AC Valhalla RR is done. At the last, Eivor received a threatening letter from anonymous, regarding the raids. So despite trying to be "incognito", someone knows Eivor is responsible. I don't suppose this will play into a DLC, it could be another notch on her adventure totem or it could be her finale, depending on when Ubi and the writers would end Eivor's adventures. She certainly wouldn't be going on any long term quest like Kassandra for her finale though I wouldn't mind if Kassandra swung around one more time and this time, when she leaves, she takes Eivor with her. Eivor would eventually return to America and passed away.

God of War
Ever since HZD I am skeptical on overhyped Sony exclusives. Not that HZD was a bad game. It was just good and not quite the masterpiece everyone was gushing about. So I didn't have big expectations on GoW.
After nearly 15 hours I think it's better than HZD. While I think the HZD combat is more appealing due to the robots/weak points/tools, GoW is more entertaining as a whole. The father/son dynamic fills the void while running around and there aren't all those silent stretches that HZD has in between quest givers. Also the game is fairly linear, which helps build up the story at a nice pace and throw more dialogue at appropriate times. And say what you will, but we play Teal'c. Almost the same attitude.
The puzzles are not a boring copy-pasted repeat so far (AC Valhalla, I am looking at you), but I swear it's better to play with M/KB for the axe throwing ones alone. I wasted like 10 minutes trying to hit 3 bells as fast as I could with a controller. Then just grabbed the mouse and bam, done in the first try. And now I play exclusively with M/KB instead.
I only watched a recap of the previous games, but it seems the theme is painting the gods in the worst possible light. Not that it's not true if we recall specific myths. Damn, Odin and Thor are quite the jackasses if you pay attention to the Codex and what some characters say.
The gearing system could use a touch, but it's serviceable and you don't have to look at it too often anyway.
I'm waiting for a sale on GOW. I watched the entire gameplay when the game came out. The story and characters are solid. Still, I'm not willing to pay over $60 for it.

Polished off chapter 2 in The Witcher 2. Picked Roche's path this time around because I'm tired of feeling awkward when Geralt comes to him begging for help in Wild Hunt after running off with the elf terrorist, and because I like that he gets to know Sile and Radovid a bit better, and gets to play with the other Viper witchers(Auckles and something or other) since they're kind of integral to the plot and Iorveth's path feels a bit like he just dumps that whole plotline to play rebel instead. Actually forgot that it would also come at the cost of meeting Philippa properly though, and that chafes a bit. Not because I like her, of course, but because it feels like Geralt won't understand just how hateworthy she truly is by Wild Hunt if he goes with Roche. Relying on Signs in TW2 turns out to be a lot of fun in the early game on Dark difficulty, when it's all about using all the different Signs strategically and using the sword for raw damage and finishing opponents. But when you progress enough and start piling on the Sign Damage/Intensity and upgrade Igni to an AOE it starts becoming a waste of Vigor bars to use anything else, which is a shame. Hoping Wild Hunt handles it better overall. Always liked that Igni has much more tactical uses in that one. Hoping for some better luck on my next attempt on playing this series which I'm planning on soon. Only getting t osee the first half of Witcher 1 before a virus wiped m ygame ou twas no tpart of my original plan. I was enjoying the story so I think once I can get to grips wit hthe games mechanics and everything I think it'll be worth it. Looking forward to it after I'm don ewith my Final Fanatasy playthroughs

If you watched the game and know the story and all, I guess there is no rush. I went completely blind and while I guessed quite a bit of the reveals, I am still curious to see how it unfolds.

I think it's a matter of opinion as God of War has never really appealed to me, whereas HZD I knew the moment I saw it being advertised in 2017 and all that fo rthe PS that if it ever came to PC I would pounce on it as he game always intrigued me. Beautiful world wonderous machines. It's almos tlike Guerilla looked into m ymind saw the things I like about games and put them all into one package. I tdefinitely is one of m yfavouriet games I have now anyway.Lookin forward t oplaying HZD again soon onc I ge tthrough my latest Andromeda playthrough

SWTOR
My baby trooper Firna Noryl finished the Nar Shaddaa storyline. SHe decided to come clean with the SIS agent and tell him about the deflection - Garza wasn't amused. Well, too bad. My girl isn't some mindless tool, she thinks for herself and decides, what is the best in the situation. Her mission was to stop the battle droid M1-4X, wha was controlled by Tavus. She had help from a Twilek hacker, who helped her finding out, where M1 is located and get her in there. When she confronted the imperial who controlled M1 for Tavus, the droid was aware of his situation and begged Firna to destroy him, so that he won't be able to go against his beloved republic. She did that, but the SIS was able to retrieve and repair the droid and he became the newest member of Havoc Squad - much to his joy.

Dithered about for a few hours trying to decide on a game. Finally went on picking up where I left off for MELE. Did I survey everything on this planet? I remembered I did make sure to do every planet in the system before logging off. So on to the next system. Ten minutes into it and I was getting more and more irritated. The Mako seemed more aggravating in MELE. I couldn't traverse up the stupid steep slopes. I gave up after more wrangling and went to look for a mod. Hoping for one that makes the Mako fly or something. The best I could find was persistent booster.

But if you level the Mako properly, speed up enough and then step on the elevation booster, you can fly up for quite a while with the booster mod. The trick is, as I pointed, leveling the Mako properly beforehand. Just a slight tilt forward or backward and the elevation booster will flip you.

So well you know when I said something along the lines of I wouldn't get the Hitman 2 stuff unless there was a sale? I think that is what I said anyways...and well there was a sale. Twenty bucks off. One of the first times I have seen a sale on a seasons pass. Fun story though I was able to get it in with 1 minute and 24 seconds left. Far Cry 6Man this game in one word? Inconsistent. Dani and Danny vs. Everybody.Side mission I know but still worth it. This is still worth it. Peak level Ubisoft ridiciliousness in terms of overall set up. You meet the actor Danny Trejo...who is playing himself. He is making tacos. And then you have to defend him from the Yaran authorities who are really, really, eager to get his recipe. To comical agree.
Still it was annoying how this basically did turn into a base defense mission as he talked. Though I think I flipped the script when I shot down the leaders helo with my Supremo. SundownThere was a lot of great set up here, some powerful cutscenes, a tense climb up to a church into sniper position. And well some more implications that *someone* is betraying them. Honestly I am beginning to wonder if there is not a good red hairing situation going on here. And well Papa Montero died saving his son who was about to be executed. Actually that is the set up. Jose Castillo was going to execute a whole bunch of people which the main one ended up being Aleijo Castillo. We go to see him, discover he is rigged to blow, Papa takes the bomb, and the sniper Dani was using was rigged to explode on him. So yes. Trap.
But then what followed was probably one of the worse escort missions in the history of escort missions and quite possibly two glitches.
Aleijo was injured during the initial incident and well Dani decided to drag him out of there...and well then Espada ran around the church as if engaging in a fire fight but she didn't. So yeah he died then restarted and she ran off pretty much just fine and we missed it.
But wait, there was more, as we had to flee in a vehichle with me in the back seat. I discovered for ease of convenience that I could switch to the M-60 that I just picked up which was a bit helpful. Yet still died twice. And then third time made it by the skin of my teeth, only for Philly to keep on driving the truck into *something* over and over. It exploded eventually.
I'm not happy.

I'm having a problem with the MELE tweak mod manager. It was working then it's not.
The problem originated with the Helena Blakde's quest; kill two crime bosses. I killed the first, that was when I ran into the Mako trouble and installed the booster mod. It was then I realised the other mods were not working; showing assignments, ore locations and the like so I enabled them.
I went to kill the second crime boss but the quest failed to update. It told me to kill the second crime boss. I went back to the first crime boss location and there's nothing there. I did a verify files to see if it would solve the problem. It didn't.
Now ME3Tweaks Mod Manager flat out refuse to recognise the location of MELE. I'm playing on Steam so I'm directing it to the MELElauncher location since that's the only MELE exe file there. Anyone has any solution or point out where I went wrong?
The Helena Blake quest is pretty much broken at this point so I'm not even trying to get it back on track.

MELE
I found the problem. 😄 I should direct the location to games\ME1 when modding ME1. Not the launcher.
Helena Blake doesn't factor in much anyway. Her quest is just to gain xps. It's not going to matter her quest glitched since I can edit with the save editor for ME2.

Playing God of War (friend of mine bought the PC version and we have Steam family share ). I never played the old GoW games, though obviously I knew of them and I had some idea who Kratos is. Still, even knowing that, his macho "I am so badass" attitude is going on my nerves quite a bit. The whole dynamic between him and "boy" doesn't really click with me. Christopher Judge was an excellent choice for the VO though. Feels like he is back in his role as Teal'c. Visuals are very impressive for sure, so the game certainly has that going for it. It is rather difficult though. Even after just a few hours and while the game is still explaining basic mechanics to you, you get into pretty tough fights. Since I don't really play the game for the challenge, I just turned the difficulty down to easy and now it's not an issue anymore but even on normal, I did get my ass kicked a bunch of times. In terms of gameplay, it reminds me a lot of the Tomb Raider reboot games (hub worlds with limited exploration and some collectable stuff but not really an open world) which is good IMO. Gives the game decent pacing. All in all, objectively, it's a very good game I'd say, though it's not really my cup of tea entirely. We'll see how far I get. Glad I could test it this way without buying it myself.
By the way, looks like they had some fun with the voice actors while making the game.

Rune Factory 4 Have finished act one and got my favorite character back for a while. Lied about building up reserves for honey so had to scramble a bit for some pancakes, but have now got one hornet in the barn who is in charge of honey production and doing quite admirably. So fav character gets their pancakes once in a while and is amazed each and every time.
Am strategically delaying the next act for a while to enjoy said characters company before I potentially loose them for good. And also using the time to beef up my weapons and getting everyone to around 7 hearts or more. Except for Doug because he's difficult.
So ended up braving the Maya Road on my own accord and managed to get through it. Still mildly struggling with it so might use it as a base for deciding when to move to the next arc. When I can comfortably get through it I should be quite ready. Or well, I hope so. Or might just go with the second plan of starting the next arc the next year. Then I'll have seen almost all her reactions to the festivals and won't feel like I'm missing out as much.
Meanwhile causing diplomatic incidents across the border. There was a sign with red letters that said I would regret going there, but so far it's actually kinda nice. Made a friend in there who cooks me something tasty once in a while, the enemies are less of a hassle than in Maya Road (they still beat me up, just not as severely as the others) and I like the whole Winter Wonderland it has going on.
Granted there was that encounter with the drones but like...it's fine.
But been enjoying myself. Think I've never gotten this far in the year via regular play, so seeing some new stuff, which is pretty neat. Also don't think I've ever gotten the heart ranks so high either, so bunch of cute friendship stuff I'm seeing as well.

So had my 2nd almost rage quit the game moments in Ghost Recon yesterday. The first one was where I had to hijack a guys car which after half a dozen try's I just completely gave up on. Getting the car after disabling and the two escort cars and fighting the soldiers in them was difficult enough but having it not get blown up or getting blown up whilst you steal it was impossible for me anyway. And every time you fail you get kicked way back to somewhere else, no checkpoints. So not surprisingly the second time was also hijacking a vehicle then taking it to a compound to blame someone else for the theft. That actually worked out pretty well but what the game doesn't tell you is that when you get out of the truck after parking it is that you have to escape the compound undetected. Well given there are 5 guards all with LoS of each other and only one gate, well two but they are beside each other makes it impossible to kill all the guards without being detected. So after three failed attempts and you are talking at least 45 minutes of gaming maybe closer to an hour I looked up a video and trick apparently is to stop the truck outside the gate and kill 4 of the guards through a side gate and leave one guy who apparently looks like he has LoS but doesn't as soon as you get out of the truck. So tried that and failed as I moved too far from the truck. I gave up and asked my son if he'd done it but he hadn't but when I went down to tell him about the video he was failing for the third time. Anyway he completed it Rambo style, that will be my next attempt but it will be no more than two try's and that will be my last attempt and I'll just leave that mission unless it's essential to finishing the game and if so it will be only my second incomplete game that I have played. EDIT: So flew over the compound you park the truck you steal as it had a gun part I think you could pick up and thought hey I know that place. So landed, killed the guards and left and chased the truck I needed to capture. Got the truck back safely and there were no guards. Left undetected - Mission Complete. On the positive side I did really well in half a dozen other missions, can't figure out though why my screenshots are working sometimes and not others. Briefing with the boss Nice Topiary, I think that's what it is called Taking a bike for a spin Yay landed a plane, actually two for two yesterday. Scenery

Far Cry 6On a hunch I decided to double check which difficulty I was playing on and well...it was accidentally set up on 'action mode' which is the game's 'hard' mode which is very...hard. Apparently. And well now I can talk about differences in difficulty and well its...very bi polar. I wouldn't say bullets do next to no damage or well a lot less and well the mission that I had issues with took me only one time. Though more on that in a moment. And well bows...I suppose this is an accurate depiction of a stick and string against modern fire arms but...well the accuracy seems a bit inconsistent with the thing...which makes it hard to do. But there are benefits to...getting head shots with the thing is super satisfying. SundownSo this was hyper frustraing. Really...well no this is hillarious though because I was telling my wife that the auto save system is actually pretty good in this game, still sucks that it is an auto save system and not manual save. And well I had to go all the way back to the start of the mission with sneaking into the church. I was so mad. Though I guess in defense I suppose I cannot confirm that it actually saved.
But yeah this time it pretty much went off without a hitch...oh your bullets hit a lot harder in story mode either.
Then well my Red Herring thing quickly was proven inaccurate. I got confused I guess on who was handling the weapons which is why I thought it was a possibility but Davi mentioned that it was Miguel's rifle...and that synched it. Though in an ironically funny sense Miguel did actually name dropped Philly as being a culprit as he was good with explosives. Espada didn't buy it and coldly knifed him down. It was bad ass.
And I suppose it was inevitable but Anton is a bad ass and the best villain since Pagan Min. Of course Giancarlo Esposito you could not go wrong with. And well though he is teaching Diego how to hunt and well Jose is there bragging about him being a bad ass and his victory...and Anton points out that that effectively made him a martyr and most of his soldiers come from that region. He then tells him to run, tells Diego to shoot him, he manages it despite not being able to hit the duciks. Bad ass. Bury the HatchetSet up. Pay off. So Aleijo Monterro thinks he has found Carlos's Machete lost in the battle and asks me to go retrieve it. Pretty much a quick errand. When I get back they are holding a funeral to Carlos and Aleijo comes in and is given a big cold shoulder from everyone there, I think even Espada basically told him to go away. Either that or out of pity. Anyways though then as if to prove Anton's point three more soldiers effectively come in and effectively 'defect'. Now I do wonder if this will be the end of it or if there will be a deeper message here and well how much this is intentional but bit interesting how Aleijo is treated like garbage despite everything which happened but then these soldier traitors just show up no questions asked? And this is especially after Miguel's already betryal to boot. But I guess Aleijo's must hurt more.

I had no issues that I remember with either ME Tweaks or Mass Effect Modder or the Trilogy Save Editor with MELE, except that some MODS just didn't work most likely as I had not installed them correctly. The main ones I used though were aesthetic mods for different armour types but I also used The Extended Anderson Dialogue mod, the Kirrahe Makes Good Mod, One Probe all resources and No Reapers when scanning Mod.

Well I used the TSE to correct the glitched quests. I think the problem lies in that I installed the mods halfway through the game instead of putting them in before I start any PT.

My Breton just made Master Wizard. i.imgur.com/jmmz0We.png(Yeah I know, it's hard to make a pretty Breton in vanilla Oblivion.) Although she's got her eye on the top job. A lot of the guild mages aren't happy with the way Traven is running the show. Half the council of mages resigned when he took over as Archmage. And I hate them faded wraiths. You kill them and they still keep floating there. You can't tell the dead ones from the ah... undead ones.

MELE The quest tracker is definitely haywire. Just finished X-57. I found the first engineer and told Simon in the first conversation. He said to look for the other two. I found the two and told him in the end conversation. Then he said there's still one more. I've already told him about the first one! The quest tracker said I've found the first engineer but further attempts in talking to Simon ends with him persisting in asking Shep to look for the third. Whacky.

Far Cry 6
It occured to me that maybe it would still be worth it to put on a silencer on my sniper afterall even with the decrease in range because even putting it on my rifle before didn't really effect its range maybe and I was still nailing head shots. But then I am still not sure which then led to some...
Well lets see getting more used to the bow at least right now. Nailing more head shots and doing healthier things. My biggest complaint I guess is the whole thing is shooting the bow and well I've mentioned this before but pretty sure 1 arrow can take down half, or even more, of an enemies health, but a second arrow would never completley eliminate them...unless head shots are involved. Though I must say again getting more confident in the thing. Best example was saw a soledado running up to me so I hid down behind a fountain then when confident I popped up and put an arrow or 2 into them...or 3? Contradiction detected? Also keeping in mind both of the above I decided to craft poison arrows for the bow. Much to my chagrin it does take off a lot of the base damage from the arrow but then I think it does damage over time...and can cause enemies to turn on one another. Not sure if its worth it which grumble grumble I used it on two guards and one guard did take out another but the other guard was like a bit tanky and well if no enemies are around it will just stand there so 9t becomes worthless and well this might be cheating but since you cannot switch arrows mid battle you then have to go t a more traditional weapon. though suppose I should experiment with machete kills in these situations.
While going about my day I went by and blew u two more AA guns and blew them up but on the second one...while things went off without a hitch...when the Supremo charged the first time the rockets went completly off and blew up...some grass. So I had to wait a LOT for it to regenerate. I need explosives.
Not much story spoiler wise for the missions. One was a simple assassination mission, going after people involved in the events of Sundown. One location turned into like three. Only real note is I was pretty proud of myself I pretty much stealthed all the way up to killing the initial guy in the initial area. Had some trouble on the clean up though but again kudos to this game for at least this, you don't have to clear these bases out to get stuff...not really.
Second mission is also the typical clearing out the area of all the AA guns.

MELE Finished ME1. Before starting ME2, I checked that all the quests are completed with the TSE. I decided not to go with the imported face as I want Shep to have a different hairstyle due to her two years of unconsciousness. When I was done, she doesn't look anything like the old FemSheps of the older game versions even though I gave her pretty much the same measurements. I guess this is due to whatever small changes they did to CC, graphics, etc. For the LE2 mods, I put in the LE1 movement animation as I've had enough of the heavy tread of the old trilogy. Also put in more armour options and a leather jacket. I don't know if it's the mods but when Shep woke up at the station, she's in her underwear. I was astonished.

Playing TW3. I like to unlock armor dye as soon as possible, problem is that you need to start a pretty high level quest to do it. But I've got it down to a science now, the first fight can be avoided, Golyat can be killed with one shot, and Milton can be left at the riverbank. Which is funny, sadly there is no unique dialogue if you left him there for a while. The dye merchant only sells select dye though, so I at least wanted the black and white armor dye formulas. Black is easy, you just need to play a little game of hide and seek with a Vampire. Haha. White is much more of a pain, as you have to take out a Hanse base. I did so by luring enemies into a cellar to avoid arrows, and then spammed Aard Sweep to stagger enemies. I also put game difficulty to easy, didn't go too badly.
In the past I only used the Runewright on New Game+ when I had coin to spare, but I wanted to do things a bit different. It took some time to amass the coin for it, though breaking up the smuggling trade in Skellige helps a lot with that. Haha. I've come to realize question mark hunting in The Witcher 3 is basically planet mining in Mass Effect 2 with better vistas. LOL. I put the Replenishment rune on my swords for the first time, it doesn't seem to be all that useful, but I had a laugh walking around with a flaming sword. I'm Henry Cavill's Witcher Geralt now. I initially had difficulty set to easy for the fight with the Arachnomorphs, but it was fairly easy so I changed the difficult back to 'Blood and Broken Bones'.
Geralt went WWE on Dijkstra's other leg (he broke the first in the books), poor Dijkstra wasn't aware he was standing between Geralt and Ciri this time. With the assassination plot cut short, Radovid wins the North, its the worst ending, but its the probably the most in line with books. I wonder if Gwent is part of the game canon or not, as I believe Radovid is the victor in one of the Gwent expansions.
Tomira the herbalist needs to be saved from Witch Hunters in the epilogue. Even though the story reverts back in post ending play, you still lose access to Tomira's shop. Another cool touch showing that the game remembers everything went to hell, is when the player is in the main town in White Orchard, the Velen ambient track is replaced by the Witch Hunter one. Its a subtle transition, really gives of a sense of foreboding.
