Stardew Valley update. Fall is advancing slowly, as I don't play it much anymore. Still make a plenty of money and spending most of my time trying to find a dinosaur egg and/or prismatic shard. Haley filled the adaption papers too, no idea when the baby is going to show up. One more season and a half to "finish" the game. I'm going to sleep a lot.

Yakuza 0. Got the ghost Koi so Majima and Kiryu can officially retire their fishing poles for now. Figures that Majima got bombarded on his own by top grade and special bait the moment he could snag them from the shared inventory, then caught the Koi at the second toss. So now there is a decent stock of fairly useless bait in the item box.
Otherwise just lot of managing the club. Got two out of five stars down. Was around 1000 points short of winning the third star today, but alas, I'll get him next time. Been also a bit more clever with the special training, as in finish the special training courses before even attempting to get another platinum girl. Makes it easier to remember what was talked about and I won't have as big of a backlog when the story line is over.
Actually kinda worried about the fights in this plot, since the second final boss has a blue health bar, which basically means I need to peel off 4 layers of health during the fight, except I had massive problems with the fellow who just had two layers of health. Ooof. And the blue one did give me trouble on normal, so double oof. But at least I'll be expecting him now, so that's something.
Game has also decided that it wants to crash now. Had two fairly close crashes now, while I had none (that I can remember) the first run. So that's disheartening. But luckily I'm pretty diligent at saving since I don't get check points on the current difficulty. But having fun none the less.

From which of the various games of the franchise are these pictures?
Guessing Shadow of The Tomb Raider, at least the last one since that's the one where she goes all crazy fire demon. And pretty sure the first two are as well, (they are the same just two a black and white filter on the first one), because of how her face looks. It's sort of flatter, more just skin stuff. The first one was a baby face and the second had that shiny stylized look. Yep it is as in Shadow one of the abilities you have is to cover yourself in mud to camoflage yourself to hide from the Trinity troops. I've played the main game though I've not had a chance to go back in fo rthe DLC's yet but I do inten dt oit's just a question of when wil I get round to it just like wit ha lot of things atm .I do have the DLC's as I bought the Croft Edition but it's just a case of getting around to playing them.

Back to Blood&Wine....
Was able to finish the "Extreme Cosplay" quest with a lot of cheese (and whine). And patience, which is hard to come by. I was able to take out one of the fire starters fairly quickly but the other one set up on the far side of the courtyard and every time I tried to get close to her the 4 warriors would close ranks to keep me from her. So, having the high ground I verrrrryyyy sloooowwllly whittled their health down with bombs and arrows, until only the second mage was left. Of course this strategy took me a few attempts because I would get in a hurry and end up dead.
Yet another reason statues are creepy. I blame Dr. Who and "Blink" for that.
Afterwards, I headed to some elven ruins to look for my Wolf Grandmaster diagrams. Now alls I need is 500 metric tons of enriched dimeritium and 100 infused slyzard hides. Give or take.
Next I encountered some bandits, then more bandits with a hostage, then one of the many wandering vintners looking to store product in out of the way caves.
In between all this I ran away from level 47 arachnomorphs and a garkain. I just turned 41 and did my first mutation. I think I might re-spec though so I have more points available for mutations since I'm sure they will be more useful than filler points in abilities I'm not actively using.

Finished another run of a VN, Queen at Arms and started an oldie. KOTOR! The graphics look so bready. I'm not entirely sure of installing the widescreen mod since I read of game crashes.

As I shouted in another post in midnight delirium. I found the galactic hub. I put up some industrial mineral extractors on a Class S gold deposit and class A magnetised ferrite deposit on an anomalous ossified world orbiting a blue star.
I didn't realize why magnetised ferrite deposits were such a big deal per the blogs and videos until I started refining and building metal structures for my bases.
I'm calling one of the bases on the Hub world "Dantius Towers of Illium."

I finished A Plague Tale: Innocence a few days ago - phew. It was an intense experience, the likes of which I don't often encounter (mostly due to the types of games I choose, I think, but you like what you like, right?)
The end sequence/battle could be considered a microcosm of the entire game (difficult and yet simple). No on screen hints of any kind, just the voice cues of your 5 year old Rat God little brother...
A pleasing conclusion, I thought, to a deeply cinematic experience. Gameplay was pretty simple throughout, but with almost no on screen hints or indicators the entire game, you very much need to pay attention and remember where things are. Audio is particularly important, listening for hints from companions or the terror-inducing 'scuttle' sound of the rats.
A little short, but that is to be expected from this type of game, I think. Any longer would probably have felt like unnecessary padding.

Started the Path of Fear - whichever DLC that is.
I like how they explore how many demons Lara has inside her with these "nightmare" DLCs across multiple games.

Yea hthe DLC's do sound quite interesting I know they'er supposedly quite short though which was why I kind of decided t owaittill they all came out befoer I went back in to play them. I know they'er all out it's jus tfinding the time t odo that second run now. Which unfortunately I've not been able t odo as yet hopefully at some point in the new year I will at least that's the plan now anyway.

Finally got around to playing the Dishonored DLC during an influenza spell. I didn't enjoy them anywhere near as much as either of the two full games, but they were good fun.
Started the Knife of Dunwall by going a bit nuts at the whale slaughterhouse. Those butcher mooks were so annoying and the entire warehouse felt like such a disgusting environment that I just killed them all and blew the building to hell. Add to that that I wasn't particularly careful about avoiding casualties on the way there and back, and I started the story with so many kills that it stayed High Chaos throughout. Although I wasn't exactly shy of killing overseers while repelling their attack on the whaler base either.
Billy Lurk and even the Outsider gave me so much flak for it that I was a lot more careful during Brigmore Witches, restraining myself from massacring Dunwall's gangs and infiltrating Coldridge Prison with only a few stealth accidents that resulted in deaths. Made a point of killing witches wherever I found them where they weren't walking together en masse, though. And sealed Delilah in a painting because I didn't trust her to stay dead. Barely ended the DLCs with low chaos.
Thought I might follow up by replaying the second game in the next few days.

Yakuza 0 My worries for the fights in the Cabaret Club quest line were unfounded. Or made me grind enough that it was a breeze. Either way, it worked. Finished the special training for all the girls. Mana was a treat so it was nice to go into her line blind. Out of the platinum hostesses only she and Chika haven't maxed out their levels yet, but just around 5 or so levels shy, so no biggie. Get a sizable income from each event in the club, so that's nice. Nowhere close to what Kiryu gets from his business, but at the same time Majima's skill tree is substantially cheaper. So it evens out. Started back on the main quest line today. Got to fight my favorite boy Nishitani twice. First round was perfection, got in a few hits breaker style then mopped the floor with him using the infinity bat. Pulled off two heat moves and the QTE timing was so on point. Just amazing. Then finish the talk with him and meet mad lad Sagawa again. Pause the cutscene and wander off out of the room and get distracted by real life. Which included baking a batch of festive cookies, so that was nice. Either way go back to the computer and find that the game was closed. Open it up again and see my latest save point is before the fight with Nishitani. Figure the game must've crashed during the cutscene. Anyways, redo the fight and it's the complete opposite. Get a pretty brutal stabbing animation from Nishitani and knocked to the floor. He manages to hit Majima repeatedly with his little knife. Fudge the second QTE and Majima ends up stabbing his own foot trying to pull off a "Kick the knife" animation. It was a disaster. Not really, it went way better than it went in the first run, but it was kinda bitter in regards to the fight earlier today. Wrapped up this chapter with Majima and cruised through Kiryu's bit as well. Found a thing much better than beating the bejeezus out of people with a stone shrine. Co-Op beating them up with Oda and Tachibana Was too much in a protect mode during the first run that I didn't even know it was possible and only figured it out since I looked up the hidden achivos. So much fun was had, and some glee in realizing I can also do co-op attacks with the security guards that sometimes pop up to help Kiryu. Yay. Ended the session just before starting Majima's next chapter, since I wanted to get a little bit more money for Kiryu before moving on.

So lets see here...ahem. In Madden: Well won my second Super Bowl...I am such a sucker for some of the things I do I know. Anyways had a few fairly impressive games scored a combined 150 points give or take. Sony Michel had 9 touchdowns across the three games of the playoffs eight rushing, one recieving. In the irst game of the playoffs I had 5 total Rushing TDs...and Brady didn't do too much. At least until the Super Bowl where he threw 5 TDs. It was funny since it ended up being against the Bucaneers and they were able to keep up with me. Finally was able to pull away in the fourth with some good drives and I stopped them like once ended up with a 52-34 lead...something like that. In Titanfall 2: No really feeling this game yet but then it is *free*...after a fashion. So so far I am going to stick with it...which is a bit of a stretch because last night I was having a lot of trouble with Kane and the suicide bots and just *scratches eyes out*. But then Anthem ambushed me with surprise patch so I was left with *little* recourse but to start it up again...and I defeated Kane in one go. I suppose my first sign of danger was the mere fact that you could not manually save, always a big no no for me. That and it is super annoying and unflowy and disorientating playing a FPS for the first time in a reallly long time. Plus the wall running seems finicky> Overall combat is OK but not great... Onto the bright side...by and large the game's tutorilizing seems really natural and in world and not out of it. Surprised that it had even a little RP mechanics...very basic RP mechanics but I like letting Cooper being a little shit to BT for the most part...but still cares about him. And level...I think it was three...had some of the best level design I have ever seen. Fighting through the pre fab...simulation factory?...was great.

Been doing pretty much everything except the main quest in B&W. Regis mentioned having to acquire a certain substance from an old vampire prison and Geralt said he had to "prepare" for that trip. Meaning, do anything else on my to-do list except that. Oddly enough, I ended up at the prison site while exploring but of course couldn't enter the dungeon part since apparently that requires a secret vampire password that presumably Regis knows.
Over the last couple of days Geralt has helped out some more vintners, aided a knight errant, killed a bunch of creepy-crawlies infesting vineyards and elsewhere, killed a bunch more bandits (no hanses yet), got 3 brothers back to speaking rather than killing terms, found the first two Manticore diagrams, solved a flying....er, falling....cow mystery, hunted and killed a shaelmaar, de-cursed an old amphitheater, almost completely renovated Corvo Bianco (just need the new armor stands), and guided a self-proclaimed nature lover/painter to 3 interesting subjects. I really love these paintings, and also the one you get to keep, but the panther one is my favorite.
Roach was getting into the party spirit while Geralt spoke with the count.
I bought the re-spec potion but haven't used it yet.

Playing a ton of Mech Warrior5. For some reason I can just sit and play it none stop. Nothing special other than giant mechs wrecking havoc. It brings back memories of MW4-Mercs and playing with my Team Banzai crazies in some MWL action.

Doing a Soldier run of ME3, my preferred build uses Concussive Shot with the Amplify upgrade in tandem with the Ammo powers; ironically it means I never fire the gun. Apparently, the game agreed with me, and the weapon models stopped being rendered. So Shepard saved the Citadel with finger-guns. "Who needs Biotics or Tech when you have these guns!" **kisses biceps** (Also, with Cryo Ammo, using the above build turns every conflict into a lethal snowball fight.) "Merry Christmas you Cerberus bastards!" The Illusive Man is getting coal this year for sure. Indeed or in my Shep's case here's a plasma fireball to heat up your christmas pudding Mr Illusive. Given mine's an engineer and I've maxed out Incinerate in my ME2 playthrough atm with the Incinerate blast upgrade. Reminds me of a ME2 PT where I just gave infinite ammo to the Cain. I know it sounds boring...but trust me, it wasn't

Right, time for some more Tomb Raider..
...
What?
No? Not that one?
Oh.
Oh, you mean this one.
The one with the really...
.. Boss fight. Thank crap that's over. Right, this bit came out of nowhere. Lara went from relatively cool, calm customer to bit of a nutter. There was nowhere near enough build-up or character development for this. Nice bit of pistol whipping though, but I don't get why she spares this woman's life (given she tried to kill her and her mum) yet has killed loads before, including two major other villains without a second thought.
And uninstall.

Slowly coming to grips with RDR2, mostly ignoring the story and just cantering around the countryside. I found a treasure map here! Of course...I thought I was getting treasure, since I stole the treasure map from some famous adventurer. He wanted me to pay $10 for it! Pfft. After a restful night in camp I love the little townships you can find just by roaming around. So far not much to do in them, except buy and sell, but they all add to the flavour of the world.

Yakuza 0. Ended up lollygagging with Kiryu quite a bit. Massed up a decent fund of money and managed to whittle through the Mr. Shakedown saga in Kamurocho. Which ended up being quite fun, even if the fights were quite rage inducing. But the idea of travelling to the moon for the ultimate survival training was amusing. Also played a bunch of Outrun and got the score needed to check it off the completion list. Still didn't make it to the finish line and pretty sure I wont in the future. Then eventually moved on to Majima and had another lovely encounter with Nishitani. I love that guy. Alas. The game hates me and there will be no co-op killing with my favorite murder machine. Got a fun glitch with him and a new weapon appeared in Majima's inventory. The Debug weapon which must never see the light of day. Also a bunch of potions turned into bullet proof class and one wearable item became a strawberry parfait. So that was something. Apparently it should have fixed itself on a save and reload, but didn't want to risk it so just reloaded before that happened. But will cherish the memories always. Went to the house of the graceful dolphin men and managed to snag a picture of them leaping out. And another of kicking them back in the water where they belong. Otherwise it was a lovely time. Also snagged a picture of the lotus pond room, because again, lovely. Wrapped up the story bit there and went back to Kiryu. Who visited Sotenbori and briefly attempted the fight club until I lost and quit in a huff. Luckily I got the call soon after to move the plot along where I met my match. The Car Chase. Actually found it really easy on normal, so wasn't terribly worried about it. But ahaha how wrong I was. Got absolutely wrecked. Several times. Until I said stop, sleeping time and quit. Will hopefully pick it up tomorrow. I wasn't too far from the end so to speak, but nowhere near close enough to be optimistic about my chances. So bah. BUT. If I get through it, it will be pretty much home run from there. Since I've got enough healing items to run a hospital for ten years, so once I can get my hands on them again, well, if I can't fight them to death I'll just out live them. Hahaha. So yeah, had a grand old time.
