bacchus and Miss Tatsu, but kinda stuck on the Rush style training. Any ways. Boss fights went really well. Mostly because they were idiots and faced me in area's with bicycles. And it's all fun and games until Kiryu gets his mitts on a bicycle and starts beating the bejeezus out of people with it. Media King was the only one smart enough to pick a fight in a bike less area, so he aaaaalmost won. But not quite. But the extras who came after did. Or well, they would have if I hadn't had a stone which gave me one revive. So well, suck to be them. Then one bonus king, because of course. But he picked a fight in a room with a marble table. Or well he started with two goons, and while fighting them the table got smashed. Then he picked a fight. With many many slabs of table. I had so much fun. But then it was time to move on with the main story. Which I was way overpowered for so the whole thing was a blast. Basically had to sneak my way through the city since oodles and doodles of Yakuza were trying to kill me. Except I had no troubles beating them when they found me, so it was more them praying it would be over quick! Heh. Then the chapter ended with an emotional cutscene. Which was genuinely sad and I love love love how the game can bounce between fun wacky times and then start slicing onions like crazy. Oof. Also was expecting a betrayal at that point, but the reasoning was just really good. Really misguided in it's way but, it's not like he knows I have save and reload. Then went back to Majima. Who was way less overpowered so fights started being a challenge again. Ended up getting super engrossed in his plot, so didn't spend time on the new cash grind he got, nor at buffing up his skills, so kinda worried when I get back to him. Don't really want to get into the plot, but will say that I met this guy. And I love him One of his fight techniques was to drop on his back to try and lure you in for easy hits, then the bastard would start crawling on his back and stabbing you in the legs! Hilarious. Also liked the other cast in this chapter. Except I'm pretty sure one my allies is dead. He did survive getting a couple of gunshots, which I was pretty sure killed him, but I don't think his big buff body will get him out of being blown up. But then again, people are still walking around all fine and dainty after Majima literally snaps their necks and pours boiling hot water on their face, so....there is a possibility. It's slim. But it's there. Either way, his story bit ended on a cliffhanger, so will be back with Kiryu in the next session. But stopped there because this game has the spooky ability to turn the clock from 10pm to 2 am. But having a grand time with the game so far.

No time for playing yesterday but day before I finally made it to the ball with Triss. Played and won 3 rounds of gwent for 3 more cards found in Velen (Milva, Bruxa, Dandelion) but now there's 2 left to get and I've no idea where they might come from since I already have all the random ones. There must be another quest somewhere with a match involved, maybe?
Next step is to identify and plan the escape of the none-too-bright son of Lady Vegelbud.
So far ran into Gen. Voorhis and Djikstra. I love how much Geralt annoys Sigi just by existing.

Fired an old game. Going to bounce between this and ACOD. First off though I downloaded an unofficial patch for the game to have widescreen resolution and a mod that fixed all the bugs and threw in new stuff that had appeared in the XB version. It's in FP view. Combat is pretty simplistic, just bounce the disc and let it ricochet to get enemies round the corner. Not very far in yet so so far I've only encountered the corrupted programs and security programs. I got a kind of gun but I'm not fond of it.

I always found TRON 2.0 an awesome game. It's probably a work related thing though. I'm a software programmer, if fixing bugs and glitches was just throwing a disk at it, work would be so much fun. ---- Lets go back to my dream job: no pressure idyllic farming. If farming/brewing/etc was as stress free and relaxing as in Stardew Valley, I would be changing job on an heartbeat (my dad was raised on a farm and my brother's in-laws are all farmers...real life isn't quite like Stardew Valley). I made it to Fall 1st. Goodbye Summer. I got a larger house just a few days before the season change. I can now make actual food instead of surviving off berries, raw fishes, uncooked algae, acorns and stuff I find in trash cans! I also ended the season with enough money to buy lots of pumpkins, cranberries and a few other seeds and my pets farm animals seems to be having a great time. I also built a beehive for making sweet honey and I want a mill eventually. Townspeople started to send me recipes too, I guess they learned I got a kitchen...that town is full of snoops.

Finished up my Imperium co-op campaign in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 last night. Fought Abbadon the Despoiler and blew up his flagship thereby securing the Gothic sector of space from his ravaging hordes.
It felt nice to actually finish a play through entirely in co-op, it certainly took a lot of stress of the bigger fleet engagements knowing that I wouldn't have to manage all those individual ships by myself.
Now we're turning back the clock and planning to conquer the sector as the implacable Necrons of the Nephru dynasty. Immortal Zombie Robots are here to kick names and take ass.

Fallout 4. Tracked down the second brainbot that Ada wanted me to find. Unfortunately it was functioning, as a head only, and had to stay functioning if we were to get the necessary info from it. But that is far as we got on that. Word reached Gab about a raider with some fancy power armor in Nuka World. Usually she doesn't pay any mind to that inferior cobbled together garbage, but word is it was invincible. She had to see that for herself. Plus she remembered that the Nuka Cola company had some promotion with the US government, using a set or two of power armor with Nuka Cola painted on them. Joygasm! Nuka World here we come! Gabrielle taking a break from all her worries. A two in one kill at Poseidon Power Company. Since I use explosive rounds in most of my guns, these two raiders were close together that one shot killed both. Here, hold this. Ah you're dead already. Just the action of throwing a grenade was enough to what, give you a heart attack and die? That's some fancy looking duds you got on there, son.

So did a bit more Kass, and came across something I thought was interesting.
Just a normal side quest, Barnabas nephew was a bit sick so I needed to find out what was wrong with him. In the course of various investigations (including a corrupt doctor) I came across this little girl: So being the Big Damn Heroine I am, we helped her out to find her brother who was training at the gymnasium. First some sass from Kassandra: Then taking him down a peg or two for info: And in the end we don't know where her brother has gone, and she runs off. That little bit ends, and I'm thinking - ok, this'll pick up again later in the chain, won't it. So off we go again, telling someone who is far too insistence to bugger off: Honestly, she is so well written and acted. Then we threatened a merchant who was drugging the athletes.. .. rescued (some) of them, and I'm thinking the brother will be there somewhere, but nope. So threatened the merchant again (not sure why I let him live): Ended up finishing things with the doctor, and I'm thinking, ok, where is the next bit ofthe girl's quest eh? We have the antidote, found the athletes.. Dealt with more cultists, and I'm thinking that this is a it odd, it just sort of ended cos we need to leave the island. So I'm just looting the corpses, as you do, when I notice a figure has appeared, so I run over. If you can't read the subtitles it says 'I found him, but I was too late. If only I had known h was at the quarry all this time'.
So yeah, I stood there for a good minute feeling utterly miserable, as (unless I missed something) I never had even a chance of helping her. And if I hadn't looked around I would never have seen her. You're not supposed to fail like this, you are the heroine. And you are certainly not meant to find out like this, as if their lives were so unimportant.
Sometimes it's good to have failure. I don't know how deliberate this was by Ubisoft, but for some reason it really got to me.
Anyway, Kass was so pissed she literally just kicked the front door in of the bad guys. No stealth or subtlety, just straight up murder mode. This bit at the end was a pleasant and welcome surprise though: And all that in a side quest; Bioware really need to up their game based on this.

but now there's 2 left to get and I've no idea where they might come from since I already have all the random ones. There must be another quest somewhere with a match involved, maybe? Have you got the Geralt & Triss cards ? Or Iorveth ?

No Geralt or Triss card yet. I do have Iorveth. Lambert has the Triss card, right? I haven't played him yet though I'm ready to meet up with him again after finding whoever I was supposed to find in Skellige. I know I can get one from Thaler (haven't met him yet since I just got to the part where Sigi asks for help killing Radovid) so he must cough up the Geralt card?
Then I have the one at the palace in Vizima, one at Kaer Morhen (from Visimir or Eskel?), and the 5 in Novigrad (which I'm assuming come from the tourney there).
**** After returning from the Vegelbud estate once again, Geralt headed to the Rosemary & Thyme, now called the Chameleon, to check in with Dandelion. The dude with the placards still hadn't shown up. Priscilla headed home to get ready for opening night dress rehearsal but never made it back because she was attacked by some maniac. That put Geralt on the hunt for what is turning out to be a serial killer of the religious fanatic sort. Oh yay.
While on his way back to the Vegelbud estate to warn the old lady matriarch the killer might be coming after her next, he got distracted by witch hunters planted outside Triss' house. After taking them out and glaring at Triss' landlords, they both got the hell out of there. Went to check on another couple of mages and found hunters there too. It was time for the great escape so Geralt and Triss cleared the way to the docks via the sewers so all the mages could get on a rickety boat bound for Kovir. Sigi also helped (he's such a softie ) and then got mad at Geralt for letting Triss sail away without asking her to stay. He apparently doesn't like Yen much. As a parting gift, he asked Geralt to help him kill Radovid, the mad little snot who is destroying all of his and old King Vizimir's hard work bit by bit. [Note: I plan to back Sigi later on but will first back Roche in order to get the Full Crew achievement. Once I have that, I'll reload to side with Sigi instead.]
So, having been detained for hours upon hours helping the mages get away, is it any wonder old Lady Vegelbud is already dead by the time Geralt arrives?

The Kaer Morhen card is the Triss card from Lambert. Although you can get it off him before that. The High Stakes Tourney only gives you 4 leader cards. The one at Vizima Palace is just a nobleman sitting on a bench in the courtyard. And Yes Thaler has the Geralt card.

Thaler has the Geralt card. Got it, and it was considered a Novigrad card. Still no idea what the other 2 Velen cards might be. I tried playing vs that noble first time I was there and gave up since he kept playing high value cards I had no hope of matching. Can't wait for a rematch.
