5000-6000 gols is a bit pricey when you are fresh out of the boat. I'll need to get myself a fishing rod and be lucky with what I catch to afford that early (aka get a king fish early). I already slowed down the time. I really like that feature. Also keep an eye on the selling percentage in the stores. If it's 70% the chair is somewhat less than 5000 gols. But yeah it's a hefty price, but personally I found it worth it. I quite like the fishing spot near the docks where Wuwa lives, since you can get Bubblefish there and that's a fairly easy 100 gols fish. Also tended to get pretty lucky with King Salmons there, but that's purely luck based I think. The one by the waterfall does have goliaths which are around 350, but I just find them too much of a pain to catch. Then there is the fishing festival in spring, might get lucky there.

Life Is Strange - True Colours Watched a bit of the game play. I wasn't impressed by the sequel; Life Is Strange 2 which I didn't buy so I hope the third is as good as the first or near it. No rating on it yet.
I watched all of the main story and a good chunk of the DLC (Steph's) story, and I have to say it looks good.
Certainly better than 2, IMO. Not worth the current price of admission to me, though, so I'm holding off.
Maybe if they drop a 10% discount on Christmas. I'd certainly be rather tempted then... But I also want the Remasters while at it, so it's an 80EUR price tag. Part of why I'm so reluctant, it's pretty steep.
I'm definitely looking to see what games are going on sale for Christmas. I agree on the price of True Colours. It's too expensive. Edit. I've been reading the reviews. Mostly good but the lack of interesting places within the game, the reduction of episode length reduced to two hours, the incohesive storylines is pointed out a lot. I'm going to watch a complete PT and see whether it's worth buying when it goes on sale.

King fish have <1% chance of taking the bait, spots with more fishes type have the lowest chances. I think that % is higher during the festival thought. I'm actually good at the fishing mini-game (unlike in Stardew Valley) and the last time I played I "discovered" that fishing was very lucrative super early. I think I'm going to take it slooooooooow. Do fishing and/or mining all day long to build money and resources. I came to Portia for the nice weather and activities, not fix the entire town. They have Higgins for that. I just read on the wiki that you restore stamina very very slowly just sitting on chair/benches. With the slower day setting this might be a cheap option early on (as slower day means more restored per in-game time). Have you looked at My Time at Sandrock stuff? Early access should start early next year. I love the new mini-games they showed so far. edit: and I'm thinking of going for Oaks because bear. Keeping the same mood as my LoTRO character.

LiS 3 True Colours - gameplay viewing Almost three hours in and I'm zzzZZZzzz. I'm not getting pulled into the game, I'm falling asleep! The game does not start off with a bang like LiS 1 where the player's emotions and desire to know more is already in play within the hour. The atmosphere, the environment, the music, the incident at the girls' restroom and the strange mysterious event. Boom! Player attention is riveted; do you want to know more? Click on! LiS 1 invites and entices the player to keep playing in the search for answers. LiS 3? The pace is slow. While I know what the protag's powers are about, she and the events that are happening are just humdrum / predictable. There's no paranormal mystery. It's IMO btw.

Definitely agree on taking it slow the first few weeks. Even just taking a day off and go exploring. Get a small stockpile down before thinking about the main quest. Chairs do restore one point a second or something, so you can do it but it also takes a really long time and you can't check the inventory and stuff meanwhile, so I'm too squirrely for that, but it's an option. I do have the limited demo version for Sandrock they released ages ago and have tried bit of it, but haven't really been keeping up with it since I'm pretty committed on buying the game when it comes out, so want all the exploration and wonder stuff. But what I've seen looks lovely. The character creator is much nicer and the town seems very friendly. So very excited for the release, but also hope they take their time and iron stuff out as well. Oaks is pretty sweet from what I've interacted with them. Made specific social groups for my runs and haven't had one with him in it yet so can't really comment much about him. But he's very cute and diligent in keeping the fields free of llama poop.

My Time at Portia I settled on a character look and voice. I got my builder license and fixed the workshop/house so I got full stamina on the morning of day 3. Now I need more woods and stones and others stuff to make a few essentials. Like a fishing rod, chest to store stuff, a cutter to make wood boards, etc. I also stole a bronze bar from Higgins's shop while he was looking for a commission.

Star Wars: KotORSo my newest attempt is going a lot smoother, and I've so far finished up three planets (Dantooine, Tatooine and Kashyyyk) and finished up quests for Bastila and Mission. Still need Carth's mission to drop (but he's a stubborn paranoid piece of...*cough*), as well as Juhani and Canderous but I'm sure I'll be able to get those soon as well
At present landed on Manaan, will be doing the quests on that planet tomorrow, barring accessing the Star Map because I'll leave it until I finished up Korriban...mostly since Manaan's map requires me to go down in a submarine and well, it'll be easier for me to avoid it and give met time to get the companion quests done as well.
So far I've became a Jedi Consular, helped settle a feud on Dantooine (had the two families reconcile...for lack of a better word, stubborn old coots ), made "peace" with the Sand People by giving them a moisturizer and kicked out the slavers from Kashyyyk And as said above, helped Mission find her brother, and helped Bastila reconcile with her mother.

LOTRO I got everything I wanted from the harvest festival so my Beorning is back killing goblins, wargs and orcs/half-orcs in the Lone-lands. Also, lots of spiders, wolves and some birds...because angry fauna you know. The Lone-lands are nice to do, because you get a lots of quests that just send you to same area at the same time with all questgivers standing near each others. Not much back&forth in there and doing everything at the same time speed things up a lot. Things are easy to kill too, especially when over level everything. I'm doing level 25 quests at almost level 30, I fear things are going to turn grey soon, I guess I'll switch to do the epic quests only if that happens. My Time at Portia I had to restart day #3 multiple times. I always forgot to make chests right after waking up so I ended up with a full inventory every time with stuff laying on the ground all over the place. I just get easily distracted in this game it seems. Now I'm a few days later and I got things going. I managed to build a few machines to make stuff. I even did 3 commissions too, but two of them was making stone stools which only require stones and no building time. Easy-money and guild points. I also did a big commission for the guild and it only took 2 days despite me missing some items/gear. Curious Crow is right about the best fishing spot. Those fishes are easy to catch with the beginner rod and I even got a king bubblefish ($5000) already. So I'm rich...until I spent all of it on a massage chair. I really need it. I run out of stamina by noon currently...

Finished Metro Exodus. Took me 25h. Got the bad ending, as expected. You need to have 2 of the 3 crew members still around and healthy. Yeah, no . I tried but, sorry. That was really painful to watch. Then I went online and watched the good ending. Also sad.
Really great storytelling, I was quite surprised I found the journey so emotional. Endings are very well presented.
Still miffed I got the bad ending just because the game is not clear at all about the invisible morality and harsh requirements. I doubt that a lot of people new to the franchise like me managed a good ending unless they read a guide. Oh well.
I'm not going to play the previous Metro games though now. The last part of Exodus plays in the tunnels and I do NOT enjoy the horror aspect of the game and all the mutant attacks. I don't like games set in dark tunnels. So Exodus was a departure from that in my savor. My boyfriend played the previous games but has no interest in Exidzs exactly be aus with plays on the surface most of the time. And that destroys the vibe for him. Fair enough.
I started playing Wasteland 2 despite the warning that it's not fun after Wasteland 3. Well... it really is painful. :/ I had to look up how to use a friggin healing item. Because you don't just select "Use" and that's that. No, after that you leave the menu and THEN you need to select the person you want to give it to. Why??? Totally unintuitive. Kept thinking it didn't work.
Even though I select the easiest difficulty, I still got my ass kicked badly on my very first mission. And it took over an our to clear the first camp. That was NOT fun. I hate long drawn out combat. DOS2 was borderline in that respect but the music made up for it. The writing is decent and I appreciate the added voice acting. But I'm not sure I want to keep playing after 3h. This game might be too old school for me. The gameplay is REALLY dated and the menus cunbersome AF. I had a blast with Wasteland 3 but the jump in quality is along the lines of Witcher 2 to 3. Or maybe. W1 to W2, since Witcher 1 was unplayable to me after 3.
I might try and play some more today. Might be it's just not a game to play after work when I want to relax. Just reading the small font of non voiced lines is not something I wanna do after staring at my work PC all day.

Wasteland 2 EDIT:
OK, WTF. I just found out watching a video on the first two hours of the game that apparently I'm supposed to have a full team! O______o I was running solo around the outskirts of the base and then found Angela Death as a companion. And as a party of two we set out.
Is that why it was so tough?!
But... HOW do I get the others to tag along??? I did think it was weird that I was sent alone...
Lol? I'm so confused now...
Edit 2: So apparently you're supposed to create your team right in the initial character creator. Ummm, what?! I created my ranger and then the game started. And I got no companions. How does one skip companion creation without realizing it?
And does that mean I have to start over again?!?!
Edit3: Yup. I'm definitely stupid. Got it now. Starting over. 3h wasted. But hey I accidentally shot a guy's beloved dog. So...

WoTR - female PC Angel Mythical Path Finished the game. For the ending slides; World Wound - I closed it. For the golden dragon PT, I didn't. Drezen - well managed, remained an important city for more than a hundred years (same as the golden dragon) Companions / NPC - I finally have the companion / NPC slides which only goes to prove I FU the golden dragon PT. LI went with PC. I chose Galfrey again because really, the poor woman needs a break from more than a hundred years of duty. I supposed Galfrey will live out her natural life and die. After that I suppose the PC will ascend to heaven. After all, the whole point of delaying ascension twice is for Galfrey. Demons - I have a vastly different ending for Norticula in the Angel PT. She becomes what Ember wants her to be! I know Norticula can be romanced but I'll go with the trickster path rather than the demon / evil path if I were to try that Final decision I interceded for Areelu. For the golden dragon PT, the world wound is not closed and Areela chose to help the PC managed it. However she eventually died because of the wound. Pharasma sent her to Nirvana to rest her soul. For the Angel PT, Pharasma sent her to Maelstrom, to choose to find her soul / herself again or be destroyed by failure The Captain Seikind quest is bugged so I failed that. He is supposed to give a quest if he's spoken to in Act III. However, there is nothing to indicate the PC should talk to him so the location isn't revealed and there's no way to do his quest in Act V. The Storyteller. I know he has a complete ending if all his writings are recovered. Although I picked up one of his written sheets in Threshold, there's no opportunity to give it to him. Unless the player exit the fortress. I never thought of that though. I doubt that's the last sheet. I'm pretty much done with WoTR. I'll probably jump back to Skyrim or MELE.

I am still playing some games at the same time. First - Atelier Lydie & Suelle. I love something that's not that heavy some times, and The Atelier series is just that. Secondly - Tales of Arise... It's a Tales title, so Yeah... Third - Kena Bridge of Spirits.. Beautiful, just beautiful... Need to say more? And now and then - a replay of Blue Reflection, Because Blue reflection: Second Light is around the corner. I combine this replay with a watch through the complete Anime of course.
Yeah - I'm busy these days...

Baldurs Gate 3
With the new patch, which contains a new class (sorcerer), a new area and some other new stuff, I decided to start another playthrough. Mods are luckily working again (I don't like the for now very limited collection of armor), so all is well.
My Drow hal elf Lyara Sun had a very bad day: She woke up on a mindfalyer ship with a massive headache and a wish to escape, after she not only found out some of the things going on (for example, that the ship is currently in hell...literally ... and Gith with their dragons are hunting it plus demons aren't too happy about the new arrival too). She made sone strange friends along the way - a talking brain, a standoffish Gith lady and a half elf priestress who doesn't like said Gith. They made their escape and Lyara and the priestress landed on a beach. They met another survivor, but he tried to attack them, so they sent him on his way alone (yay you can finally tell Astarion to get lost). Now they are on a quest to find a healer - and maybe other survivors along the way, that are a bit nicer.
Not just Lyara can smile - look at this happy dragon

All right. I fixed my dumbness and have successfully restarted the game with a full squad: Now I started out with 5 peole (one a companion) instead of 2! WOOOOW! Now everything is SO MUCH easier, lol! Enjoying the game now! Currently making my way through the crazy plant mutation madness at the agricultural center. Went there first this time instead of going to Highpool. So it's new. Had to look up a bunch of game mechanics though because the game is not particularly intuitive and you get lost in (hidden) options. Like how to shoot plants blocking a doorway... You'd think after playing the third game, i would know evewrything but no. Plenty of awkward navigating they changed for the better since. Some rooms are blocked for me because I don't have a heavy weapon guy, and there are weird vines there that can only be destroyed that way for some reason. Oh well. Everything else I can open, even though some low chance stuff I had to save scum reload like ten times. So not seeing the appeal of such mechanics but OK. 28% lockpicking, I can do it!

My time at PortiaOne week in Portia already and Fishing Day is coming soon. I had a cat follow me around for a while one day. She even entered my house! I feed her a salmon, she clearly wanted more. I got the Massage Chair too and it is awesome. I can now waste all my energy mining in the morning, sit for a bit and then do the same thing with fishing/cutting wood or whatever use stamina in the afternoon/evening. I think I need to set myself a "game day" where I waste my evening playing mini-games at The Round Table. Currently I mostly just mine and fish really. My current goals: getting worktable level 2. I got the money. I got the old parts. I'm missing the wooden boards because they are used in so many things that as soon as I made some, I use them. And my cutter that makes them is overworked already. I need another one. I started fighting things out there too. Poor llamas, crabs, bugs, sea urchins with an umbrella and pandas with bat wings. I love the fauna in this game. LoTROStill in the Lone-lands. I went and cleared Weathertop so the Frodo and friends didn't get killed by orcs and goblins once they got there. It was amusing to see all the villain being surprised by the Beorning invading there little base. Yes baddies, big bear coming to trash you. After that I continued questing into the Lone-lands (it has a lots of quest). I'm now getting into the swampy area of the Lone-lands, which is near the spider infested area... I finally got the bear form AOE at level 30. It's crazy. A 8.5 channel where you are immune to effects that would interrupt the channel (outside you moving) that deals a good amount of damage pet hits over that 8.5 seconds on a cone in front of you (you can turn around without breaking it)...and because I took the healer spec, that thing heals me (technically another AOE). But it has a 30 seconds cooldown...

I played My Time at Portia some more today. I almost won all rounds of Fishing Day(s). The last two (of 6) I barely got Emperor fishes, so I finished second both times. Not that it take much difference reward-wise, I only have 4 less of everything. Yeah, 56 badges and 56 x 3 different fish based meal. These are going to last me a while. I bought a pair of pants with the badges. I'll be using those once I got into the Hazardous Ruins (I should gain access in a few days). I also made lots of gols out of the fishes I sold and I haven't sold the king fish I captured yet (>$5000 in-coming, I'm going to sell it when there is a good inflation). I also kept one of every emperor fishes, they are needed for the museum to get the best fishing rod. Once there is a museum in Portia (not any time soon, but whatever). I also ended up making the bridge to Amber isle, but I haven't turned the quest in yet. Mostly because I went to bed after doing that. Something a bit annoying. Emilie showed up the morning of day 2 of Finishing Day with a timed quest. I just ran straight off to the fishing competition instead of doing it calculating that I should still have some time after it ended to do it. Indeed, 55 in-game minutes left, then remove running like crazy back to the workshop, so more like 20. But it was a success.

BG3
Lyara Sun found some more companions, including the Githyanki from the ship and a wizard, who is a bit full of himself, but nice enough.
The group cleared out an old chapel with a creepy crypt and dead scribes, that came alive and attacked us and a very talkative skeleton, who was much more friendly.
After that, the group found the druid grove and helped fight off an goblin attack. In the grove they helped some people - saved one child from an evil druid, another from harpies, helped a bard composing her song and promised the leader of the tiefling, Zevlor, to investigate Kagha (the evil druid). During a rest a cambion approached Liyara and offered to get rid of the mindflayer tadpole, but she refused him, since she doesn't trust them.
Now the group is on the way to find Halsin, the first druid of the grove, because he seems to be an accomplished healer and maybe knows a bit more about whats going on.
They are in an abandoned village right now, fighting some goblins and (sadly) spiders.
Oh and Lyara found Scratch, the cute dog, that becomes a camp companion - they reskinned him and he is now even more precious.

Tales of AriseToday, I picked up a stray and proved the old adage Feed a cat, Keep a cat. He has major psychological problems but I see us becoming the best of buds. Eventually. With a lot of arm twisting. And bribes. Nevertheless, I did hope for some commiseration from our fearless leader when I came crying for advice. But all I got was: “You invited him along. He’s your liability.” “What was I supposed to do, just leave him?” “Fine. Just don’t come crying to me about it, alright? I’ve got enough deadbeats slowing me down as it is.” Ooof! That was scary!

Been bingeplaying the Luxury DLC for House Flipper and finished flipping the final storyline house today. All in all it was pretty fun. Still got like all the ownable houses left, but not really in the mood for them right now. The mission houses were pretty fun though. Quite liked the little intro dialog introducing you to the house and what was expected of you, would've loved an outro as well when finishing, but guess I'll make do with money.
Favorite house gameplaywise was probably Lousy Contractors one. Premise being that you're picking up a job after another company botched it. You get tons of paints and tiles they left behind, so you get to use a bunch of the "trash" in the house to fix it up. Felt kinda nice. Favorite visibly was probably the old music house or the house you do for a painter family. Nice sort of old luxury. Lots of wooden furniture and stuff. Tiny Yacht was also kind of neat. Least favorite was house on the Cliff. It was pretty minimalist and just meh.
The vibe mechanic was both good and bad. The little inspiration pictures looked really good, but didn't like that you couldn't see all the items you had to work with right away. So maybe you found a nice bed but all the nightstands you had to work with were a big old nope and you'd have to sell the bed at a loss or spend the rest of the time glaring at the crime you just committed.
So all in all had a good time with it. One of the achivo's is bugged, so probably going to pick it up again once it gets fixed and maybe redo my favorite houses.

GW2"Return to Icebrood" start this week, so I'm going to have to put some time into this I guess. I started LS2 on my Norn Tempest thought. So far, it's not as squishy as I expected (or read) and it kill stuff faster than my Necros did. But one of the mission I did was a bit annoying. I'm running main hand dagger which has 2 great mobility skills on Elementalist, but the mission had a section on the edge of a very high cliff, using any mobility skills is basically suicide. Anyhow, I still managed to it. LoTROStill in the Lone-Lands. Did I mention the area had a lots of quests? Probably more than the Shire which has >75 quests (there is a deed to do that many, but I skipped a few and had no issue finishing the deed). I'm in the last section of the Lone-lands thought. SWTORI did the Black Sun section of Coruscant on my Scoundrel. Beat Darmas at Sabbacc and meet a Sulustran lawman going after Skavac too. He's popular, we have to give him that. My Scoundrel too is getting popular, more bounty hunters showed up. Next: Justicar territory. One day I'll get my ship back. One day. My Time at PortiaI unlocked the second "mine" so now I can make iron and stuff. I already upgraded my tools...and chopped down the big oaks around my workshops. They will grow back. I also got access to a "dungeon" now and cleared the first level. I'm high level enough to do the second one too. My Workshop is now level C, which means I can do weekend inspections! I love that mini-game. I's a find the errors between two identical things, it's usually easy to do. I'm currently trying to build a stash of bronze ingots, but they are used in so many things that I can't manage it. I wish copper ingots were used that much for useful things... And I'm almost done with Spring, a few days left now.

Would also suggest you start hoarding Carbon Steel ingots since they will soon be the new bronze and you will never have enough of those. Never. And since you haven't mentioned it, the Civil Corps have a commission board which is a nice way to get stuff like furs, mucus and spines for a small fee. Also Tempering Liquids as you unlock more floors in the mine. Always seem to run out of those way to quick. Also don't sleep on the research center, better tools = easier work = more time to slack off. And making a couple of magnifying glasses with the worktable is nice for the inspection work, since you can spend one to highlight a flaw, which is really nice when you're having a brain fart and your eyes have started melting from staring at objects for too long. Or just want to be a bit quicker about it. And since I forgot. Hurrah Massage Chair \o/

If I can get other people to do work for me, I'm going to exploit it. I already started to make charcoals for the carbon steel and I was planning on making another civil furnace to help out, but it needs bronze plates, which means lots of bronze ingots...which I always run out off. I already got all the 5 discs research diagrams (not all built yet because it needed stuff from the Sewer/mine #2) and waiting for my first 10 discs one. I'll get everything eventually. I'm not in an hurry. Playing at 50% day duration + Massage Chair = plenty of time in a day to do things. I almost have 1000 iron and manganese ore already and only spent a few hours on two days in the mine to get it. I usually spend ~3 hours fighting per day, which is how I finance myself. I even built 5 Dee-dee transports already and I'm going to time things with the cave to make sure I get the achievement for turning in all 5 commissions for it. At this point, I'm almost dreaming of beating Higgins in the first month, but his 5000 points when you start at 0 on day 1 is such a cheat. I'm going to be #2 hopefully.

Getting my ass handed to me by the undead in the Disciples: Liberation demo. Still 3 more days to go for the full launch, so I am carefully rationing it, until then. Getting fucked by the undead helps stretch it out. Also, have you guys seen Songs of Conquest? I neeEEEEEEEEEEEED IIIIIT! It's so beautiful. It's not out yet. It will be, some time next year.

Been doing my usual post game clean up operation when I finish the game(s) start editing videos and taking any screen caps off of there so that I can delete them and save the hardrive space...which on the 5 is even more precious given circumstances. It is also something that I find a bit...back and forth on. Obviously I am more aapt to take pics and video if it is a character I actually design like I only took exactly one video and one pic for God of War. But then HZD I did actually take a LOT of video to...so weird. Speaking of which. AvengersHawkeye has a severe case of...indigestion. Bow porn And well I finished Hawkeye's 'Future Imperfect' scenario. And well I FINISHED FUTURE IMPERFECT. Not as long as I would like but I'll take it. I can't say I am overly fond of Avenger's boss design as a matter of course...it seems the combat system is fine when you are dealing with mooks but dealing with *actual* boses...bleck. There is no cover, seemingly no real weak spots where you can make them take mega damage...like for God of War or Vahalla...its just a giant grind fest and pumping Maestro full of arrows. I will say though that for some real reason...it was also one of the most intense boss fights I have ever experienced. Even my wife's chest was pumping as well and she was just watching me. Just the levels of concentration needed and the tension really pulled it off. Reminded me a lot of the fight against Saarth in that way. Going to be curious to see if this plot line continues in the other expansions. Now this is the middle of the three released so far but the thing about live service games that they seem to do is have these expansions tell an ongoing story (one of the reasons why free expansions are a good thing as well) like it was clear that is what Anthem was trying to do and I think Breakpoint had an idea but they ended up retooling as well. But yeah lets see if anymore of this invasion stuff is hinted at in the War for Wakanda...and then even the Strange expansion if it gets released will be interesting to see if it pops up there.
