Started assassin's Creed Syndicate over GeForce Now, since my toaster can't run it well even on lowest settings. Finished sequence 1 so far and will certainly continue playing since i took complementary 90 days Founders GeForce Now membership.

My GW2 necromancer is now in full ascended gear. I crafted the remaining armor pieces I was missing over the last week (I had to buy materials and some crafting parts are daily gated) And going by the stats difference...it probably wasn't work it lol.
Saying that, I'm kinda bored of GW2 (played 61 hours over the last few weeks), so I tried a few of my older games, but nothing really grabs me. That means I reinstalled.... Dragon Age Origins (my last playthrough was last year, I actually 100% DAO and DAI...couldn't finish DA2).
I haven't started a new character with it though, but I love the intro so much. I'm kinda sad DAI didn't have one of those.

Dutch Van Der Linde is my favorite thing about the Red Dead franchise. His weird mix of revolutionary firebrand, gun-toting redneck, smarmy gentleman and manipulative cult leader just never gets old. And then Benjamin Byron Davis' voice. Love him to death. And both he and the Robert Wiethoff do great jobs projecting younger and more energetic voices for the same characters as they played in the first game. That's amazing. I usually play Arthur as uncompromisingly brutal on the job and when he's in a sour mood, while being very much a sensitive soul under calmer circumstances. Dutch and Hosea didn't raise him to shoot and kill fellers just for existing. Only to make a point. But that dude was an O'Driscoll, and punched his hat off besides. Dicked around in the snow for a while running errands, hunting, raking John's nuts out the fire as usual. The whole gang is great, but I especially like Javier. He seems a lot more cheerful, sensible and dependable than his appearance in RDR would have suggested. And of course, robbed the train. Decided to order the three rich little piggies back up into their cart and shot them there, so their blood and piss and feces would ruin that nice carpet and stink the whole ridiculous carriage up as a little message to whichever city fellas in the east are gonna open the present I sent their way. Felt pretty good about that. Gotta let them government boys know where things stand.

After getting Yoana set up I decided to help Hattori before getting Uma so I could have my next level swords ready to go once I reach the required levels. Waiting to do this quest until I was close to its level made dealing with Cleaver's thugs a cake walk.
Once he was up and running, he had a few more diagram maps for sale so I grabbed those and went hunting again. Along the way I cleared out a few cannibal bandit camps.
Now I'm finally ready to get Uma, make an unscheduled stop back at Vizima (and play that noble for his card), then head to Kaer Morhen. Oooh, Wolfy diagrams, here I come!

Resumed a Mass Effect playthrough I started ages ago. After being a console scrub for maaaany years, it's kinda weird playing on pc. Or laptop in my case. Anyway. Feros. Time to get creeped out by mind controlled ExoGeni employees! You're all grown up now on the PC. It brings a tear to my eye. Awww thanks dad !

I was supposed to tackle this thief, but like so many other times in this game pressing E did nothing. I was running around banging into her and chasing her, madly hitting the prompted E key to no avail. In the end I just shot her 10 times in the back. I got a warning that assassins don't kill people.

I do like Odyssey and both voice actors. I think they're really good. I also think the VO for Bayek was top notch. But there was something magical about Syndicate with the setting and VOs. It was so playful and genuine and I loved it. I agree, I think the downfall for me with Odyssey is that I couldn't find the magic for the game, but to me it has more to do with the systems behind the game then anything else. Things like the skill tree or how much gear impacts the different trees so you must have multiple gear loadouts otherwise you are hurting different areas of the game especially when it comes to more difficulty encounters such as Bounty Hunters versus an stealth attack on location. The game does have saved gear set-up slots if I remember correctly. I just chose a set-up and path early and stuck to it each PT so I didn't bother with swapping gear "types" out very often.

I don't remember that being a problem but is it gated, like if they get out of a certain area it wont work? Do you have sleep darts, not sure if you have them in Syndicate helps avoid the killing thing? Is this your first AC game? All AC games frown on you killing civilians in particular and you will be De-Synchronised from the memory if you do it too much.

I do that, but its just not a system I am a big fan of. I think I got annoyed because I forgot to keep my Warrior path gear updated so I got caught with gear that was just over 10 level below my level and had to go out and upgrade it at a blacksmith after wondering why I was being manhandled during a section of the game.

So BF 2:
Its going to be a bit of a blur because I actually jumped on with a squad of friends on the game. And by it was fun as hell though I know that much for sure. A lot of co ops...a lot of co op defeats which turned into victories. Lot of levelling up all my great characters and I think I got like 4 more levels with Rey. I tell you half way as a joke, just like I told them halfway as a joke, that I think I want to max level her up and then probably have nothing to do with the game ever again. Well she is in the 40s now. Oh I wish they'd do a tripple XP weekend...should be one soon! But yeah last match was one of the most fun. I mean this was actually just a lot of fun because there was a bit on Geionisis where all four of us were sticking together to sweep through the objectives and we just wrecked anyone that would get in our way...Dooku....Maul... any poor clanker! Then for the last match on SK base with the Resistance I got a 27 kill streak going with Rey.

Its my personal favorite of the series. I am liking Odyssey, but it doesn't feel like an Assassin's Creed game to me regardless of how many people I stealth kill on mass. I think its why I bulldozed through Syndicate for I couldn't get enough, but at times it feels like a chore to work on my first playthrough of Odyssey. I also had to uninstall Syndicate so I would play Odyssey and not just log into Syndicate. I do like Odyssey and both voice actors. I think they're really good. I also think the VO for Bayek was top notch. But there was something magical about Syndicate with the setting and VOs. It was so playful and genuine and I loved it. The diehard AC fans usually hate on Syndicate and Odyssey. And here we, the Bioware crowd, mostly love them. Same studio did both games as well. I see a pattern 😊

Started Control: great start, story and atmosphere sucked me in quickly. But 10 hours in the infuriating difficulty fetish and inane gameplay mechanics are now getting in the way of the game’s strengths. I’m not sure I’ll finish now and it pisses me off.
Devs.. stop fucking your story raw with idiotic gameplay decisions!

Did some swtor and decided to take a break. After all, I've been ploughing through it for the past two weeks. It's a toss up between ACOD and Dishonored II. I went for ACOD I had a fresh PT hanging, started into it for perhaps an hour on Kefalonia before I left it. I thought I would be rusty and I was kind of; I accidentally killed Phobos by pressing R instead of E. Sorry Phobos. Five minutes in and I ran into the mercenary set on Kass. He immediately set me laughing after a brief fight; he died so gracefully. He leaped into the air, kind of tripped on the small boulder in his path and would have completed his lunge except that the fire got the better of him. So he died in a kind of swan dive. After an hour or so, Marcos told Kass about strangers that came to the island. Off she went to investigate. There were guards. bah, it's night. No matter. I put Kass atop a big boulder and shot at one of the guards. He screamed and fire dance. That woke up his two pals nearby and both shot awake and leaped to their feet and into the brazier in their room. Fire! Fire! I'm on F******* fire! I watched all three of them danced frantically and at the weird dance. It's a sort of shuffling to the side and they even exchanged ordinary conversation while at it. It never gets old. I can't wait to see the funnies the devs would put into the next AC.

Also going to do another pt of Odyssey as well, but as Alexios, but that won't be a while as I only recently finished with Kassandra. And stopped saying malaka every 2 minutes

Was going to play DAI next but maybe will play ACOD again, Kass's humour and the games in general was a highlight for me.

LOL yeah but as long as they're not civilians, got booted in ACOD a few times for getting frustrated with idiots with pieces of wood attacking me and decided to run amok. Me - "Let me kill this guard in front of these slaves at this marble quarry and they can be free" Slaves - "They killed the guards of the system that was keeping us here, lets attack them" <three hours later> Me - "No civilians left alive and four bounty hunters are dead, I guess they didn't want to be free" Another tragic case of violent Stockholm Syndrome...

At one point of the story you have to lurk there. Alexios aggroed the guards, got out, aggroed the whole civilian market, bounty hunters entered the chat... I used Sparta kick and stun arrows. After the fight ended, I managed to make a somewhat decent pyre of bodies (from carrying the still stunned and alive participants onto the same spot). Put some black oil jars (from the market) around, got to the roof of the nearest building and ceremoniously threw a fire torch down. If the game doesn't desync you for that, it won't desync you for anything!
In my defense - I was role-playing Alexios as a crazy pyromaniac. Don't play with fire, kids.

I'm also looking forward to next AC. Low-key hoping for some Viking action! Also going to do another pt of Odyssey as well, but as Alexios, but that won't be a while as I only recently finished with Kassandra. And stopped saying malaka every 2 minutes I was looking forward to it, until Ubisoft revealed their true colors and ruined the game and series with the DLCs.
